Reviewed By gramer999You know as soon as you arrive that Hotel de La Jamagne is going to deliver on its promises. Professional and friendly staff where nothing is too much trouble. Our room was large, clean, perfectly decorated, with all sanitary fittings in perfect working order. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were properly cleaned every day. Breakfasts offered both hot and cold choices. I would not hesitate to recommend Hotel de La Jamagne to anybody when staying in the region.

The hotel is very quaint, set in a historical building. The rooms are very comfortable and full of amenities. Very good service overall. Highly recommended!

Reviewed By MrsFSeyAlthough the room was not large and a little dated, it was well maintained, clean and comfortable, with plenty of hot water. We appreciated having an opening window. The members of staff were very helpful and polite. The grounds were well maintained and attractive. There are lots of places to eat nearby. Our only problem was finding the hotel - we entered the address into our Sat Nav but it took us all around the complex without finding the hotel. It is easy when you see it. Maybe a map with the hotel’s location would be useful on booking.

Reviewed By VincentM978This boutique hotel is in a quiet location in central Nancy. Our room onto the courtyard was comfortable, spacious & quiet. Emmanuele et al were warm & welcoming. Breakfast was substantial with quality local produce. Good restaurants & cafes nearby. The only negatives- wifi could do with an upgrade & toiletries spartan.

Reviewed By buckdenbursarMost perfect hotel for our stay. Brilliantly located a short walk to Place Stanislas. Close to the station, though we arrived by car. Was nervous that as there is no drop-off or hotel parking it would be tricky. Parking in the road to checkin and unload very easy and a 200m drive to the multi-storey car park. Early reviews painted a grim picture of this car park, but I found it clean and tidy and well used. The hotel has been extensively renovated and it shows (street view shows it surrounded by scaffolding). Rooms are modest but very well equipped with air conditioned, great shower etc. The internet is the best I’ve come across giving 100Gbyte service. The breakfast buffet is in the hotel (Not round the back as earlier reviews mention) and is extensive and well prepared. There is a roof terrace which has a bar service in the evenings. The staff were attentive and helpful.Excellent!

The bathroom is enormous with the biggest bath I have ever seen. The staff are always on hand and very helpful. The Restaurant and Spa were closed due to Covid. You will not regret booking a stay here.

Reviewed By gramer999From the outside, Hotel Cosmos in Contrexéville looks like Stalag 13. On the inside, it's a bit like one of the grand old hotels of Eastern Europe during the Soviet era. It has the feel of a tired old lady who needs some considerable makeup! The first view a visitor has of it is a massive dull, grey, concrete block. A coat of paint wouldn't go astray! Inside, the carpets in the public areas - stairs and (very long) corridors - are badly stained and need replacing. In the room, we suffered from clanking water pipes all night. There wasn't even a headboard on the bed - someone had just pained a black rectangle on the wall. The fitted sheet didn't fit. The pillows were tiny and lumpy. Not very inspirational. The restaurant was clean and more modern, but the serving staff were indifferent. Not unpleasant - just disinterested like they couldn't wait to go home. The food was okay, and that's about the best I can say!

Reviewed By gramer999Hotel Campanile Nancy Station is in a reasonable location as long as you don't need to get to your car often - the nearest parking is about 400m away. The staff were pleasant enough but fairly indifferent to anything out of the ordinary. The room was cleaned once in three days. No tea/coffee-making facilities. Very short of hanging space for clothes.
