10 hotels in Phoenix: Best hotel deals for 2023

June 25, 2022 Concepcion Newsome

Nearly perfect year-round weather and several impeccably designed championship courses have made Phoenix one of the top golf destinations in the world. But there's more to this mild-mannered metropolis than pristine greens and tee times. The greater Phoenix area also offers visitors an array of impressive cultural attractions. Visit the internationally renowned Heard Museum for an in-depth look at Native American history or peruse the fine collection at the Phoenix Museum of Art. Enjoy a ballet performance at the ornate Orpheum Theater or or catch a concert at the state-of-the-art Comerica Theatre. In addition to golf, the city offers access to numerous outdoor endeavors including rock climbing, hot-air ballooning, desert jeep tours and more. Family-friendly attractions, first-rate shopping, dining and entertainment, and spectacular recreational activities make Phoenix a must-visit destination.

Stellar Stay!

Clean, comfy, quiet rooms. My kids loved the pool and hot tub (both which were always clean) and I appreciated the towels provided on the pook deck. The popcorn machine in the front lobby was a nice touch. In addition to a robust complimentary hot breakfast, we also enjoyed a complimentary dinner (staff described it as snacks/appetizers, but you could easily make a meal out of salad, meat sandwiches, baked potatoes, beans) and 3 beverages per adult. It was not too terribly far from the airport and the staff was super friendly, even letting us give them our recyclables. The hotel was immaculately clean; I even watched a cleaning staff member wipe down the elevator before I got on.

Wish we had more time

We flew into Phoenix late at night but we knew this is where we wanted to stay from past experiences at Drury Inn. By the time we landed and picked up our rental car we didn't arrive until almost midnight. The night clerk looked like he might have been asleep when we arrived. Other than that, check in was quick. Our room was good size with a small refrigerator and a balcony. The bed was comfortable and it was quiet. The water pressure and temperature was good in the morning. There were many tasty choices for breakfast in the morning and the front desk clerk was very friendly when we checked out. I am sorry we did not get a chance to take part in the 5:30 kick off! I would stay here again.

Great location,

I'm a Hyatt globalist, so not the top of the food chain. The room was decent, hotel location is actually quite good. Breakfast was average compared to other hotel chain loyalty offerings. The hotel bar was pretty good. Rooftop revolving restaurant was hugely overpriced for such a dated novelty. Overall, i was not disappointed. Wasn't thrilled either.

Perfect Getaway in Downtown Phoenix

Reviewed By ERV_Editor

Great experience at this Kimpton Boutique hotel in downtown Phoenix. We stayed in a King 1 Bedroom Suite (City View), and it had all the usual Kimpton extras like robes, nice bath amenities, and a huge walk-in shower. The deep soaking tub in this room was fantastic. Went down to level 2 for their complimentary wine hour between 5 - 6 PM, and again for coffee in the morning. In the evening, it's easy to find a restaurant or pub within a 5 minute walk as this hotel is surrounded by eateries, as well as a huge Fry's grocery store 1 block away. The star of this property no doubt is their 6th floor terrace with pool and lounge/bar. It was 40C (104F) they day we were there, and it was a great spot to keep cool and sip a cocktail. Unfortunately, we had some outside noise issues with all the construction going on (parts of downtown Phoenix right now are completely ripped up), but the staff at the hotel, particularly Ben the front desk agent, were totally accommodating and made sure they did everything they could to make our stay memorable. Highly recommend this Kimpton hotel!

Characterful Resort

Reviewed By MyrtleWiltshire

Beautiful grounds with the rooms scattered around charming little courtyards, sitting areas and lawns. Our casita had a small patio at the back surrounded by a high wall, and a more open one at the front under bougainvillea. While the room had all we needed (including a pod coffee machine) it was very dark, even in the bright sunshine of day and the electric lights were entirely inadequate, they need better lighting in there! Dinner and breakfast at the restaurant were excellent. We enjoyed a guided tour of the characterful main building with its beautiful furnishings and decor.
