Amazing overnight stay

We chose this because of the location and it did not disappoint. The Boathouse seaside restaurant was also awesome: Gage, and the team at night (sorry forgot the names) May 14th, 2020 are amazing. Gage was alone and handled everything well. The night team was slammed with lots of guests but got everyone happy. Food was filling and delicious. They were so apologetic on delayed food service and wanted to comp it. We said NO! We understood the wait and we're very thankful for their service. We chose a beachfront room, worth the extra $$$. Had the fireplace going. Beautiful views.

Vacation in South Lake Tahoe

I was unsure when I picked this hotel to stay as reviews were mixed. I had 2 hotels choosen and decided to stay here. We arrived a little early and the staff got us into our room. That was great. Very appreciative. Location was close to eatting shopping and the lake view room was great. 2 vanities a plus. Bed was comfy. mini fridge was lg. Room was clean and neat. Saw the staff on a daily basis keeping the patio and surrounding areas cleaned. Huge closet area. All the staff we interacted with were polite. We didn't notice any real outside noise from the road. The one thing I would say is the hotel could use fresh paint and updated carpet. Other then that we enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

Beautiful Nature Views of the Mountains & Trees / Could use some TLC in customer service improvements

Check in wasn't very smooth. There was an issue with my reservation dates and seemed to be too much for the check in staff to handle. Had to return later to involve a manager to resolve. I was told I could return as often as I'd like to obtain the small bottles of water, however on one particular day again seemed like it was too much for the front desk staff to handle like it was a bother for them. Had inquired with concierge about the schedule of activities that were on a calendar of events at the resort that was provided to us upon check in because it would indicate times but not locations, however the concierge wasn't even aware of the schedule so had no idea of the activities or their locations so we never did find Bingo. Was always wondering if the other things were going on. Upon check out there was an issue with my bill as far as inappropriate/inaccurate charges, however again was too much for the front desk to handle and they requested that I email and or call back later to discuss to resolve. I have since emailed and am still awaiting resolution. Highly recommend some serious training in customer service for front desk personnel and or have a manager on site out front that knows what they are doing to assist with these issues. We were only there for 3-nights/4-days and although it did rain the first day we still enjoyed as much as we could of all of the resort's and local area amenities going to the pool/jacuzzi, going hiking and biking, eating at all of the restaurants on site, and most importantly the best experience spending an afternoon at the spa. Was disappointed that the the pool side bar and restaurants were not open very often or very long. Was disappointed that the coffee shop was closed down for renovations. Was disappointed at the very high prices of the the restaurants at the resort. I understand the pool was supposed to be heated but it obviously was not. It was freezing cold. Spent most time in jacuzzi as did everyone else. Understand the water slide was supposed to be open certain hours of the day but was not and was later told could ask someone to open it up if we wanted to use it. It also appeared that there was a serious challenge with lack of staffing. For example we made a reservation at Six Peaks as we were directed to do saying they were booked so had to squeeze us in late, however when we arrived there that evening we appeared to be the only ones in the main dining area. The bartender was the hostess and the waitress.

After a really bad experience at the Edgewood, we moved over to the Landing. This is a delightful property. The rooms are quiet and comfortable. The entire staff is friendly and go out of their way to be helpful. Access to the private beach is especially convenient. We have eaten several meals at the restaurant Jimmy's which is here on property. Friendly efficient staff and great food.

Stayed here for a couple nights in the bunkhouse cabin. Though the place was clean, the bunkhouse was tight space for three adults. There was a queen bed and a bunk bed right next to it. Barely had any room to navigate or place luggage. Felt very confining! Otherwise the bathroom shower had great water pressure and was nice to have a small kitchenette but for us, it was very cramped and didn’t feel very comfortable due to the size. Probably better for a couple with one kid but that’s it. Location was good though.

No soap. No washcloths. No heat. No coffee. After two requests we still didny receive the basic supplies. No housekeeping or service. Dining was estimated at a 45-minute wait with more than half of the tables empty. On hold for 20 minutes waiting to make a request for service which never happened. Will never stay at another Hard Rock again. The stories from all the other guests were just as horrible. We will all leave our comments and experience on social media.

Stayed 3 nights. Did pay for an upgraded room in the Tahoe Tower. 6th floor, faced the parking garage with a partial lake view (bonus!). The room was great (the pillows are very thin so you may want to bring your own (personal preference). The bathrooms in the new rooms are one of the nicest of any hotel I’ve stayed in. Rooms are quiet, clean, and the AC works well. No turn down service. Would recommend breakfast in the river cafe (Mexican tacos). The poker room at Harvey’s was a lot of fun. Friendly staff/players. Comfortable. Tahoe is a beautiful place. Would definitely stay at Harvey’s again. My only complaint is self parking is $20 per day. However, if you come and go frequently it really adds up. For example, over 4 hours is $20, so if come and go a lot you can pay that fee multiple times in one day which I feel is excessive
