Reviewed By CalvapomNous avons passé une nuit dans cette guest House pour visiter Kamakura. Très bon accueil, sympathique et efficace. Le logement est spacieux, petite cuisine pour se faire à manger éventuellement. C’est propre. Douche et toilettes communes sur le palier. Ne prévoyez pas de faire la grasse matinée, le soleil se lève tôt, les voitures aussi ! Comme beaucoup de logements au Japon, l’isolation phonique n’est pas exceptionnel, donc nous entendons bien les voitures (Bouchons d’oreille à disposition à l’accueil). Petit déj inclus et possibilité de se laisser ses bagages, très pratique ! Nous recommandons

Reviewed By NeseborDo not be fooled by the word bunkbeds, they are thin futons on wooden frames. Not very comfortable. Room was small with shared bathroom in the hall. We did not get towels, which made usage of the bathrooms a little difficult. It was too pricey for the standard.

Reviewed By dor66The room is decent with big lockers, 2 rooms sharing 2 toilets. There is common bathroom and a communal hot bath, that's my favourite place to go everyday. The dressing area is well thought of n spotless clean. Shampoo, shower gel, conditioner using DHC amenity. Hand gel using Pola. 3mins walk to yuigahama station. 7-11, family mart, lawson all within 6min walk. The common area could have better seating. All seats are v firm n upright. It will be better with some to laze on. All staff are friendly except one trainee, when checking in I leave my occupation blank, he insist I need to fill it in. I told him I'm not working n he give me a roll eye look.... The yoga class is nice too... Overall very happy to stay and highly recommended.

Cozy hotel run by a real Samurai!
Reviewed By SkioldCozy, comfy little guesthouse run by a super-nice and engaging young man who is a "modern Samurai" - dresses the part, super knowledgable about the area, very socially engaged with helping developmentally disabled kids in the area. I wish I'd had more time to stay and talk with him, he seemed like such a great guy. He'll even make you breakfast! Convenient location (2 min walk to a bus stop and 10 min walk to Kamakura station). It's a small place, I think it only has two rooms. If you want a "hotel" environment then look elsewhere, but if you want a personal, homey experience, I recommend it highly and want to come back.

Singularly Fun Experience
Reviewed By JJoseph54I lived on Kamakura for some years decades ago, and wanted to bring my family back to visit. We chose the Guest House because of reviews and the fact that it could offer us a unique in-country experience we would not get by staying at a hotel. We were not disappointed. As a family of four, we reserved the one private room, which has four large bunks, and were very comfortable there. There are also two large tatami-mat dorm rooms, separated by gender. In addition to two other dorm guests, Ikumi-san (26) and Mariko-san (65), there were four resident managers. We shared a communal, informal meal, drank beer and sake, and had a wonderful time. Jun, a resident, played the shamisen, while Ikumi, a guest, played the koto. It was an amazing concert. We can recommend the Guest House highly.

Reviewed By RangerriqGreat stay at Iza Kamakura Guest House!!! The good: The staff at Iza Kamakura Guest House are the best part of the stay. They are very friendly. Most of them speak English, though some of the staff that were cleaning and serving food didn't speak English at all. Better to stick to conversing with the front desk hosts. The staff helped us plan out what to do in Kamakura and anything else we needed! The less good: The building is older and lots of old wood paneling. The common areas could be cleaner, but since the building is older, I can see how that could be difficult. My main advice to the staff is to clean as much as possible as that is expected in any Japanese lodging. The shower room was perfectly fine!

