Hélène and Jean welcome you to their 18th century house, The house is surrounded by a 3 ha grounds in the middle of the vineyards of Armagnac. Hélène did not discover the Gers, she grew up here. Daughter of a known winemaker in the region, she will make you, through her cultural and gastronomic knowledge, discover the rich historical heritage of Gascony, the hilltop villages and bastides, the vineyard of Armagnac, foie gras and duck producers , Côtes de Gascogne wines, garlic and many other local artisanal products. Discover many other hidden treasures of the Gers thanks to the expert advice Helene will give you after breakfast every day. Jean, native of Québec and neo-gersois for nearly 20 years, will serve you his specialty, pancakes and french toasts with maple syrup. The Gers, a place of discovery, authenticity and far from mass tourism. The house is ideally located at an equal distance between Larressingle and its fortified village, the Abbey of Flaran, a cultural centre and the town of Condom. 200 meters from our B&B, is the «green path» which is a bike and walking trail 20 kms long. Reviewed By laurencevg2We have been coming for more than 8 years and were immediately seduced by the warm welcome of Helene and Jean, and by their beautiful and charming house. The rooms are tastefully decorated and very comfortable. Héléne treats us with breakfasts prepared with fresh and home-made products. We never miss the opportunity to enjoy the table d'hôtes, with a special mention for the homemade foie gras terrine made with floc du Gascogne, and her refined cuisine. Over the years, the garden has become a paradise of flowers and plants, with beautiful, fragrant rosebushes that we were able to admire during our last stay in May 2022. We plan to come back soon!

Reviewed By MadeMartineI stayed there for 2 nights while I was working at Auch Christmas trade show and I was pleased to find such a friendly hospitality, warm and freshly renovated rooms with comfortable bedding, healthy breakfast and quiet place - after a 12 hr working day. It's 5 min driving from the city, no restaurant at the premise but several eating places close by. For business or personal trip, it's a higher value than a homestay or "gite rural" for the same price really. Have a good day and safe journey!

Worst place I have ever stayed.
Reviewed By M573FWdarrenbThis place (I don't call it a hotel) is honestly the worst place I have ever stayed. I would not recommend this to my worst enemy. On arrival it reminded me of the hotel arrival scene from the inbetweeners movie. The outside reminded me of somewhere that had been closed up for about 40 years and had just been left. An old leather worn out arm chair was left outside the room for the 3 days we were there. Probably been there for a long time. Roll up metal shutters on the windows, the type you usually see on shop fronts to stop thieves. Not the prettiest sight to say the least. Ours was a superior room so I would hate to see the standard of other rooms! Breakfast was edible, continental choice of cheese, ham, boiled egg, cereal, yoghurt, fruit. Didn't bother having it one day though but wished we had as we found that the restaurant was closed at lunch time and there is literally nowhere else to get food from, unless you can get a taxi to Auch so we had to buy a mini mars bar from reception. Inside the room, the bed was actually ok and the bathroom was ok too. We got 4 coat hangers between 2 persons so not nearly enough for 3 days of clothes. I think the carpet was supposed to be beige but it was mainly black. If you fancy a beer to drown your sorrows then expect to pay nearly 9 Euros for a pint of Heinken here! Much cheaper in the centre of Auch if you can get there. One thing I would say is the staff were fine, no issues with them! I imagine they probably felt sorry for us. I cannot imagine why anyone would want to stay here and why it is even still open.

Reviewed By RaynbozThe rooms are slightly small but comfortable and quiet. Modern bathroom. Pool area great. Pool clean, but some sun lounges need replacing. A distance from town. Bar and restaurant very good. Staff efficient and friendly. Wifi strong.

Food nice but took far too long to arrive

The first time we had to wait ages for our meal but thought it was perhaps not normal but here on our second visit once again we have had to wait almost an hour and a half for the food to arrive. The place was not at full capacity so I have no idea why it took so long, surely the entreés should be almost ready to serve! Not impressed and will not return for a third visit.

Reviewed By dd21We stayed here for two nights whilst visiting friends in the area. We’ve stayed here before a couple of years ago but the ownership has now changed. It is still as warm and welcoming as it ever was! The room we had this time was so comfortable that we slept really well. It would be a little small for a long stay but I know there are other larger rooms here. The welcome at the hotel was great and there was no problem about checking in early. We had breakfast which was fine, but just the normal French fare. It set us up for the day. We also had a very nice meal in the restaurant one evening. It’s pricey though. Both the food and wine were good. We’ll stay here again in the near future.
