Reviewed By florencem459I stayed 4 nights at this hotel September 2021. the purpose was vacation and a wedding. my cousins were meeting me there too. first, I was told I could get a pick-up from Nice Airport, but when I arrived, no pick-up because the driver is also the night front desk person. ok. then the next morning, I was awaken by drilling and banging at 8 AM by workers working 3 doors down my room. when I went downstairs asking the manager how come, the answer was " we did not know you were sleeping, we thought you were at work". ok. so the next morning, the workers were held up til I went downstairs for breakfast. the manager then asks me" when are you going to leave because the workers need to work ? " ok, am on vacation, I have jet lag, and I have to hurry out for workers? so I asked to change room, since I had checked on other websites that there were room available still. she made a face, then changed me to a 1st floor room with the view ...on the parking, right there. when I checked out, I had to pay for every services of course. no free breakfast or else for the annoyance. the rooms I stayed had the view on the parking. there is old linoleum on floor, bathrooms are old fixtures, you hear next door. the pool is right next to the road. the only nice thing is the breakfast, which is ultra complete, a whole meal to choose from.

Reviewed By vetkazdGood location for exploring the Nice area. Good local shops and restaurants. Mougins old village is unique and so lovely. There is some construction work in the town but it didn’t affect us. Everyone is friendly. Resort staff are great. We feel safe and looked after. The units are comfy and well fitted out. The gym is very poor. The pool is small. The units don’t have washing machines but the laundry is ok. You need a car here and the area is quite hilly. We have been here 7 times and will certainly be back.

They went the extra mile to comfort us, so we decided to stay 4 nights longer. Dear Hôtel de Mougins, if you are reading this: thank these two lovely people and give them a raise. Traveling by car can be a bit of a hassle when you stay in Cannes because the minority (if none) of the hotels can keep an eye on your car, so we decided to look a bit on the inland side. We are thrilled how calm and tasteful this little hotel is. Normally hotels in that price range still tend to attract people who are loud at the pool and treat it like a ibis budget hotel, but here everything is really, really calm and has and respectful air to it. Reviewed By Roberto Jif you really just want a place to crash thats ok, but thr hotel is practically on top of thr highway and there is a lot of noise, but the crazy part is that it's 100% automatic - all with codes and automatic doors. you dont speak or see anyone. you dont choose your room and there's nodody to answers questions .

Reviewed By Filipe MArriving at the hotel, the exterior reminds of an out of control jungle, poor luggage access. As for the rooms, they are XXXXXSmall, without sound isolation. It's as if the room were ON the road. The doors are very fragile and I felt unsafe in the room. While taking a shower, the whole bathroom got FLOODED because there was no shower curtain. Breakfast: EXPENSIVE, when we got there (IN TIME) there wasn't anything to eat, nor an employee to restock. The manager, Angelo, is EXTREMELY RUDE and finds excuses for everything. TO FINISH, IT WAS A NIGHTMARE AND I DON'T RECOMMEND

Overnight in Cannes
Reviewed By elihudavidWe are a family of four with two boys aged 8 and 10. We spent the day driving through Monaco and walking around Nice and got to Villa Stephanie at 6 pm. Olivier met us at the gate and he even helped me park my car in teh garage. A nice touch and glad to have the car garaged. He showed us the place and gave us recommendations for dinner. You must try La Mediterranee in Mougins. Also, just go to Mougins, so beautiful to walk around. Many options to eat, on the pricey side. We loved swimming in the pool and the views over Cannes were amazing. We slept in one room, it is a B & B, and it was roomy with each boy getting his own bed. The bathroom was beautiful and my kids loved the rainforest shower. Breakfast the next day was excellent, with fresh fruit, juices, breads, homemade yogurt and granola, pastries and a cake. Also, eggs made to order if desired. It was a perfect stay after a long day of driving and walking around. We were refreshed to walk around Cannes and St Tropez the following day. Thank you Olivier.

The Hotel VILLA SOPHIA has welcomed guests since January 2018 in a warm and elegant setting. The hotel is ideally located, only 2 km away from Sophia Antipolis, and 6 km away from Cannes and its beaches. The hotel’s location will allow you to find out more about what makes the French Riviera so charming. The hotel has been built around a swimming pool, surrounded by an amazing green garden. It has a cosy Bar/saloon, a huge living area with a veranda for your relaxing moments. The breakfast is served in the same space, as well as a food offering for lunch and diner. Musical Atmosphere with apianist some nights. The rooms are air conditioned, spacious and contemporary. Most of them are on garden level, with a view on the swimming pool. Our ground floor rooms have direct access outside and some have private gardens as well. In every single one of them our guest will have a mini fridge, a safe, and courtesy tray. Hotel Villa Sophia has also a large private parking and free Wifi.

In the evening you may have a simple meal without going out (this worked even during Covid-19 restriction, where food was brought to your room - excellent!). Only the internet connection should be faster...

Reviewed By thesupr+ Very large space in the room (superior) + Comfortable bed + Good toiletries + Pool available for the 5 rooms in the vicinity (although was not sure at one point if some guests were lost and ended up there) + Patio available + Restaurant with a good view + Very good spa offering + Air conditioner working well + WiFi fast + Safe, kitchen area, living room area available + Tasty food at restaurant - Shower area not draining well; puddle remains - Shower could be cleaned with baking soda to remove stains or tiles should be replaced - Missing shower cap - Hand gel got detached from the wall; adhesive used not strong enough to withstand weight and time - Although they indicated that safety of their guests is their priority, management and staff tended not to wear masks in enclosed areas where there were explicit signs that masks are obligatory. Sometimes, they pretend to wear masks. Noses were still showing :-) One time, a receptionist joined me in the small, enclosed breakfast buffet area. I commented that she didn't have a mask. She casually replied that she has one in the reception...

Reviewed By bimbi66The location is beautiful, on the top of a hill, surrounded by nice parks and gardens. The structure is good, a fascinating building with few rooms, a nice pool, nice terraces. The owners are really friendly, the atmosphere so relaxed. It could be great suggestion for relaxing weekends in the area. Unfortunately our room was really not comfortable: a bit more attention in ordinary maintenance activities (painting..), a better bed, a better cleaning service would be needed. And a more qualified staff: all friendly but not really professionals.
