That was bad enough but when I reported this at check out time, I was told that when the hotel is heavily booked, they often run out of hot water. It's bad enough that we had to experience this, but what makes it worse is that the hotel apparently is aware of the issue but won't get it fixed. Too bad because everything else was very nice.

After we checked in, headed to the Lobby Restaurant - Matadora & had a scrumptious dinner in a relaxing, welcoming atmosphere. with great & attentive service. Only downside, depending on the side of the Rooms, you can smell the strong BBQ & while in dining, the smoke emitting from the Grill can become overpowering.

Reviewed By eugeneaThey gave my room away to someone else “ accidentally “ after lying and said Expedia or I cancelled the reservation. They probably got more money since there was a shortage on rooms that weekend. I argued on the phone and with them for over an hour. The rude manager or owner left and sent out an employee to deal with me. He then admitted it was their fault but they could not give me a room since there was no place. I had to find another room on my own on a busy graduation weekend in Boston. Paid 3 times the price elsewhere and had to driver 40 miles away. No other options. Ruined my dinner reservation and an aggravating weekend. Do not go here.

Poor response, missing money
Reviewed By Pathfinder569208I write to reflect on my recent stay of 4 nights at the Crowne Plaza Boston - Woburn, an IHG Hotel. May 5-8 After booking two queen beds 7-10 days in advance, we arrived late (9 Pm) on May 5th tired and worn from 2 days of driving. After arriving in our room we discovered 2 double beds. Sad. Being so late, we decided not to wait a half hour to determine if the true booking was available. Next day, we left to conduct our business and returned to find our room completely ignored. No towels, trash not removed etc. So we had to make another trip downstairs to ask for help. One of the reasons for not using the house room was our phone button marked “front desk” actually called 911! The third day, again we left our room for business and accidentally left our Charlie ticket (Boston Subway) with $100 valve on the desk. We returned to find the ticket gone. I would think people who live near Boston would know that a Charlie ticket has an Orange arrow on it and not remove it. After talking with your manager and getting no positive response, I am writing to you and looking to get the $100 refunded to our account. I am enclosing an attachment of the purchase at Star market and a picture of a Charlie ticket.

Reviewed By Atanu NNothing great to talk about, usual hotel. Front desk is helpful and few good restaurants are nearby. Stayed for 3 nights but room service was never done. Breakfast is good with multiple option. Overall, costly for the services provided. Lift is very old and it’s a pain.

Reviewed By Daffodil42Nice hotel. Nice room. Average breakfast area. Clean. No complaints. We were visiting Boston, which was approximately 10 miles away from downtown/Seaport area. We had a rental car. The ride back and forth was not difficult. Hotel had a nice exercise area and was kept clean.

Staff was quick to replenish coffee when asked. Bed very comfortable; huge TV with cable available. The blower on the hear/air-conditioning unit was so strong I had to cover it with a bath towel.

Bad experience and nickel and dime approach...

We stayed there for two nights while attending our son's graduation in Boston and when asking about their breakfast ( which showed available when booking) we we're told it was not available and we could go to Dunkin donuts. We had no car and when I called customer care to ask the next day ,they told me it was because they had no cook. Also , there was coffee behind the desk that we asked for one and were given with no issue upon arrival and once the next morning. When I asked the front desk for some coffee the next day, a male worker stepped in for the girl there and asked if I wanted it charged to room or would be paying cash for the coffee( $6.65) . I asked if he was kidding and said not today and that they had a lot of nerve charging guests for coffee that was free earlier and also since they had no breakfast because they couldn't hire a cook. He just argued that we had coffee in our room ( 2 small cups only ) and said he was doing his job. I emailed and called customer care again only to be told someone from the hotel would get in touch with me. I said I doubted it, and after trying one more time I still have had zero attempts from the hotel in 10 days to address it with me.

Reviewed By Lori FGM of the hotel is a RUDE & NASTY person; our room was not clean, and the shower did not work. called down to and spoke with the GM and was told GET OUT, LEAVE I WILL CALL THE POLICE all because I wanted a shower that worked and a clean room, I mean I did pay over $500.00 to stay there! Also, DO NOT GO THROUGH HOTELS.COM they assured me they would refund my money since I was kicked out and only stayed 1 night instead of the 3 I paid for. Now I am being told there is no record of that conversation and they will call me back!
