Eastern Poland Hotels | Places to Stay in Eastern Poland

August 11, 2022 Osvaldo Hartline

An area that changed flags several times in the 20th century, Eastern Poland consists of Podlaskie, Lublin and Subcarpathian Voivodships (Provinces). The largest cities in each are Bialystok, Lublin and Zamosc respectively. The Masurian Lake District in the northeast includes Wigry National Park and Lake Hancza, the deepest lake in Poland. Bialowieza National Park, on the Belarusian border, protects one of the last remaining sections of a huge primeval forest that once covered Eastern Europe.

Have stayed in many hotels al over the world but Cristal is among one of my favorites, Central location and staff are all very helpful and friendly. What makes this hotel extra special are their long term staff. I have visited the hotel regularly for the last 12 years and almost all staff are still there. This alone is a good indication it is run and managed very well. Excellent food and a cozy restaurant.

Beautiful location.. great pool and sauna.. amazing and friendly staff.. I only wish that they would have something to do in the evening..we played billard which you have to pay extra and it’s very inconveniently located on the 4th floor by the elevator.. Also, the pool and gym should be open earlier than 9am.. Other than that, great hotel and delicious breakfast!

Lovely hotel let down by poor service and noise!

Reviewed By scubyboy

This is the second time we have stayed in the hotel and in room 106 which is a suite looking out on to the Old Town, which is beautiful. The location of the hotel is amazing and the cleanliness and general condition of the hotel is very good. Sadly, the location and hotel has been let down by some very poor service and noise. Firstly the service. Our first visit was amazing and the staff were superb. Unfortunately this time round the reception staff have been slow and when we had requests we were asked to go downstairs to them! When we got into our beautiful suite with a balcony overlooking the Old Town square we decided to have a much needed cup of tea and coffee. There was one normal tea bag and only one sugar and one sweetener. So we had to call reception. They then sent up four more sugars and a mixture of tea. This was okay but we knew we would need more later if we wanted to have a couple more hot drinks...so we ended up calling later for more. We then received an expresso which they wanted us to sign for!! There should have been no confusion as my partner is Polish (I am English). We then had to call to get the second room key back after the cleaner had taken our one. having been asked to attend the reception to get one my partner insisted they bring one to us! On the second day in the evening we then had a knock on the door followed quickly by a member of staff coming in, fortunately I was dressed but my partner was having a bath. Apparently there was an emergency. Thank goodness we were not interrupted enjoying our break in other ways! When we used the restaurant for an evening meal there were no napkins for some reason, the same happened at breakfast...you had to ask! As I write at 0900hrs I am still tired from an interrupted night of listening to drunk people outside, police cars, until 0330hrs and the noise of chairs moving and music from the restaurant directly below our suite! These may sound trivial things, apart from the drunken people shouting until the early hours, but this is a five star hotel and the suite we were in is the most expensive room. We wont stay again as we feel the standard of service has dropped and for some reason the noise in the suite this time round was far louder than before.

avoid (once excellent hotel, but today - disaster)

Reviewed By wszewko

The hotel organizes all-night discos, which make it impossible for guests to sleep or rest there. they do not inform about the fact that there is an all-night party on a given day, they only casually write about "birthdays" which "may be heard in the hotel part". They are really discos with all-night music so loud that even being in a room is impossible, you can forget about dreams. The arrogant staff refused to intervene in any way to lower the music. Top absolute degradation of a once-excellent facility. The restaurant cannot be used on such a day, because there is a party. I have been a guest at this hotel for 15 years. I will not come there again. It's a relegation from a 4 star venue to a primitive disco addition. And since the facility earns more on parties than on guests, it completely ignores the needs of the guests.

Nice hotel for the family

Reviewed By Magdalena S

Nice hotel for a longer stay. It seems to be on the outskirts but it's really close to the city - good bus communication from the main street (around 10 minutes walking from the hotel) and if you are with the car - there is parking space belonging to the hotel. The rooms are standard - beds, wardrobe, commode, writing desk, water, tee & coffee set, TV, but no mini fridge. Bathroom belonging to the room. Breakfast is ok - cold buffet and fresh eggs (you order it). There are also two free saunas for the hotel guests (dry and wet) which are small but very nice. The hotel has a lift so there is no problem to stay with the small baby (stroller). What is more, there is an outdoor swing in the backyard and indoor playground in the basement with some toys (without batteries), books, small soccer ground, ball, slide and pool full of plastic balls etc. So your baby can also have a good time in the hotel. The staff is very polite and helpful. I recommend this hotel to everyone.

Hotel Aristo

The house was built in 1897 by Abram Jossem, a known dentist from Bialystok. It hosted many famous residents, mostly the elite residents of Bialystok. Back in time, several institutions were located here: St. Petersburg Agency - Toulouse Land Bank - the main investor of the "Ritz" Hotel, the Szejnman pawnshop, an institution producing stamps, the Solomon Ginzburg request office, the "Life of Bialystok" editorial office, and many others. Beautiful but unfortunately very damaged building, which was entered in the register of historical monuments, required renovation. The modernization of the building, which was possible through the capital of the investors and the EU subsidies, started in 2009, although, the original facade of the building was preserved. The main idea of the whole undertaking was to create a boutique hotel in the heart of Białystok
