Reviewed By Krista KThe location is absolutely great, I had an opportunity to compare it with other residencies and hotels in the area and I have to say that Residence Marina di Santa Giulia is the best choice if you want to stay close to the beautiful Santa Giulia plague. We had a villa with two bedrooms with one suite bathrooms, living room and a spacious sun terrace with a beautiful view to the St Giulia bay and lagoon. The place was absolutely good value for money. The whole village (Maria di Santa Giulia is a big area consisting of several villages and a hotel with different price range) is very beautiful and well maintained. The kitchen is fully equipped, the rooms are clean. The girls at the reception were very nice and friendly, they helped us to arrange a guided tour to the mountains and gave good advice about the hiking trails, small hidden beaches etc. - THANK YOU!! We will definitely choose this place again when visiting Corsica next time.

Reviewed By Y999PSnataliepI had the pleasure of spending a week at Mariosa Hotel and I cannot recommend this stunning place and it’s wonderful team enough. Every inch of the hotel is spotlessly clean and the room has plenty of space. They offer a lavish spread for breakfast, absolutely everything you could possibly want is at your disposal. Most importantly, the staff at Mariosa are incredibly lovely and helpful, they can arrange anything you need and do it with a huge smile. Everyone, from the front desk team to the waiters to the cleaning staff are wonderful. This magical hotel is the perfect place to relax, a great base to explore the beaches and surrounding towns (go to Bonifacio!) and enjoy the notoriously delicious French food and wine. I cannot recommend this place enough, if there were 6 stars I would give it!!

Reviewed By Freedom00155617089Absolutely rubbish service! Reception gave me a key to enter an occupied room and then did not believe when I told them so. Instead of finding me another room, I had to wait until they went to go check the room to believe what I told them. And then faffed around again while the rest of my group were already enjoying their drinks by the pool. The hotel is not fully booked and they can’t just give me another room but rather make me wait. Not even a drink for service recovery. Would not recommend this place!

We stayed in the comfort room which was huge and extremely comfortable! Extraordinary breakfast and dinner! Amazing wine selection! Only 2 things..wifi was bad and bedroom did not have bathtub only shower..

The 'rustic' decorative style is quite fun, but choose a room with a shower rather than a bath. A pebble-lined bath may look novel & attractive, but is far from comfortable! The location is good too, with the marina-side restaurants approx 6-7 minutes walk away & the centre of the historic town around the same again. Would happily return to this return in future. The automated coffee machine at breakfast offers a good choice. But - having tried most of the options - we were unable to find a coffee that was anything better than 'Okay'. Best to stick with the tea, for which there is a fantastic choice.

Reviewed By AxelitaGSome of the rooms are nested in a huge and beautiful well-maintained garden which provides seclusion from the roads around as well as a peaceful setting. Our high ceiling room was spacious and very clean. We slept wonderfully. It was so well insulated from the heat that we didn’t need to turn on the air conditioning in August, which helps the environment. Staff were friendly and helpful. Buffet breakfast offered a fair choice. We arrived towards the end of the service so some items were running low but they offered to prepare more eggs if we wanted. Overall great value for money in that popular area at summer peak season.

Great stay with family
Reviewed By evelynhsu1029We stayed here for a week with two young kids. The family room is spacious. The location is great for us as it’s next to the main road and only 10mins drive to the beach and 2 mins drive to the shops. The kids also enjoyed the swimming pool. We really enjoyed our stay.

Lovely 3 star, but not in town centre
Reviewed By julietheoracleIf you don’t mind being a little bit away from the centre of town, this hotel is a good option. It appears to be newly renovated and is bright and clean throughout. The young lady at the Reception desk was charming and helpful. We had a very pleasant room with our own terrace. It was quite spacious, comfortably furnished and equipped with a safe, a fridge and tea making facilities. The bed was comfortable and the sheets crisp and fresh. The bathroom was well designed, spacious and very clean. Despite the large number of guests staying, the room was very quiet. Breakfast was the usual continental fare, but adequate. The coffee was good. Wifi was a little erratic, but mostly was fast and worked well. We did not eat our evening meal here, preferring to drive five minutes (20 minute walk) into town to dine at one of the many restaurants. Overall, excellent value for money.

Exceptional stay at the Bungalows!
Reviewed By Catherine TBefore embarking on the Mare a Mare Sud trail across southern Corsica, my husband and I stayed at the charming Bungalows du Maquis. What a pleasant surprise was in store for us! The room was quiet, clean, and spacious with a comfortable bed, making for a restful night. The hotel itself is located way up on a hill (a mountain really) overlooking the town of Porto Vecchio out to the sea. All sides are surrounded by the fragrant maquis and you can enjoy this atmosphere from their lovely little pool. Although we didn't have time to take a dip in the pool, we did opt for demi-pension, affording us a lovely dinner in their restaurant. I am a pescatarian and they prepared a whole fish as the main course which was one of the most delectable meals on our entire trip. Overall, this is a great place to stay if you want a tranquil atmosphere, a great view, and excellent food and service! Thank you Bungalow du Maquis!!!
