Corporations like Genentech and Plenty Unlimited Inc. are within three miles. Visit Downtown, the Golden Gate Bridge, and Bay area beaches, all within 20 miles of us.
Great hotel
Reviewed By hrman835I stayed the night prior to my flight. Reasonable rates, excellent restaurant, great location. Only problem the shuttle starts at 5:15am. The employees were great and very helpful. Walkable are with several restaurants nearby.

Reviewed By karenp601This is definitely an ok hotel.Room was clean although the corner room I had was small.Breakfast is included although I left early so had no chance to try this.At the time they did not appear to be any food service for other meals although I later found out the hotel does have a limited bar food service from 5pm untill 9pm.There is also a McDonald's over the road from the hotel. Not many staff members around when I checked in.Staff were ok but difficult to find.No staff were around at all in the morning when I went to catch the shuttle.The hotel does also offer a park and ride service which is much cheaper than parking at the airport. Overall would probably stay here again

Very convenient to the airport
Reviewed By sctraveler15My husband and I stayed here flying into and out of SFO. It is an older but updated Hampton. The pros: Very convenient to SFO. It was especially easy to get to the rental car return center. Comfortable bed. Clean. The cons: not a great neighborhood with only a couple food choices. We settled for a Popeyes chicken sandwich.

Reviewed By dolce_romanaI was pleasantly surprised how clean and comfortable this Sonesta property is. Front desk employees Roumel, Nicolas and Gio are wonderful, attentive and very helpful. Checking in is a fast and easy procedure, be reminded that you must give your credit card upon check in, the full amount of your stay plus incidental charges must be authorized. So be ready to up your card limit if needed. Beautiful walking trail around the bay usually frequented by locals, it is very windy so if you're not used to it you will feel overwhelmed !! Breakfast is served at the restaurant (a la carte) and so is dinner but check their times because they vary. Comfortable and clean room with sitting area sofa, flat screen tv and mini fridge to stock your water... Coffee maker with coffee was very convenient. Housekeeping is on certain days of the week ask for more coffee on the days housekeeping is not done. Not much in terms of entertainment in the area but you can walk to Starbucks, a greek restaurant, Foundry + Lux the Pub/Lounge, and AC Marriott Hotel for drinks or dinner. Shuttle service to and from the airport is excellent and very comfortable.

Worked Out Well for Next Morn Airport Needs...
Reviewed By GourmasseurThis hotel is completely adequate for a quiet stay so you can grab their free airport shuttle the next morning. We had an ample end unit on the first floor with large king beds with a minimal noise level of passersby. Showered needs replacing and gave a barely adequate spray. Regulator did not work too well. Comfortable stay with an ok breakfast. The staff will say NO to anything you ask them. They offer Terrible customer service with no apologies. The shuttle is great. Will pick you up from the airport and take you there and they provide a schedule! They do not veer from this schedule and this can be a good or bad thing depending on your needs. We stayed here only because of the convenience of the shuttle and hoped for a decent nights sleep and this is exactly what we received. The outside courtyard is very nice but noisy. This is in no way a get away/relaxation staycation place! The rooms are clean and have mini fridge (only freezes) and microwave or may provide upon request. Good/decent coffee.

Room was decent - I rated a 3 due to there being dirty rags left in the bathtub which we discovered the first time we went to take a shower. We told desk at check out they apologized and said they would tell housekeeping but no other benefit was offered.

Due to heavy snow in Yosemite, our plans changed so that we spent nine consecutive days in the San Francisco area. The people at Hotel Focus SFO were very helpful in providing reasonably priced rooms and in providing helpful ideas about things to do in the area.
