Amazing hotel and service!
Reviewed By HarrySeewooVisited Shandrani beachcomber in May recently and I have to say how amazing the hotel was but I was more impressed with the service I received! Special mention to all the staff there but in particular Mr Harris Jhumun and Reena who were extremely helpful during breakfast and dinner buffets. Will be visiting again for sure!

Reviewed By EmWhistonAmazing location, beautiful beaches and incredibly helpful staff. We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis which also included 2 for 1 on evening meals at the hotel. Each night they put on a themed buffet and we ate on Italian night. There was a wide variety of food, including pasta, pizzas and salads. All of which were delicious! The room was spacious and clean with lots of character, and a lovely view of the pool/garden and the ocean! Special shout out to Even and the bar staff, who were always warm and welcoming!

Reviewed By IslaycatWe stayed 10 days and very much enjoyed it. This is more of a guesthouse than a hotel which means that there are only about 12 other guests. This gives a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The rooms have everything you need, the breakfasts are good, the pool area is great and you are very very close to the beach. It is under a flight path from the airport , but the flights aren't that often and not after a certain time at night. The owner was very friendly and helpful, with advice, booking cars etc. They also have a small spa on the premises; the prices are reasonable and the treatments really good. I would definitely recommend it.

Very kind staff, good breakfast and very close to the beach. Perfect if you just arrived in Mauritius or have an early flight given its distance from the airport

The apartment block was situated in a quiet residential area with friendly locals, a 5 minute walk to the nearest beach and close to public transport. The apartment itself was spacious, comfortable and well equipped. Mr Ramjan, the owner, was incredibly friendly and helpful; he personally took us to and from the airport and for our first shop at the local supermarket. He went out of his was to ensure we were comfortable for the duration of our stay. We will definitely be going again in the near future.

Right on Blue Bay Beach
Reviewed By Jocelyn SOur first floor room with terrace overlooking the Bay was perfect - wonderful view over the bay and island in front. Definitely the best room! Toilet and shower room just down the hall. The villa is very near the airport but there is no aircraft noise during the night. Walk down a short private path to the white sand beach - somewhat crowded when we were there as it was a Hindu festival weekend with large family gatherings. Shared kitchen, small refrigerator in our room - we ate in the first night on our terrace where we had an aperitif each evening - for the other nights we chose several of the nearby restaurants, some of which are within walking distance. Our hostess Manuela is charming and helpful and lives on-site - it seems possible to rent the entire villa if required (I think there are 5 bedrooms/4 bathrooms). A perfect place for a stay at Blue Bay and to use as a base for visiting other places - October seems an ideal month climate-wise.

Reviewed By jlfveNous avons résidé 3 jours dans un appartement « villas Pingouin » avec une amie, et nous recommandons ce logement, d’un bon rapport qualité / prix. La plage est située à 5-10 min à pied, ainsi qu’une épicerie de quartier. Le propriétaire a été très prévenant et arrangeant.

Worst service ever
Reviewed By DusoyePenthouse delivered was not cleaned. Double bed was broken in a room and when owner was called he never came to solve the issue. No water was available in the kitchen on our arrival. Sliding doors damaged hard to slide. No provision of microwave and outside balcony lights burnt out. Owner very rude when called to explain about issues with villa. Would never recommend to anyone.

Nice and homely Stay
Reviewed By nomadsfixWe stayed at Gite Des acacias for 2 nights. One when we arrived in Mauritius and one before we leave Mauritius. The guesthouse is conveniently located less than 10min drive from the Airport. On arrival Dimitry gave us a tour of the property. The room on the small side, has aircon which works well (although on the on the noisy end), and everything you need. Wifi was good. They offer an option to have a buffet dinner made of local creole cuisine and we recommend as it was delicious. You share the meal with Dimitry and Isabelle, the owners, and other guests, if they are any others. So we had a lovely social evening talking about everything with the owners and another couple we met (and stayed in touch since). For breakfast you get plenty of food, bread, pancakes, yogurt, juice but most of all the jams are homemade by the housekeeper and they are just delicious! We would recommend the place and if you could stay longer it would be a great base. Note that there is nothing really around to eat so you'd better consider this! It's excellent value for money in our opinion!
