We had booked breakfast early as we were walking early no problem and a very good breakfast. ideal position no worries recommend.

My room 107 had a semi-bathtub, good for Camino hikers, but WiFi was a bit spotty. Close to the old town & the beach. No breakfast served but there are plenty of options around.

Reviewed By TrekandmoreGood rooms and helpful staff. Breakfast was mediocre — no cheese, no eggs. The dining area where they put us was dark — a bar. The reception area too was very dark. They did offer coffee early as I requested.

Our room was at the end of the hotel corridor with windows that offer a beautiful view of the beach / ocean of Laredo. The room is utilitarian but clean and served it's purpose. The menu del dia offered downstairs wad a good value. A 15 minute walk down a clear path and then staircase leading into Laredo proper. Also, it was completely booked on the day we were there. They were turning people away.

Nicely located for beach and ferry port
Reviewed By EddybotilProject: Motorcycle Trips for Mortals. The was the last hotel stop on my tour of Spain. It is perfectly adequate, as there's covered parking for a motorcycle. It's not far from Larado beach and either, Santander or Bilbao ferry terminals. It's also useful for using as a base if you're touring the region and coastline here. Burgos is up through the steep hillsides and the Picos open up as you head west. Good for an overnight stop or maybe two.

Reviewed By Enjoy33Stayed 2 nts as nowhere else to stay here. Lady on reception was very helpful on arrival. Very thin walls, can hear people talking and tv. Basic but clean rooms in need of updating, but that goes for the hotel generally. Having travelled around Spain for a few wks this is quite in need f tlc. Evening meal we chose steak.......bad decision. More waste than what was edible. The lovely waitress was more than happy to fill our flask with hot water. On checkout we disputed our bill as when we checked in were quoted a price, however on checkout it was quite abit more than we expected. We paid the higher bill but noticed the reason was that we had been quoted a price per nt WITHOUT tax........which we felt was very poor and sneaky! Would recommend missing Laredo and this hotel.

Colourful Guesthouse in Quiet Location - with POOL
Reviewed By LindaHerefordshireThis is a beautiful guest house in a lovely location. It has very easy access to the autoroute and yet one cannot see or hear it. Set on a hill above the seaside resort of Lerado between Santander and Bilbao it offered a very pleasant overnight stop on a long journey between Vigo in Spain and the Dordogne in France. The property was very pretty, well appointed and well maintained with excellent private parking. We had a little difficulty in locating it initially due to a lack of signage on the local road. We arrived later than expected due to driving conditions en route but we were able to phone to alert the owners to this fact. We were given a pleasant welcome despite the hour on our arrival. We were given a helpful information sheet in English concerning our stay and a map of Lerado. We were able to buy drinks at the property but there was no meal available. We decided not to drive the short distance to the town for a meal as we were very tired but we could see that have we wanted to do so we would have found lots of choice of restaurants. The room we had was very spacious and attractive with a four poster bed and a well appointed bathroom with a jacuzzi bath tub. It had lovely views from windows on two sides, including a view over the property's large swimming pool and courtyard with tables and chairs. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was buffet style with self serve hot drinks machine and toaster. There was plenty of choice of food and drinks in the spacious dining room. Breakfast offered very good value as an extra to the room price. We didn't have time to make use of the pool, which opened at 11am, as we needed to get on with our journey but it is a great addition to this lovely guest house.

The worst customer service on our Camino trip so far
Reviewed By Julie BI had booked this Accomodation on booking.com, there was no mention of the limited hours the reception desk was manned. After a very wet day we arrived at the apartment to be told we could not check in until 4pm, even though we had asked to change our wet clothes. The receptionist arrived late at 4.15, and when I asked later for a hairdryer (not an unreasonable request) I was told there wasn't one, and what did I expect for €55? We wanted to pay in the evening as we wanted to leave early the next morning. It was only when we looked over from the adjoining bar around 8.30 we realized she had gone home. The bar owner rang her, she then argued we would have to stay until 9am to pay when she would arrive. We finally agreed to leave money in the bar. A very poor level of service and poor attitude.

The elevators make a lot of noise when they start and when they stop The personnel is very friendly, the view from the second floor or higher is amazing and the roof swimming pool a real asset
