Perfect stay
Reviewed By chrisfeil1952This was a great place to stay. Storm, Daniel and Michael provide excellent accommodation I stayed in Room 1 which is very large complete with ensuite facilities. The continental style of breakfast was expansive and delicious. It is close to bars and restaurants with the Ayeron River being nearby. Parking is located nearby. I will definitely stay here again.

Terrific place to stay
Reviewed By CostaJimIt was only a few days visit and should have been longer. Great little guidebook about the hotel and things to do arrived before our vacation. The welcome was so friendly and our room was bigger than expected. Very clean and pretty as well. Served up a great breakfast with lots of homemade food and they had no issue with my lactose intolerance. Thanks guys. Couldn't fault anything and way better than we expected.

A delightful B&B in a charming environment
Reviewed By Jean Joseph RWe stayed four delightful nights in this charming 18th Century inn close to the center of this beautiful medieval village. The room was spacious, well appointed with modern conveniences while keeping the 18th Century decor and character. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Our host was always gracious, attentive and very helpful. The only minor inconvenient is the need to park the car à 5 mn walk away, the narrow medieval streets not allowing car traffic.

Lovely inn and cooking course
Reviewed By mimik4I recently attended a vegan foraging/cooking workshop at Le Cheval Blanc. The inn itself is lovely with very friendly owners Peter and Nathalie. We had an incredible dinner on Friday night and delicious breakfasts the following two mornings. The foraging hike was informative and fun, and the cooking class, led by Nathalie was great, as was the feast. I would recommend Le Cheval Blanc as an inn. a restaurant, and for its cooking classes.

Cadre charmant
Reviewed By CoeurinneNous avons été bien accueillis, les échanges avec le propriétaire étaient intéressants et nous avons apprécié sa disponibilité et ses conseils de séjour. Le cadre est agréable et bien situé à Saint Antonin, ce qui nous a permis, de ce fait, de nous passer de la voiture le temps de notre séjour. Le jardin est verdoyant, sympathique et reposant ; les oiseaux étaient même au RV pour sublimer ce bel endroit un peu hors du temps ! Néanmoins, la chambre était assez petite, la vue donnait sur un mur et il fut impossible d'obtenir de l'obscurité au petit matin du fait de la présence de plusieurs ouvertures sans volets ou rideaux. Et nous avons eu chaud dans la nuit. Quant au petit déjeuner, il fut frugal !

The tent was beautifully furnished and the washing facilities were private and well maintained. The most eco-friendly holiday we have ever had and we look forward to returning.

La Roane is set in an idyllic 20-acre estate, just 3 miles from the mediaeval market town of St Antonin-noble-val. It is peaceful and secluded with wonderful woodland walks to explore, a paradise for nature lovers. Guests are housed in 3 beautiful buildings set around the large oval-shaped pool. Accommodation is in comfortably furnished single and double rooms. The sauna and table tennis table are nearby with a luxury tree house and yurt available.

Reviewed By Exploration703468Felt so at home at La Roane. Nigel and Anna are truly wonderful hosts and so friendly nothing was to much trouble for them. I went on a yoga retreat which was so relaxing. The food was amazing. Enzo was a fantastic chef. Although I’m not vegetarian the food was tasty and the depth of flavours amazing. The grounds and woodland were idyllic and tranquil and made me feel at one with nature. I would highly recommend La Roane to anyone wishing to take a group break.
