A Decent Little Motel... could be improved
Reviewed By TheDocIsOutWhile the images on the website might not show this, this HIE property is a motel with doors opening to outside walkways. This may not be an issue in some climates but when it is blowing cold rain or snow it can make a mess of carrying things to/from the car, and from coming up from pool or hot tub. The breakfast selection was limited, and seating area inadequate. Service was professional, but certainly not overly friendly. With limited options in the Roseburg area (I have stayed at 4 different hotels in the area), and prices on the high side, this property was selected by price. But I will choose to pay more elsewhere on future visits. It's not that it's a bad option, it's just not my favorite in the area.

The hotel staff was more than accommodating when they were told the reason for the stay and that I would be arranging flowers for the service the next day. We left the room clean and it would be hard to tell I had done 3 arrangements and boutonnieres for the pallbearers. They made sure to have an extra garbage can for us . They were great to my 92 yr old mother and made sure she had a ground floor room for herself It was a quiet hotel and didn't have any intoxicated weekend party guest returning from the bars. Rooms were clean, Great staff. Hot breakfast. close to shopping . easy off and on the freeway

Roseburg is a neat town with some neat restaurants all on one street! After a restful night, the hotel is perfectly loacted to hit Grant's Pass the next morning.

Old, well-located hotel
Reviewed By 773valkWe were worried when we pulled in. We saw moss on the roof. Evidence of room remodeling, but when we opened the door to our 3rd floor room, we saw wood floors, new beds, dresser chairs and a generous bathroom. Plus a nice balcony overlooking the river and a well-maintained garden. The current owners appear to be working hard to update the hotel. I wish them well.

Reviewed By Lyle AOur room was clean, quiet, and very comfortable. The staff was very friendly. My only negative experience was not being able to connect my laptop to the internet. The front desk clerk tried to help, called the manager for help, but to no avail. Otherwise, a nice stay.

Quiet in spite of being between two major highways.
Reviewed By Robert NHotel is conveniently located next to an I-5 ramp and close to restaurants. While the highway noise was noticeable, I did not find it to be loud enough to create any problem. The room was comfortable. WiFi worked well. Water is hot and has good pressure. Hot breakfast as a bit disappointing. Dining area is quite small and was over crowded. Staff did have problems keeping the buffet line stocked. The indoor pool was heated and in constant use during the evening. The Spa had shut off and was cold but was restarted by the staff. I didn't wait the hour or so for it to reheat. I would stay here again but only as an inexpensive over-night stop.

Room key didn’t work; no bedspreads on beds, just sheet and thin blanket; mold on shower walls; footprint on ceiling (you can’t make this stuff up); small beds/pillows; thin walls; curtains wouldn’t close so parking lot lights shined in the room all night. Only positive: mini-fridge.

Decent Room, Good Location - But....
Reviewed By julaPDXWe were reluctantly in Roseburg for a wedding and booked a room here. We didn't reserve ahead of time. Disappointed there was no AAA discount. Front desk young woman did not seem to have much customer service skills. She put a mask on when we walked in, but each time we came in and out of the motel (about 3 times we left over the course of probably 3 hours), she was not wearing a mask and had two friends without masks sitting in the lobby across from the front desk. They were loud, saying the F word, talking about UTIs, and grandparents suspected to be swingers. My husband and I are far from prude, but c'mon, this is a place of business and some professionalism is required! The room had no microwave or fridge which seemed odd in the 21st century and paying $141 for one night. And there were no toiletries except soap. It's a good location in such a crappy town, but if you can make sure you have decent front desk staff (which you can't) then you could try staying here.
