Our hotel in Huelva (Spain) is set in an area with excellent communications, with direct access from the motorway and 15 minutes from the beach. The hotel has 165 spacious rooms with wooden floors.There are also special rooms for women executives, free WiFi, parking facilities and all the necessary services to ensure a pleasant stay.Hotel Monte Conquero is located in the very historical and commercial Heart of Huelva, close to the Convention and Exhibition Centre called "Casa Colon" where an array of acts and events of all kinds are held.Nearby there is an abundance of shops situated in various pedestrianised streets. A few metres away from the hotel are the city's principal monuments: the Merced Cathedral, the Ermita de la Soledad and the Reina Victoria district, among others.
Avoid their carpark
Reviewed By cosymeWe stayed over night at the Senator driving to Portugal. We have a Dacia Stepway which is a small car and we good drivers. I must say I found their carpark to be challenging, it was dark, steep, narrow with a low ceiling. If I ever stay at this hotel again, I would use the multi storey carpark on the same side as the hotel, but 80 metres before the hotel. The public parking was 16€, only 1 € more than the hotel, for 24 hours and access looked very good, light and wide. I would like to mention Raul the receptionist who helped me get my car out of the exist of carpark, without his cool head and clear directions I would be blocking the exist now.

Reviewed By EvaStockholmThe hotel is located in a recidential area of Huelva. There is a Carrefour supermarket about five minuters drive from the hotel. We had a nice, clearing room of good size on the top floor. Breakfast was good and the staff nice. We had no problem finding an outdoor parking space free of charge and if you prefer parking indoors , the hotel has its own garage.

Convenient for touring the area
Reviewed By Virginia OWe stayed two nights in this hotel. It was situated on a narrow, one way road. So, while the parking was free, it was impossible to stop immediately outside the hotel to unload luggage. However, directly across the street there was a free underground car park, 2 levels down, across from the entrance to the hotel. There was a lift to get out of the car park, but then a flight of stairs down and across a courtyard to gain access to the hotel entrance. So, bear in mind the parking issue when booking. It's fine if you only have light luggage, but more difficult with heavier bags. Also, there is no lift in the hotel. So, as our room was one level up a flight of stairs, we decided to leave our main luggage in the boot of our car & brought things up to our room as we needed them. The reception staff were friendly and the room was a very good size. But the corridors and the room had more of a dormitory feel; functional, but a bit soulless. The beds were comfortable and it was an easy location as a base to wander around the town and convenient for visiting our planned tourist destinations of La Rabida Monastery, Muelle de la Carabelas & Playa de Punta Umbria. It was also very reasonably priced, although breakfast was not included in the room price.

IDEAL
Reviewed By mahupa92My couple and me took some time off and could not be happier with our choice. The location is perfect, 15 min to the first beach on one side and 10 min to the town of El Rocio on the other. Additionally it is at a midpoint between the city's of Huelva and Sevilla, and right in the middle of the Doñana National Park. Needless to say this allows for a variety of activities hard to find anywhere else ( make sure you ask the Front Desk for recommendations) Regarding the room, we found no flaws. It was very specious and you will most likely want to take with you one or two of the furnitures. Out of curiosity we asked if we could see any of the other rooms and WOW, they could cater to practically any need. They even count with a separate house with a living area and several rooms, perfect for a group of friends ( at least that's how we are planing it). El cortijo has several green areas and 2 pools. Just walking around the property was quite relaxing. It is very well kept and has its own charm, like walking around a small town. Make sue you ask for Joaquin, the director of the hotel, although ,he will most probably walk up to you to present himself. He gave us great recommendations and made sure our stay was catered to our needs.

Reviewed By Gino VEnjoyed a good night's sleep here and a really good breakfast in the morning. Staff don't speak much of any other language than Spanish, so prepare yourself for that. Had a nice quiet meal in the evening, even though the food was not particularly exciting. A mixed leaf salad only had iceberg, so the "mixed leaf" aspect of it was a bit lost on the chef : if it only has iceberg in it, the leaves aren't mixed if you ask me, but I am not a CHEF like he is of course... Great waiter, though, you could tell he liked people and enjoyed his job. Good place to spend one night when you're on the road, but I wouldn't want to be stuck here for more than that.
