An area that changed flags several times in the 20th century, Eastern Poland consists of Podlaskie, Lublin and Subcarpathian Voivodships (Provinces). The formar nazi concentration camp has been very well organised as a museum. Very large areas so be prepared to do lots of walking. It took us 4 hours to get around all of it. And that was with three exhibitions closed for renovations. We have been to Auschwitz, but even so this was well worth the visit.

Lublin's magnificent Old Town, restored a few years ago, delights with its charm and history, one of my favorite cities in Poland, which I like to visit both in summer and in winter.

Zamosc is very pretty, historic city with charming old town. We have been out of the season so a lot of places were closed but i think this is place worth going any time during the year because of people and lovely architecture
