10 hotels in Sedona: Best hotel deals for 2023

June 25, 2022 Rosalyn Ihle

Sedona is a true oasis, a vacationer’s paradise in the middle of the Arizona desert. Here, you’ll find resorts and spas, canyons and red rock formations. Bell Rock and Oak Creek Canyon are great hiking spots, and the dramatic architecture of the Chapel of the Holy Cross is a religious experience itself. When the sun dips down below the horizon it introduces the best show in Sedona: the night sky.

No lock on room!

Reviewed By n2022w

Beware - The door to an adjoining room did not have a lock on it! An empty hole where a lock clearly should have been was simply covered by a decorative plate. The plate itself was about to fall off and when we moved it we realized there was no lock and someone from the adjoining room could open their door and simply push our door open! We told maintenance and hours later he returned with a lock, acted as if they didn’t know and no apology was made! The room is in a dire need for an update! The shower is in the bathtub which has a very high lip on it. Someone with balance issues would definitely struggle as we both hit our knees and ankles trying to get in and out. The glass doors that slide back and forth are very heavy and the knobs are about to fall off making them difficult to open and close. There’s no doubt that the surrounding area is stunning; but don’t plan on saying the same about the accommodations!

Excellent Stay

Reviewed By LalonieP

Absolutely loved the location of this hotel! Close enough to hiking, shopping and dining but far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the town! From the moment we arrived and checked in we were greeted by the very kind front desk staff and checked in promptly. She gave us the whole rundown of the Inn and it’s amenities along with our room keys. The room was on the first floor and we were able to park directly in front of our room which was very convenient for unloading our bags. Rooms are a little older with character (there was a giant dream catcher painted on the wall, so cute!) well maintained and clean! The upper floors had shared balconies with beautiful views! There was live music in the lobby nighty and at times a few artisans selling crystals and handmade jewelry. The hotel hosted a stargazing event with Dennis Young, a seasoned astronomer. We were lucky enough to make it to this and it was one of the highlights of our trip! He was extremely knowledgeable and fun to learn from! We had our dogs with us and they enjoyed the Inn as well! They got to go on walks around the property and there was a small trail that led to a giant heart formed out of rocks! Overall we had a very pleasant stay and would recommend this Inn to anyone who has pets, enjoys activities onsite, enjoys beautiful views, the convenience of a shuttle and those who don’t mind a room that is cute, clean, and a little dated.

Sky Ranch Lodge

Sky Ranch Lodge sits on the edge of Airport Mesa, 500 feet above town, peacefully removed from all the hustle and bustle below. Massive red rock views tower in every direction from the hotel and the mesa is ringed by an easy hiking trail that offers eagle-eye views of Sedona's most stunning rock formations. These are the best views in all of Red Rock Country. Sky Ranch Lodge is famous for its richly landscaped grounds, teeming with gardens, shade trees, and ponds - often referred to as an oasis in the sky as well as "Sedona's best kept secret."

Perfect location!

Reviewed By LoveTravel783413

I researched almost every place to stay in Sedona. I found the best! Sky Ranch is a bit away from the crowds, way up on a hill next to the Airport vortex. (The “airport” is basically a landing strip for very small aircraft). We booked a Rim room, so worth it, facing the mountain and a patio to enjoy the view. The lodge is a quiet place, away from any commercial activity, very peaceful and meditative. The room is clean and very well appointed with coffee station, microwave, fridge, etc. Our first discovery : it’s the best place in Sedona to watch the sunset, truly! And a short ways to our first vortex/hike. There is a bar, but no restaurant. No problem, one of the best Sedona restaurants with fabulous views is a 5 minute walk away. They also have a pool, but being early March, we did not try it. The staff was very friendly and service was impeccable. We will definitely return and highly recommend this place if you are looking for something unique and lovely and quiet!

Short Trip to Grand Canyon & Sedona

We are so happy we found this place to stay. It is in the Village of Oak Creek, but was quiet, clean & comfortable, and a much better value for the area. The room was well appointed-refrigerator, microwave coffee maker & iron. There were several restaurants close by-an opening at the back of the property made for easy access to a grocery store & the Red Rock Cafe(delicious). We had a long tour scheduled for one of our days so we bought some juice, fruit and breakfast items to be heated in the microwave. They had a nice pool & hot tub. On the day we checked out, we had some time, so we walked to the Bell Rock Trail, leaving our car in the Inn parking lot. I would recommend doing the trail early in the morning or late in the day though due to the heat while we were there. We would highly recommend this Inn & would definitely return if we go back to the Sedona area.
