Reviewed By Rita Rstayed for three days at the hotel for a getaway from taipei. beach is nice, we went in march, weather great and due to covid not too many people. the hotel was aptly named after ceasar as it seemed that maintenance hadnt been done since the man himself was still alive. we paid 200 euro -- pls let that sink in; two hundred euros!! -- for a room that was small and just not maintained for decades. just take a look at the pictures: cracks in the walls, cabinets and shelves with peeling veneer. we had a nice view from the balcony, with just a glimpse of the sea. unfortunately, no light on the balcony, so when our baby was asleep we had to sit in the dark, as we had to turn off the lights in our room. also, that seemed be cat/bat urine on one of the chairs, dried up, not cleaned. and at 18:00 hrs the boom boxes of street vendors started blaring reggae music, gone silence. breakfast is one of those package holidays affairs with literally 300 other guests. thats fine, we re not above that, but maybe when paying 60 euro rather than 200 euro. that kind of money would get you anywhere else into a st Regis, hyatt or any other real five star hotel. when i mentioned these shortcomings to management, they wanted to change room, give us better service, maybe even discount for the room. while we appreciated the gesture, we think it is wrong as a principle to be bought off, hence we politely yet heroically ??refused, in order to be able to share our experience with the trip advisor community. our advice wld be to go up the road in kenting, get yourself a smaller hotel, guesthouse for a quarter of the price.

Reviewed By JoanneTaichungThis was the fourth time we had stayed at Chateau. It's always a lovely experience. The staff are friendly and efficient, and the rooms are nice. My only complaint is that it is getting a little bit dated. It's not a five star resort. The rooms have had a bit of a facelift, but the whole place could do with a renovation. In saying that, I'd still stay there again. It's lovely having the pools and private beach.

Reviewed By christopherb295There are many different theme areas or buildings within the complex and has lots of activities including water playground (heated pool or onsen is payable though), arcade and play area, shops and restaurants. We were offered free entry into A-Shin Cocoa Farm opposite too. A nice beach (though rocky) is at one end of the resort. We had a nice spacious mezzanine room, only thing is if the interiors and beddings could be of slightly better quality and maintained.

Staff insist that is their best they can do. toilet cant flush well, afraid of using it. i woke up middle of night, beacuse lady in next was screaming(you know why). 샤워 부스는 토나올정도로 더러운데 닦은게 이정도라고 녹물이라 어쩔수 없데요. 방 두개 예약했는데 두개다 똑같아요 방음도 안되서 옆방 커플의 리얼한 소리땜에 깼구요. 변기는 물도 잘 안내려가서 큰일 보는것도 부담스러울 정도에요. 애기들 수영장만 좋고 완전 최악.

Overall, hotel staff were very friendly, greeting guests, reminded me of hotel staff in America where they are more gregarious. In fact, the hotel had an old school waikiki beach front hotel vibe from the older infrastructure to the Hawaiian shirt wearing staff. Ocean view rooms are definitely worth the upcharge. The resort shows its age but is otherwise a great place to stay. There's even a deer petting zoo located on the grounds. Breakfast buffet was average, nothing special. Direct hotel to beach access via underground path is a plus. I would definitely stay here in the future, especially ideal with young children.

A flashy hotel with a restaurant, indoor pool and fitness centre. What is amazing is all the fun activities you can do inside! We were not staying, but the lovely staff allowed us to use the indoor clear walkway and slide for the 8th floor to the 3rd floor. It was super fun! They also have a climbing wall and ball pit. Would be an awesome place to stay. Thank you to the staff for their hospitality, also arranging a taxi for us.

Perfect communication and support; - Comfortable nice rooms; - Great location - 5 mins walk from South Bay beautiful beach; - cool jacuzzi by the window with the view. Minuses: - breakfast is a little simple, but ok. Great team working in the kitchen; - Sometimes a little noisy from the street. But sound isolation is good. In general Highly recommend for anybody. Family or friends, solo or couples would enjoy.
