Ile des Deux Cocos

Visited this island on a tour organised by Lux Tamassa. Enjoyed every minute from the moment we arrived until we left.
We arrived via speedboat on the island and were treated like royalty the entire time. We visited the villa on the island and were told we could use the villas pool.
Thank you to Sajeed for taking such good care of us. The cocktails were delicious and included as part of the tour as well as the delicious buffet. We tasted dhall Puri here for the first time. We loved it!!!
We also went snorkeling which was so much of fun with an abundance of fish and coral. This tour is definitely worth the money!!!

I've done the full day trip to Ile aux Cerfs three times already. It's awesome, fun, you'll visit loads of interesting places.. And I can assure you'll pay for what you get. I work in hospitality, and I have done an incredible amount of boat trips in Mauritius in 6 months... and this one is one of the best. I would definitely recommend.

We are a couple from Munich, Germany, and went to Mauritius in December for a two-week holiday near Blue Bay in the south-eastern part of the island.
One of the highlights of our visit were definitely the boat trips with Jeff who was recommended to us. We spent a perfect day with Jeff and his boat "Bonobo", went snorkeling and also had a delicious lunch on a small island. After the first wonderful day with Jeff and his boat we made two further boat trips with him and again had a great time. Jeff knows all the beautiful places and, since we were alone with him on the boat, we could choose from his suggestions. What we also enjoyed a lot were our talks with him where we also learned many interesting things about the surroundings and the island. When visiting Mauritius at least one boat trip with Jeff should not be missed.

Wow what a wonderful snorkelling excursion. Well worth the price, especially as we landed up with a large group who had a snorkelling guide. Even without getting into the water, the glass bottom boat is a great way to see the reef with its large number of different and colourful fishes.

Speedboat Ferrari Cruise

Speedboat boat trip at Blue Bay. Visit of all the Islands in the east coast of Mauritius.

We (my husband and I) had the day with Ben and his speed boat with a family of four, a nice small group. The tour lasted the whole day, we started around 10am and finished i.e. got our taxi back to the hotel around 4:30pm. Ben took time out to explain things to us along the way and also made sure we got some good photos of the day. We went from Blue Bay all the way to the Deer Island, along the way we saw a waterfall, the shipwreck, the marine park, the conservation island and the light house.
The East Coast was one of our best days in Mauritius and I think that was due to the Ben our guide and the time he took to explain things. Oh yeah he made a special stop so that me and my husband could para-sail in the Indian Ocean, amazing experience!

My girlfriend booked the massage for both of us during our recent trip to Blue Bay. It was the first time I was going for a massage, while my girlfriend has been to massages on several occasions. I was really disappointed with how the massage went, and my girlfriend, who was also utterly disappointed with her massage, regrettably felt quite bad in having booked the massage via Chantauvent Guesthouse in Pointe d’Esny, especially when I was the one who paid for those. We felt cheated for the massages we got.
A few things I would mention that made my experience pretty bad:
- the welcoming was poor, if there was anything of the sort. My girlfriend went in for her massage, and I was told to wait in a room without the offer of a complementary glass of water or a hot drink, not even after my massage. I don't think much of an effort was spared in making me feel welcome and comfortable.
- the massage room was full of mosquitoes when I was being massaged, and I was bitten many times. It's rather poor judgment from the masseuse to not have had mosquito/insect repellants in the room when she was knew I would be exposed to insect bites;
- this added to the bad experience of having had a pretty bad massage, and I'm saying this as someone who went in expecting his first ever massage to be a glorious experience (since I was told that Fabiola would have "mains d'or"!). I was totally deceived by the experience, and so was my girlfriend. I felt the massage was incoherent, not thorough (for what was supposed to be a whole hour massage!), the masseuse was not applying pressure where it needed to be applied and for the amount of time it needed to be applied (I felt like she was just touching my body gently and just being content with rubbing the massage oil over and into my skin). She did not even ask me whether I was happy with how the massage was going, and no communication at all happened during the whole time I was being massaged (I was not even asked whether I had any injury, or anything that would make massaging a particular part of my body painful)!;
- I did not receive anything resembling a proper back massage, whether upper back or lower back, nor did I get a chest massage, and the massage actually did not last an hour (it really felt like the massage was rushed through throughout!). The leg massage was bad, and the neck massage almost inexistent!
- I was not offered to wash the oil off my face or was given a towel to wipe off excess oil off my body. I was just told to mind getting off the table and
All in all, my girlfriend and I had a pretty bad experience, feeling ripped off, and having had to waste 2 hours or so to get through this when we could have been enjoying Blue Bay doing other activities.
I have to say that I have no idea how Fabiola, given the experience my girlfriend and I had with her, could actually be called a masseuse! I would definitely not recommend at all Natural Bliss Massage to anyone, and I would even put a zero star as review if that were possible.