Reviewed By 3murakami6hiroki11【総評】 良いところだけど、ドミトリールーム以外は2人で利用しないと高いし、割に合わないかなと感じるかも。 【部屋】 宿泊したのは「ZEN」ルーム。 非常にシンプルで簡素な部屋。 照明は全体的に暗めで、天井が吊り下げられた電球が２つあるのみ。 その内１つは球体の中に盆栽が中に入っていて、和モダンを感じさせる。 部屋の色も白と茶色メインで落ち着きを感じさせる。 ドアは障子で、カードキーで開けられるスマートロックが取り付けられている。 敷布団だが折り目のついた敷いたり、畳んだりしやすい布団でクッションも良かった。 机はないのでノートPCや書き物などがある人は不便かも。 【館内全体】 1Fにアートギャラリーが展示されてあり、和(禅)やサーフィン、モダンといったテーマで展示されてる模様。 実際館内全体も和(禅)をコンセプトにシンプルでモダンな感じにしたアートのような印象がある。 ただ確かに和の情緒は溢れているが、幼少期から祖父の古い家に住んでいた自分からすると、非日常感を感じない。 だがかと言って、禅やモダンさを取り入れているから、普通の古民家とは違うので懐かさしさも感じないといった感じ。 後、庭園があるが、小さいけれども雰囲気があって良かった。 庭園の事は詳しくわからないが、しっかり手入れされている印象で、見ていて気持ち良かった。 また館内にはスマートロックを除く、テレビや時計などのデジタルグッズを置いておらず、スタッフの方に確認したところ、自身の外側ではなく、自身の内側と向き合う事をコンセプトにしているとのことだった。 実際、ここのサウナを利用している時などは時間を忘れることができて、良かった！ 【接客】 女性スタッフ1人しかいなかったが、 優しい人柄で親切なご対応して頂いた。 ゲストハウスは今回がほぼ初めての利用なので、わからないけれど良い方なのではないかと思う。 少なくともビジネスホテルの人と比べると、優しく親切な接客をして頂いたと思っている。 【金額】 2人部屋の「ZEN」ルームで金額は税込12,600円。 2人部屋で割り勘にすれば、6,300円とお手頃な価格だが、今回は1人で利用した。 良いところだけれども、やはりゲストハウスなので、これで12,600円だと正直ちょっと割高な感じが否めないかな。 利用したことはないが「ドミトリー」ルームだと1人約5,000円で価格以上のゲストハウスだと思う。

【素敵な接客と綺麗な空間】
Reviewed By 3104Arata・1泊3850円(4人部屋)にて宿泊させていただきました。 ・マスターがとても良い方で、夜のお食事処や昼の観光スポットなど、ご自身からヒアリングして必要に応じて教えてくださいます。NoPlanでふらっと訪れても鎌倉を愉しむことができるお宿です。 ・内装やお部屋、シャワールームもとても綺麗で居心地が非常に良いです。各ベッドに電源も複数完備されているので充電に悩まされることもないです。また、居間(和室)ではTVが常時ついており、コーヒーやお茶などのセルフサービスとともにゆっくり過ごせます。 ・立地としては、「長谷駅」から5分くらいの場所で海沿いから一本路地を入ったところではありますが、朝一番に小鳥のさえずりを聞いて起きて、30秒もあるくと海岸に出るので、晴れた日にはしっかりと朝日を浴びながら気持ちの良い寝起きを味わえます。朝から海沿いをウォーキングするのもよさそうですね。 ・周辺のお食事スポットは基本的には早め(大体21:00頃まで)にクローズされるお店が多いですが、24:00頃まで空いているお店もなくはないので、食事や飲み場所にも困りません。むしろ、外にくりだすことで、ローカルな方々と接せられる良い機会にもなります。 ・良い距離感で接客してくださったマスターとマスターのお母さん、居心地の良い空間に感謝です。また訪れたいと思います。ありがとうございました。

Clean and Lovely guesthouse 5 minutes walk from Hase Kamakura railway station
Reviewed By petra dThe host was very kind: he sended us a mail a few days before arrival to make an appointment at the station. He spoke very fluently English and gave us a warm welcome. The house was very clean. The shared bathroom was also very clean but cold. We would have appreciated to have towels and breakfast. But our 1 st night on a futon was perfect. Good and cheap place to spend the night.
