Central hotel, clean but basic

This hotel is in a lovely position with car parking outside. We had a corner room with a Juliet balcony so we could open the doors and enjoy the afternoon sun. It was good we had this as although they advertise a pool it was closed even though it was 24 degrees here. I only booked it because we were breaking a long car journey and wanted the exercise of swimming after sitting all day. There is no where at the hotel to sit outside so be aware if booking. However apart from this it is good value for money.

Honest cheap hotel

The hotel is quite basic but it is clean and nice. The staff was friendly and helpful, the price is good, and the city center is a few minutes, within walking distance. Parking was not difficult at all, despite some of the streets being closed of Easter religious celebrations.

Stopped for drinks and tapas

Reviewed By Aequitas6

We weren't staying at the hotel but, as is the custom in Toro, trawling around the streets visiting the bars. This place is located on the main drag next to the Plaza Mayor and like the other bars in the area you can sit outside or under the colonnade. When we visited our observation was that the tapas selection was very poor compared to many of the other bars around however it is still a great location to sit, admire the view and watch the world go by.

The staff are simply the best and look after us very well. Breakfast on nice days is in the medieval courtyard, we love this. enchanting Marialba

This Bed & Breakfast is built with so much care for detail and a lot of taste. The public area includes a comfortable living room, a so called library, a dining/breakfast room and a hall which is in fact a greenhouse and the most irresistible place in this wonderful building. Upstairs you will find six or seven guest rooms with a view on the countryside. The beds are very comfortable, the bathroom is bright and basic and everything is clean and in good shape. The owners live in a separate building. They are very friendly, speak fluent French and serve a simple but sufficient breakfast. A big garden offers a lot of space. Here you can enjoy the many birds around. There are enough tables, chairs and benches in the sun and shade and of course there is a private parking. This enchanting place seduces to stay all day. But don't forget to visit the area. Zamora is a beautiful city, no doubt. But Toro is a place with a very special charm. Here we met the most hospitable people of Castilla y Leon: in shops, restaurants and the parish clerk of the main church, the Colegiata with its stunning 13th-century carved doorway decorated with surprinsingly well preserved coloured figures. You see, many reasons to visit Marialba B&B and its area!

Wouldn't stay any where else

This place is fantastic. Javi is an excellent host. It is not the most luxurious accommodation, in fact it is quite basic, however when you combine the free breakfast, discount on lunch, friendly and hospitable staff and all the other benefits when you stay here you will not find a more enjoyable and unbelievable value for money place to stay. Oh and it is dog friendly.
