Reviewed By 6happyhikersLet me preface this review by saying we didn’t actually get to stay in this hotel. I had a reservation and upon arrival I noticed a sign that said the front desk clerk was off doing other things. I waited a few minutes and the first thing she said was that the hotel had an incident and that there wasn’t any hot water. She offered me a cancellation without penalty. It was approaching 6pm and now I had to find a different hotel. It was very frustrating that nobody had contacted me via phone/text/email/app to let me know of the situation. It could have saved me some time/gas driving to and from the hotel. The front desk clerk also said she could not help me find another IHG reservation because each property is independently owned and operated. Communication is key and this situation should have been handled differently.

Reviewed By Alisa909012So my friend and I wanted to do a weekend getaway and this was one of the best priced hotels for Memorial Day weekend. We got there at 3am from a 6 hr long trip. The guy at the front was pretty nice and the room was ready for us (non-smoking). We walked into a room that was meant to be a one-bed queen. It seemed quite small. This was the beginning of the long journey ahead in this hotel. Cons: First, bring your own comforter because they think that a semi-thicker sheet is a comforter. You will be cold. Next, bring your own shampoo/conditioner because it is not provided for you. Super strange. Also, the second day we were there we got a notice under the door that said that they were “short on staff and couldn’t clean our room that day.” I also noticed that there were some pieces of hair in the shower the day we got there that, obviously, were not mine. Pros: some on-demand tv shows/movies, there is a mini (no hot foods-only cereal and muffins) continental breakfast. But warning: it’s only 6:30-9:30am. They will look the doors at 9:30am. There is a 24 hr coffee/tea machine if that helps? There’s hot water in the shower though. The staff were all pretty nice I suppose. Overall, not a great experience. I mean you get what you pay for though. If you’re spending a night and need a quick place to stay, this might be your go-to cheap place. I wouldn’t suggest spending more than a night here though!

Reviewed By JMcGroryWe checked into this hotel for one night and was glad we were not booked for any more. The check in staff were not friendly at all. I asked if I could pay by cash instead of charging my card and I was made to feel like it would be a huge inconvenience. The room was dirty. The microwave had food particles left in it, the toilet was not cleaned properly and there were no hand towels for drying your hands. The Kleenex box was empty and the carpets were so dirty that our sox were black within minutes of being in the room. I will not stay at this hotel again.

Reviewed By karen mWe tried to save a little money by staying outside of Niagara on our trip. We booked a non-smoking room, but our room smelled like stale cigarettes. Our blanket had cigarette holes in it. The front desk called our room around 1am, and asked me if my wifi worked. I was in a dead sleep. I said "as far as I know". Then the front desk person asked me if I knew the password. What an odd thing to happen! All in all it was a place we could sleep and leave during the day. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone however.

Reviewed By Discgirl23My Boyfriend and I were exhausted from driving, just needed a shower and sleep so we stopped in... this place was disgusting. Wore shoes the entire time and sandals in the shower. Room was smelly, no trash can, fridge didn’t work, and the towels were also rancid. To top it off the couple in the next room screamed on top of their lungs the entire night, to the point of domestic violence. We alerted the manager and no action was taken, asked for a refund and nothing was granted, so we packed up and left.

No Good Hotel
Reviewed By josephhL7293ABStayed at the hotel for a couple months for business purposes, and I will not be returning back to the Royal Inn my room had a water leak from the ceiling, the owners never fixed it the ceiling was damaged and there was paint chips falling everywhere into my belongings, the toilet was the worst of it it was a moving toilet everytime u sat down on it it would move forward the. U go to stand up and the toilet moves back, it was like sitting in on a kids toy at the playground. The bathroom sink (water) would make noises and it would come on automatically the water would. They were not very friendly service at all. Would not recommend this hotel
