Everything is done for your well-being. The rooms in the hotel have been named after the Norwegian storyteller Regine Normann’s fairytales. Each room - a new adventure.All rooms have their own bathroom with shower and toilet, TV and free wireless internet. Comfortable beds and clean rooms goes without saying. Breakfast is included.Summer 2013 we also open a coffeebar at the hotel. We will serve the best coffee and espresso based drinks, along with tea and chocolate of the best quality. You will also have the possibility to have some fresh bakery from our kitchen this summer.

Reviewed By eMBieAntwerpFirst hotel after arriving late in the evening at the Vesterålen. (Group tour 10 pax). We were warmly welcomed and had a lovely room. A double bed with a good mattress, shower with good water pressure and very quiet at night. We slept very well. Breakfast in the morning was adequate and had a good selection to start your day. Hotel is in walking distance (10 min.) to the Whale excursion boat and adjacent to the hotel there is a supermarket. Can recommend this hotel for your stay at the Vesterålen.

Reviewed By 751morganbThis i s a welcoming hotel with a central location in Andenes. I had a single room. The room was OK with a comfortable bed. Good breakfast on set times due to the pandemic. I also god great help from the staff when I asked for some advices for the local area. This Is a hotel I will return back to another time.

Reviewed By JaneW2347We had a wonderful family break in Lankanholmen Sea Cabin; phenomenal views of the Northern Lights, Sea Eagles, Seals and sunsets from the cabin. A very comfortable, family-friendly suite with a practical kitchenette, impressive power shower and comfortable bedrooms; great lighting and modern fixtures and fittings. Located within a short walk of the lighthouse, Sea and Whale Safaris, restaurants and high street cafe and supermarkets we were able to enjoy the best of Andenes on foot, a short stroll from the cabin. A memorable holiday in a remarkable location with every home comfort; highly recommended.

Our experiences at Alma House
Reviewed By John_M255115We were allocated a room in Alma House, an old house that dates from 1851.There are 4 guest bedrooms - 3 (a double, a twin and a single) are accessed by a very steep flight of stairs and serviced by a bathroom that is downstairs. The 4th bedroom is accessed by a separate and also steep flight of stairs - there is also a toilet by this room. Our double room was adequate with an unused fireplace giving a hint of a previous life. Behind the fireplace was a curtain and stuffed behind this some foam cushions. In addition to the bathroom the downstairs also included a kitchen, nice dining area and lounge. The latter has a TV but we discovered anyone staying in the room directly above could hear every word and a guest in that room asked it be turned off. Alma House is perfectly located for nearby dining options and the Gryllefjord ferry. All in all we were a little disappointed with Alma House. We consider the steep stairs to be a potential safety hazard whilst the inability to watch TV, even with the sound low without disturbing other guests to be unsatisfactory. Additionally the sound of other guests carries easily between rooms.

Felt like being at the edge of the world
Reviewed By Claire MA comfy stay at what felt like the edge of the world. And finally a shower with a frame where water does not splash all over the bathroom! There are restaurants, grocery stores, a kids park and even clothes shops all within walking distance, I was impressed. Tip - a little broom and dustpan would be great to have in the room.

Of course, no luxury, nothing above expectations, but nothing under neither, and that's very good. Pro: -very- big room, nice view if you ask, free parking, normally "free wifi". 20 minutes by car from Andenes and ferry departures. Owner very friendly and helpful. negatives : Room outdated, the wifi was so weak in our room that it was not possible to use it... we had to go to the lobby. No breakfast possible on site.

Reviewed By 782piapVery close to the ferry from Andenes to Senja (Gryllefjord), and easy to find. It is a big house with separat bedrooms, and shared kitchen, living room and bath. You get to know people from different countries if you like to be sosial. is clean everywhere and the room ve had was large and cozy with good beds. The host is very welcoming and nice. It is situated in a quiet street, and close to the ligthouse and the spot were join the whale safarie. There are several restaurants in walking distance.

Wir riefen einen Kontakt an und innerhalb von 5 minuten war jemand da, übergab den Schlüssel und wickelte die Bezahlung ab. Es sind kleine zweckmäßige Appartements, ausgestattet mit einer Küchenzeile, Couch, Tisch und Stühle sowie Schlafzimmer und Bad. Die Lage ist gut, fußläufig zu Restaurants und dicht zur Fähre nach Senja.
