No safety deposit box in room, enquired about same, and was told that they never had them, so had to carry personal possessions everywhere. Pool area too cramped, need toppers or something on the very uncomfortable dated sun loungers.

Located in the heart of Cotillo, this typical local house built in the 1920s and completely renovated by the new owners between 2017 and 2019, offers a very cozy atmosphere and combines the passion for local tradition and for the typical design of Moroccan Riads . The warm colors of walls and mosaic tiles, the decorations, the sophisticated style, the fusion between indoor and outdoor areas, with the rooms and the corridor overlooking the two patios, create a sense of harmony and peace. Bedrooms names are inspired by the typical local flora (Agave, Bouganville, Cactus, Datiles) and have a double bed, private bathroom with shower and hairdryer, flat-screen TV, safe, free WIFI, minibar. On the upper floor, guests can enjoy a large terrace with Jacuzzi, outdoor shower, comfortable loungers and a chill out area. El Hotelito is centrally located in Cotillo, at short walking distance from several bars and restaurants, the Cotillo harbour and some of the island's best beaches. Free parking near the hotel.

Even before we arrived in Fuerteventura Monica made us feel very welcome, offering any assistance required and very happy to listen to any special requests we may have for our arrival. Communication was via WhatsApp with audio messages giving a very personal and attentive touch. When we arrived at El Hotelito del Cotillo (we drove past it the first time as it’s fairly small and pleasantly unassuming from the outside, with a beautiful big wooden door) we met Monica, an extremely attentive and genuinely lovely lady who was very passionate about the island and even more passionate about helping us get the best from our stay. Monica is an absolute font of knowledge and we learned so much from her enthusiastic guidance and expertly hand labelled map she did for us as we discussed all the things we’d like to see and do. We even got links via WhatsApp to many of the things we’d discussed. The room was very clean and beautifully decorated in a Moroccan style with a window facing a small courtyard. There are only 4 rooms so it felt very cosy and homely, and the ‘reception’ area felt more like a front room with a coffee machine and hot croissants delivered every morning around 0700. The roof terrace is laid out well with an outdoor shower, enough sun loungers for a full house and some social areas with sofa seating and table and chairs. We also took full advantage of the roof top hot tub! We even came down from the tub on our first day to find a card and gift on the bed as Monica had just learned it was Olivia’s birthday. Hotelito is small enough that we felt like we were coming home and Monica was always available for any questions. We had a fantastic week at Hotelito and we will definitely be back! Thank you Monica and Shani for helping to make Olivia’s birthday a special one!

Reviewed By John OAfter a three year absence due to Covid I discovered a whole new hotel. Everything changed for the better lift installed newly painted throughout,new bar on street with rooftop, great sports areas for kids, pool area revamped with bar and great new furniture. Gym installed in old bar area. Well done

Reviewed By MikkoHaaaCotillo Sunset is literally located on the sandy beach, next to the wonderful lagoon. It takes only 8 minutes walk to closest supermarket "little Dino". There is bigger and cheaper Dino supermarket about 2 km's walk, as well as Spar supermarket. Closest cafeterias are 5 minutes walking distance. Rooms are in good shape and have all you need for making food. Nice balcony and bathroom, large comfortable beds Safety box 10€/week. The owner Omar is very caretaking and helpful. Would be nice to have a little coffee bar here, even though there's a coffeemaker in every room. The pool is good but I understand why some people find the water temperature too cold. The paradise lagoon is located just few steps ahead, but because of the tide, the lagoon can be pretty empty earlier of the day. We had bit bad luck with neighbours who moved furniture in the middle of the night, but you can't choose ngthem, can you? Still, this is a very peaceful and great hotel with very nice&smiling staff! I'd like to give 4,5/5 and will come back again, for sure!

(Currently under renovation) Its landscapes, its climate and the kindness of its people form an incomparable setting for the tourist who visits us. ESPAÑOL: El complejo de apartamentos Cotillo Lagos se encuentra en una de las zonas más paradisíacas y tranquilas de la isla de Fuerteventura. Donde la tranquilidad y sus hermosas playas le harán pasar un periodo de descanso inolvidable. Las instalaciones están situadas a 500 metros del pueblo de El Cotillo, y a orillas de la misma playa. Dispone de 61 apartamentos equipados, 7 dobles y 54 estudios. Disponemos de Bar-Cafetería. Reviewed By Tim BThese apartments are clean and tidy, whitewashed pueblo-style, two-storey. I stayed for 28 days in Room Six, a compact studio apartment up some fairly steep steps. The rooms are a bit dated, though this didn't bother me at all. There's a modern telly, small hob, microwave oven; bring a dish brush or cloth (I bought a cheap one from the local Chinese bargain store in the village). There's no toaster, so I used the frying-pan instead for "toasting." There's a good little Hiperdino supermarket about five minutes' walk away, which has almost everything you'd need. My bathroom had no basin plug, though I have one of those all-purpose travel plugs which works a treat. There's usually abundant hot water; sometimes it becomes a mere trickle with no pressure, though this doesn't last for long. The chambermaid service is good, about every other day. Because my room was a studio, my bed was not far from the noisy fridge. Apart from that I was quite content being there for a month. NB: my room had no wifi reception, so I went frequently to Reception (or on a bench outside) to watch BBC & ITV. Fortunately I have 4G capability, so I used that mainly for emails, texts, etc in my room. There are two lovely cats here, one white and the other some other breed. They endear themselves to guests. Top tip: my favourite restaurant was La Ballena, though there's a good selection of places to eat to suit all pockets and most tastes. Azzurro is good, too. Rating: between 3 and 4.

Tao El Cotillo has a great location in this charming fishing village, surrounded by a spectacular volcanic landscape. Tao El Cotillo is a hotel-like building containing apartments to rent. A reception, opened during the morning, will help you through the check-in and info about Fuerteventura. The apartments offer all the facilities to make your stay a better experience. The units are distributed over different levels of the main building that surrounds the central area, dedicated to the swimming-pools (one adults and one for children) and the solarium, equipped with sun loungers and sun shades, surrounds the pools. Almost all apartments have access from the common swimmingpool area. Our complex offers complete fully fitted and very spacious apartments, comfortable for long stay also. Most of the apartments have pool view. The interior design is simple and functional in a rustic style. You will find a big kitchen with ceramic hob, oven, refrigerator, washing machine, toaster, kettle and Italian coffee machine, apart from basic appliances, cutlery and dishes. The living room, that shares the same space with the kitchen, is equipped with a flat TV, sofa bed, cocktail table and dining table. All appartments are one or two bedroom. All have one double bed each and the second bedroom may have one or two single beds, depending on the appartment type. All apartments have with one bathroom with shower or bathtub. Each unit includes independent terrace and back patio or/and rooftop, with table and chairs. El Cotillo offers some of the best beaches on the island like: La Concha, Los Lagos or El Tostón. Ideal places for families and water sports, especially surfing, windsurfing and Kitesurfing. You will be amazed by the different possibilities offered by El Cotillo.

Large rear terrace but no furniture. wifi poor. No safe but comp!ex seems very secure. Change of towe!s if requested. ALways had hot water. REcommend

The situation of Laif hotel is ideal: we are directly in the center of the village, 50 m from the coast, 5 minutes walking from the incredible lagoons of Los Lagos and just around the corner of the old harbor of El Cotillo.

Reviewed By Jean761We had a wonderful visit. The new owners keep the place so nice. We have been going for over twenty years and always have a restful time. However, the recent improvements have made it even better. I have limited mobility and the location of the apartments means that I don't have far to walk to a selection of excellent eating places.
