Grounds are kept nice, great pool area. Close to everything but yet very quite so you can get a good sleep. It's like home away form home.

Reviewed By beckyg374We stayed here at the beginning and end of a week at Bar Harbor, and 1 night last year, as well. It is clean and comfortable. The room came with 2 bottles of water and lots of pillows! We remembered the blueberry pancakes and blueberry pie from last year. They were just as good this time. Each bite of pancake had a load of blueberries. We plan to return to Maine, and will stay here again.

Uncomfortable, highly restrictive, well overpriced
Reviewed By N2477XEandrewAfter staying at Residence Inn hotels all over the US, I can say with certainty that this place is tremendously uncomfortable, and way overpriced, with respect to the Residence Inn brand. Upper limits on their unbranded, tamper-proof thermostats, in April, were 75 degrees F. Absolutely ridiculous. They had to have maintenance come up to my room to override this frigid setting. Not a single other Residence Inn that I've been to, while traveling around the US for several months, had this kind of limitation. Forced ventilation was another restrictive guest-controlling measure, although somewhat common across the brand. A key card was required to be in a slot next to the room door, in order for the lights to work. Still haven't seen that ANYWHERE else, even in brand new Residence Inn hotels (or any other hotels, for that matter). They leveraged this as an opportunity to make in-person contact with us at check in, even though we clearly and explicitly asked for a contact-free check in process (and were otherwise accommodated). They knew they could have taken care of this before we got to our rooms. This place was uncomfortable, intrusive, and well overpriced. We paid over $300 per room, per night, for 2 studio suites here - not even connecting ones. We've paid less than half that rate at nicer, more comfortable, and far more easy-going Residence Inns - and not for studio suites, but for two bedroom suites. This place is a joke.

Reviewed By Nicole MWe absolutely loved our stay at this hotel. the staff were amazing and the facilities are beautiful. They provided shuttle service to and from the airport as we were travelling. They have a very low parking charge as long as you have a stay on one end of your trip. The lot is a nice covered parking garage. We also had an amazing shuttle driver who even gave us a little tour of Bangor and some famous sites. Went above and beyond, We also had an opportunity to catch a few horses training. I would highly recommend this hotel. :-)

Another excellent stay
Reviewed By DadFromMaineWe have stayed here 6 or 7 times over the last ten years. They never disappoint. A bit more expensive than most places in the area, but so worth it. The staff are superb. Very quiet hotel (which is really key for us). NO riff-raff at this place. We asked for a cot as we always do, and like usual, they had it set up and ready in the room. The rooms are good sized. Good beds. Restaurant is truly fantastic (and has outdoor dining). Pool is a bit small but is good, as is the hot tub. The only minor quibble is that we stayed in April, and the beds should have a lighter blanket or two, instead of the heavy comforter. But this the place to stay in Bangor.

Ok but not for me
Reviewed By Melanie LI needed to be by the hospital. The hotel was very busy. Room was clean bathroom very clean. Fridge & microwave in room. Staff friendly. Problem lots of dogs. Do they have special rooms for pets or is any room a pet room? Not sure who thought of the great idea of creating the dog bathroom area right by the patio by the pool! So as I sat on the patio eating pizza I had to watch 3 dogs take a crap 6 feet away from me!! Worst only one person picked it up! So don’t walk on the grass it’s loaded! Lots of homeless people roaming around the parking lot day and night. Won’t book again $234 absolutely NOT worth it!!
