When i first came to Tagum City, i noticed a large hotel, and i said i want to use it for my safety, and iliked it. I been to Philippines two times, and Big 8 hotel has been the only hotel i like to stay in for my vacation. If you looking for a hotel with swimmingpool, a bar, live music, fantastic overview from the top restaurant, a gym, kind staff that talk english, and is there for you always at your service then Big 8 hotel is the hotel where you can find all this. Whenever i like to travel to Philippines, i really want to go to Tagum City to stay in Big 8 hotel. I rather much live there if i have the money for it. They got everything there, and if you wish to go to mall, there are malls on the same way as the hotel stay. In the evening or night, the hotel has many guards who provide exelent safety, and if you are friendly and treat them with kindness and respect you can feel even safer. After a long day of walking around to take videos, you can go to the spa located in the same buildiing. there you can fully trust the staff, you can close your eyes and relax, let the spa workers do their magic on your stiff back. that is something i did every 2 days, it was amazing experience. then in the evening some local band play music there eithernear the bar on the swimmingpool area or at the top restaurant. Staff are easy to talk with, one thing i always remember is the smiles of the staff, they are very friendly and wish me have a good time. That is why i give them a top score. Reviewed By LaonsinaWith complementary breakfast served at 7 am, with choice of brewed coffee or other instant hot drinks. They offer 50% on walk in guest who stay for 12 hours. Very near Robinsons mall. They have their own restaurant too. Families stay here, with pools and a small playground area. Their cable channels are pre-screened so there are no adult channels even if guests request for it.Since Tagum is marshy, the water shower water will smell, but they keep a drinking water refilling station- free at the restaurant area.

Does Not Live Up To Expectations
Reviewed By magharmonWe had reserved a couple of rooms for a couple nights for our wedding. The rooms were not that great for the price they charge you. Wifi did not work for the 2 days we were there after repeated calls to ask them to look into it. You will be nickled and dimed for every little thing. I was just not pleased with the hotel itself. The free breakfast was probably their only good thing I can give a positive comment. Would not recommend anyone to stay there. Try “Happy Home Budgetel” near Robinsons Place Mall. You will get a great deal with better conditions and also a free breakfast, wifi that works and is air conditioned. Most of our wedding party stayed there in 2 dorm rooms.

Hotel was closed!
Reviewed By MGDG0407We called the hotel to advise that we are arriving late and were told that our booking was confirmed for another property. Since we were in a place with a very bad signal (for calls and wifi) - calls always get cut off - we decided to just wait for their advice through email. We did not receive any advice through email or thru Booking.com's messenger so we still went to the hotel. We were so shocked to see that the property was closed!!! As per the people living near the hotel, the property has been closed since last year!!! Honestly, the place looked like it an abandoned building. If the hotel is close, then obviously it should show as available!!! It's false advertising!!! You know already that the hotel is closed yet you still accept bookings and then relocate the guests without proper notification!!!
