I would highly recommend it if staying in la Flèche. The restaurants around the hotel are walking distance and varied cuisines and prices.

Reviewed By Mint433Went to a wedding but hotel caught fire prior to arrive got this one hotel in La Fleche. Rooms very small but comfortable. The town is very beutiful and quiet. It is south of Le Mans so and Ideal stop for an overnight stay. They have a Buffalo Grill and McDonalds opposite hotel.

A Quiet and Charming Hotel
Reviewed By susan cStaying in this hotel early in the 2000's and not recalling the name, we searched a number of hotels found on the car's GPS before pulling up to the beautiful gated entry of the Cicero. We found it! Planning to visit two faienceries in Malicorne-sur-Sarthe the following day, we wanted to stay in nearby La Flèche. The hotel was still just as quiet and charming. The room was clean and cozy, nothing fancy, and the bathroom still had a large, deep bathtub that we all love in France! Petite dejeuner was available the next morning and was bigger than the usual Continental breakfast having a wide variety of breads, cereal, juices, meats, cheeses along with coffee or tea. The breakfast was served in a charming room with heavy, old beams on the ceiling and a beautiful fireplace. The feel of the room was actually more reminiscent of an old English Inn's dining room. It was wonderfully enjoyable. Be sure to stop in nearby in the shops of Malicorne-sur-Sarthe's famous makers of French earthenware, the Faiencerie d'Art de Malicorne and Bourg-Joly Malicorne! Both are recognized by the French Government as producing faience in the old, traditional methods! The faience museum in Malicorne is also worth a visit!

Rooms really clean and bright showers with plenty of hot water.Breakfast was good couldn't ask for more,great shame they don't do evening meals. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Very convenient with a lovely walk along the river only across the road. Look forward to visiting again next year.

Reviewed By tonyinbrightonWe first stayed here five years ago shortly after it had opened following a lengthy refurbishment. The condition of the building remains remarkable, and the quality of bed linens and towels etc. is absolutely first class. This remains a sound choice for visitors to La Fleche, and the only minor detractions we found were the lack of international TV channels and the breakfast. The first day there was no coffee to hand so we were given a fresh pot, but only enough for one cup each: that's not a good start to the day. Generally the quality of the meats and cheeses etc. is good but the quantity is just a bit sparse. Overall we enjoyed our stay and will certainly stay again as we visit this area every year.

Reviewed By JHG02458The room was charming--one of the nicest places we stayed. A back door led to a garden. The inn is on a farm--beautiful and charming. We had a kitchenette but did not need it--the breakfast was substantial and delicious. (Best gluten free bread I had the whole trip.) My husband was tracking down an ancestor who had left Avranches in the 1600s. The host very kindly shared some books on local history. Really a lovely place.

Classy d’Hôtes accommodation and table d’Hôtes dining

The owners live in the main house and in their back garden they have a purpose-built accommodation block with four en-suite rooms that surround a central dining area that then opens out onto the pool and patio area. There is a kitchen area and an entrance lobby. All areas we saw were beautifully decorated, well maintained and spotlessly clean. The furnishings were comfortable and it was wonderfully cool despite some really warm weather. Our room featured a double bed, bedside cabinets, a small table, a pouffe, a good-sized wardrobe, a WC and a separate bathroom with a more than adequate shower. There was a TV which we didn’t use and extra pillows and blankets, plus a hairdryer. Rather pleasant free soaps and shampoo were provided. Cold water was put in our room on both nights. We slept well – the bed was comfortable and the room was cool overnight. On the second night we decided to stay in for dinner. It was home cooked and very tasty, plenty of food in this 4-course meal with wine for 25€ each. For us we would have liked to be nearer the town of La Flèche – we did walk there and back one evening 25 minutes each way, because we like to share a bottle of wine and you can’t do that and then drive. The owner’s whole family were really pleasant and we were pleased with everything including the private parking. This was another great accommodation experience – the second in a row following on from the hotel in Château-Gontier.

Foodwise, best to go to nearby truck driver restaurant, in Clermont Creans, where you will eat excellent french food for half the cost

Beautiful setting restful stay
Reviewed By CuriousfishThis place is a real petit bijou surrounded by beautiful fields. We were welcomed warmly despite our arrival in the late evening. The room was spacious and cosy. It's very quiet in the night and we had a good deep sleep. In the morning, a big breakfast waited for us and we had it with pleasure. The owner is a friendly and professional person and we appreciated her company during the breakfast. Our 2years old son was happy finding horses and ducks in the garden. It meant to be just a stop-by on the way to Noirmoutier but we had a real restful stay here. Thank you.

In a warm atmosphere, the house combines objects of various origins that give it a charm that we will let you judge. You will catch benefit of our spacious and comfortable rooms where you can, when summer come, rest after swimming pool time. These one is located at the bottom of our green garden. Our " Table d'hotes ": Martha, restaurant chief, will concoct your home-made dishes. In order to satisfy you, we can adapt to all medical diets and other allergies. Upon reservation the rental of the closed garage is possible.

Martha and Cyrille are just a wonderful couple who could not do enough to help. I hope that we will see them again soon. Highly recommend this as the place to stay in La Flèche
