You get what you pay for
Reviewed By milliepelloweBeds sheets were clean although the majority of the room was not. Hairs and muck still on the sides in the room and on the floor - during these times is unacceptable, luckily we had our own antibacterial wipes. Shower was clean but leaked all over the floor. There is free parking which is gated off in the hotel so a good sense of security. Breakfast stops at 9am but the very kind lady gave us some croissants.

We welcome our hosts all year long in a recent Provençal house with swimming pool and closed ground of 5000 m2. Our two rooms(chambers) are situated rez of road there, are independent and are equipped with double beds, with cupboards, with chairs and with a table. The shower-room of each is adjacent and privative. Each of her has a terrace and a garden furniture. You have the possibility of taking your on-the-spot meals, on reservation. The small animals are accepted under condition.

Completely renovated in 2014, and recently equipped with a lift, the Hotel de France offers 20 rooms with a cosy and warm atmosphere in the heart of Saint Maximin la Sainte Baume, just a few minutes' walk from the Basilica. All rooms are fully equipped: new bedding, flat screen TV 80cm, telephone with alarm clock, work space, unlimited Wi-Fi and free, smoke detectors, air conditioning. Bathroom mainly equipped with shower, toilet, mirror, hair dryer in some rooms or at reception. For your convenience, all rooms and public areas are non-smoking. Good value for the money , has more potential
Reviewed By philipdeidoloriHotel needs some refreshing , updating , painting. However,it has a nice charm. The restaurant is very very good. Food great, service also great. Rooms are dated, just need to clean up some of the walls marks , stains. Prices are reasonable and most would pay a bit more if it were more modern and cleaned. Internet is poor. Slow and didn’t work in room 320 much if the time. Would come back if these were fixed

A little piece of paradise
Reviewed By CJglobalWhat a very pleasant stay we had. This is the perfect example of a great chambre d’hote at a good price, especially for what you get. We even extended for another night (more wasn’t possible ) to make the most of it . We had 5 great days . During the day you can explore the Provence , everything is within 30-45mins or a bit more for for example gorge du verdon. The pool is perfect and all the amenities made it so lovely to read and relax before dinner . The hosts go above in helping with recommendations for activities , restaurants , wineries, nothing is too much . The room is comfortable and stays cool on hot days . Spacious bathroom and tea coffee and a kettle . The bar has been set so high now , we found ourselves comparing the next b&b to Clos Geraldy and intend to come back again . Almost do not want to write a great review because then it will become more popular ….

Peaceful & relaxing
Reviewed By PETE BWow, this is exactly what we where looking for. On arrival we where greeted by Lydia and Phillipe. The apartments are spotless, and have all the amenities you require. The location is amazing. Quiet and very relaxing. The apartment opens out to the pool, which was great for a nice swim. We will definitely go back again in the future.

Domaine de Conillieres is a family run wine estate nestled in the green heart of Provence, Var district, between Aix en Provence, Nice and the French Riviera. We offer 5 fully equipped holiday apartments - Each of them are self catering and can accommodate from 2 to 6 Guests, depending on the one you choose. Wifi is free, and available in each unit as well as at the pool. Via small roads through the pine forest you’ll arrive at this 250 acre vineyard dating back to the 18th century. The different buildings have been restored by the family, who lives on the property since 1843 . The place is well known for its serenity and authenticity, and its magnificent view on the vines, the olive grove and the Sainte-Baume hills which shelter Mary Magdalene holly grotto. Aix-en-Provence is the nearest big city and can be reached in 35 minutes by car. Saint-Maximin la Sainte Baume, which is a smaller town, is only 10 minutes away from us. Conillieres a great central position to visit Provence
Short stay
Reviewed By Adele QWe stayed in the cute little wagon. It was well fitted out and even had air conditioning. Our accommodation was within a short distance to the car park and swimming pool and totally private overlooking a patch of land. The common areas were well maintained. The host Philipe was amazing. He was very friendly and recommended a very nice restaurant in a village nearby as it was our wedding anniversary. It didn't disappoint. There are two less positive points I have to mention. 1. There is something not quite right with the plumbing. When you flush the toilet the most awful smell comes up through the basin/shower drain. We closed the bathroom door for the first evening and woke up with this horrible smell in the morning. We learnt quickly to leave the bathroom window open and quickly closed the door after flushing the toilet. That worked well. 2. The road leading up to the property needs some attention. It is a gravel road with a good few holes in it.

L'Annexe Plaisance - Good size, clean room but all a little too basic and minimalist
Reviewed By AMC31261We stayed in L'Annexe Plaisance, around the corner from the main Hotel de France. Although the room had clean modern décor and a comfortable bed, it was very bland. No pictures on the wall, no mirror in the bedroom, no proper bedside tables, just wooden stools, very small hanging space in a wall recess with no doors, no drawers for clothes, etc There wasn't anywhere to put anything. It all seemed a bit too minimalist. The Wi-Fi signal wasn't strong enough in the Annexe although it was OK in the main hotel around the corner. Breakfast was served at the Hotel de France around the corner. There was a good selection, however it was busy and things were running out on the buffet and weren't being replaced quickly enough. Only one lady to do everything.

A better version of home
Reviewed By Arielle HA wonderful experience, exceeded all expectations. Visited La Courtesie the week of my sister's wedding and enjoyed a perfect Provencal experience. The owners are absolutely lovely, engaging, accommodating -- always willing to help if we needed anything at all. The premises are beautiful and modern -- with air conditioning, private patios with beautiful deck furniture, updated bathrooms. The B&B rooms are better than my own home! Breakfast in the AM is a must, mainly to enjoy chatting with the owners and enjoy unlimited coffee or tea (in addition to yogurt, fresh fruit, pastries, eggs, cheese/meat platter). There is a beautiful pool on the property, laundry facilities, cute dogs, and parking spaces. Wish I could visit them again soon!!
