Clean but a bit lacking in character
Reviewed By NorthumberlandAlfWe ended up here as our booked accommodation couldn’t take us. The hotel has a beautiful garden and rooms are immaculately clean but a bit spartan as is the breakfast. Host was helpful giving us a shuttle to town to eat. If you are arriving by bicycle it is a long way up the hill out of the town.

Lutai winery . B&B is located right on top of the hill where Taitung hot air balloon festival is held. We are surrounded by a huge grassfield where your kids can run, fly kites, play balls, go picnic... This is the best holiday accommodation for families and friends.

Reviewed By serog5I visited this place Luye (鹿野高台) about 7yrs ago and it has left a great impression with me and I said I will want to come back and stay here for a few nights. In my latest family trip, I make sure the itinerary covers this area and choose to stay here for 2 nights. I booked my accommodations directly with them and their responses were fast and prompt. I communicated with them in Mandarin but I believed they won’t have any issues to reply you in English. On arrival, the check in were easy and they make sure that we are well settled in before they left us to ourselves. The rooms on Tripadvisor are exactly what it is shown. Simple, but classic and elegant. That is why I didn’t bothered to take any pics to show. The room My family stayed in was really cleaned and tidy. We stay on the 2nd floor in Room 2. During our stay here, the servers will always be willing to serve and help us and strike a conversation with us. We brought in our own food (for dinner), they actually encouraged us to use their utensils and even help us to clean them. The view in this place is heavenly. On good weather you should be able to see galaxies of stars but unfortunately for us, the weather were not in our favour. If you really want to see the stars I believed coming here during spring or summer would be the best. Few things to note when you are staying here. 1) Most loose items like cutleries and toiletries are provided but are stored in a common area. 2) bottled water are provided but they also have water dispenser in the common area 3) coffee and tea is free the whole duration of your stay with them in their cafe. And I am not referring to just instant coffee and tea. But like cappuccino, latte add etc. 4) breakfast were included. But instead of the usual buffet line it was family style with local Asian cuisine thou toasts are available too. 5) heated water for showers are limited in the day. 6am-8am and 6pm to 12midnight. 6) Servers are staying in the building on level 3, so if you need any emergency assistance they will be there too. My conclusion and recommendation is that if you are coming to this part of Taiwan, please make sure you come and stay in this B&B, it is definitely worth it to stay here! I will definitely be back again!

Warm, welcoming hosts offering calligraphy classes, amazing home cooked meals (Amy is famous for her creative baked breads), and really great suggestions of local places to check out including hot springs! Their animals are all friendly and charming and the garden is absolutely gorgeous. I can't wait to come back and spend more time here. Recommended for all types of travel.

Nice resort with private hot spring in your room
Reviewed By DavidASUWe stayed here because we would like to go to Luye Highland to try the hot balloons or other flying activities. The room is huge with its own hot spring tub with very reasonable price. Not many guests check Ed in, so it’s very comfortable to relax and enjoy our stay!

Reviewed By FlyheadThe hotel wasn’t bad, and rooms are acceptable clean. We slept well, just lots of mosquitoes... The pool downstairs has no lifeguard. After pool cooling time some drunk Person drowned in the pool so the emergency had to give CPR and take him away. Breakfast is typical Chinese style, so as westerners you may take what you get. However serials and some toast with jam is provided. Hotel has no room-service and there is no convenient store next by.

Reviewed By CatherineC3876此飯店房間寬敞，也有許多設施，當初設計及建設的想法很好，但是缺乏人力維護設施及環境，許多戶外椅不是已經損壞就是無人維護乾淨，很可惜。已入住價格來看，晚餐很普通，但是早餐算精緻，如果飯店有好好的維護環境的話，並加強餐飲，相信會是一個不錯的度假飯店。

Lovely place, just make sure you have your own transport!
Reviewed By LynseyCWe stayed 2 nights and enjoyed ourselves but it’s not in a very convenient location if you don’t have your own transport. We are travelling Taiwan by train with our two young boys (4&7) so struggled a bit. It’s fine if you just want to chill out but there’s not many restaurants or eating places nearby. We made use of the pool (not heated), footballs, bikes, fishing and croquet. The staff were lovely and very attentive with some English. Not sure out of balloon season who uses the place as we were the only guests and it’s a big complex. The room (on the water) was fine but the curtains are light and it’s noisy with the frogs. Lovely setting between the mountains
