I'm looking at some of the better reviews for this time period and the ones that gave good reviews must have been made up. I was there and I never met anyone friendly who worked there. The room we had was dated and smelled of mildew. The outdoor porch in front of the rooms was in disrepair with no lighting which made it a hazard to walk at night. The landscaping was all overgrown and looked terrible. The entire place is in complete disrepair and needs complete remodeling. Maybe even new ownership.

We loved all the attention to detail. The breakfast was exceptional. My partner was very impressed with the hotel. It’s big contrast to the large chain hotels run by bean counters. Despite the reasonable price, they don’t skimp. I will return.

Lovely property, comfortable, spacious rooms, great breakfast & friendly staff!

I booked 1 night at The Country Inn at Camden/Rockport, Maine, at the last minute as my plans changed. I had hoped to stay by the water, but there was nothing available in my price range. We were not at all disappointed, however, because The Country Inn is very, very special! The property and grounds are beautiful and our room was large, spacious and comfortable. (We selected a room with a fireplace which was a really nice touch!) We had a refrigerator/freezer, table and padded chairs and a small kitchenette area. We even had a balcony to relax on after checking in. The morning breakfast is outstanding with a variety of hot & cold selections and coffee/tea is available throughout the day & into the evening. They have a great selection of adult beverages and locally-made products to purchase on site and the innkeepers were very friendly and helpful. Will was especially helpful in recommending places to see allowing us to maximize our brief visit in the area. We will definitely return to this property when we are back in the area. We also took advantage of the large indoor pool and whirlpool on the premises. They also have an exercise room and elevator access.

Pretty view on the water

Reviewed By adrianabT153ZI

It was a lovely stay, we had a very pretty view on the river. We enjoyed the fact that had blockout curtains, so we slept like babies all day long. Situated in the middle of the small town, we had restaurants close, even a park where we walked each day. The only downside was the sound of a pipe from the heater, we had to listen to that all night long. The second night we didn’t use the heating stove anymore. We’ll definitely come back, but maybe in the summer :). A, another thing, not too many blankets, just a very thin cover
