Reviewed By Susy SThe day before arriving we became a mail that we had no terrace. Indeed, we have no terrace but stairs in front of our front door. Not only we can not sit outside, we also have to close the curtains 24/7 because everone needs the stairs. . . In the descriptie of the appartements you read "terrace". When you are unfortunaid like us, you won't get it and you sit in the dark 24/7

Really lovely experience
Reviewed By annamarie_keaneThis accommodation met our expectations and more. Very clean and spacious with a large and very comfortable bed. We had everything we needed to have an enjoyable and safe stay. Our apartment (8) over looked the pool and had a view of the sea for sunsets. Walking down hill from the apartment through a park area (10 mins walk) there is a strip of places to eat and a large supermarket open till 10PM. There is also a taxi rank and the local taxi's are cheap and plentiful. We booked a taxi airport pick up via the apartment and it was very reasonable compared to the commercial taxi's, 40 Euro each way. Past the strip is a short walk to the harbour. The swimming pool was of medium size and very safe but deep and large enough to swim, lots of safely spaced loungers and a shower. The general area is very quite and there is a tennis club across the road. Stefania was really helpful, both prior to our arrival in responding to my emails and while we were there. It is very easy to obtain Covid return tests around the area and Stefania can recommend a local doctor.

Great location, amazing views.
Reviewed By CoxapauWe stayed at the Punta del Rey on a 7-day B&B break in April 2022, booked through TUI. The room was an Annexe Premium Studio with Sea View and Balcony. The balcony was so good that we spent 4 mornings and early afternoons out of 6 just sunbathing on it. The views are fantastic as it they have clear glass to floor level, allowing a great view of the beach and harbour. The balcony is very spacious, with 2 good chairs, sizeable table and drying rack. The artificial grass carpet is a nice touch. Inside the rooms are well laid out. We did not use much of the kitchenette, except the kettle! The shower room is good with a powerful shower. There is also good storage space. We arrived knowing there were extra charges for the safe and TV remote, so this was not a shock and not a huge issue for us. The one big disappointment was the breakfast. We have stayed in many equivalent cost hotels in the canaries and have been very satisfied with the breakfasts. What is offered at the Punta del Rey is below reasonable expectations. The choice, presentation and quality of the food and drink is poor. EG: Only 2 types of cereal (both looked like low-budget cornflakes), No bananas for 4 days (told on 1st day they were too green!!), fried eggs that looked unappetizing. I could give more detail. The management have argued, on other reviews, that the breakfast is good value. I would strongly disagree. However as we had paid in advance we kept with it and found something each day. In future I would spend the 9 Euros each at the Dino Supermarket and have my own. Anyway despite this one low point the rest of the hotel was extremely good and I would recommend it to others. The balcony view was one of the best in the resort, if not the best. We did not have dinner in the restaurant but visited Mogan Mall, where there are some great restaurants (Tex Mex, Vincis Italian and Papi's Grill) If you're coming to Puerto Rico be prepared for some uphill walks.

Worth a stay
Reviewed By angelarR7189EZWe stayed in one of the Villas. (006) Staff were extremely helpful and very pleasant. The villa has a living area with large tv, dining table and small kitchen with all basic equipment needed (no dishwasher). Bedroom is a decent size with a super king size bed and it’s own patio doors . The bathroom is also a very decent size and well equipped but no bath, only a shower. It was all very clean and daily housekeeping service provided except Thursdays and Sundays. The private outdoor area to the villa was so lovely. It can be over looked by other guests but only if they stand on the balcony above the villa which people would do take in the stunning views of Amadores beach. Hotel was quiet when we stayed so wasn’t a problem for us. There was a lovely infinity pool as part of our villa which was in our own private garden which was lovely and overlooked Amadores Beach and a dining table and chairs also outside as well as 2 sun loungers, Although heated at times it was cold and we had to ask for temp to be turned up on it. The interior of the villa although very clean is a little dated and tired but all in great condition. The only real issue for us was the smell of drains in the bathroom which if the bathroom door wasn’t kept closed you could also smell in the living area / kitchen. There was no washing machine in the villa but they were available on floor 3 of hotel at an additional cost. Also no iron or ironing board but you can request these from reception. Your also provided with bathroom towels and pool towels. There is a small but well stocked little shop which has fresh bread available daily but would advise to buy before 10am as it sells out quickly . A comfortable and relaxing stay.

A perfect week in the sun
Reviewed By timetraveller_20110This is a quality resort on the side of a hill overlooking Amadores Beach. Our one bedroom ground floor apartment overlooked the pool which was quiet. Apartment was a good size and well equipped but no oven. There is parking on the road outside the resort. There are plenty of restaurants nearby - up the hill at the Europa centre and by the beautiful Amadores Beach. Taxis are cheap and plentiful. Can't wait to go back.

Bungalow-style apartment complex on the beachfront, very quiet
OK+ would not recommend for long stay.
Reviewed By Celine ORented three rooms for two weeks. Old (but big) apartments rooms, that could have needed an upgrate. I give it 3* because the distance to beach was very short and with nice view, still the staff were not very helpful and cleaning was often not done properly and towels were only changed two times a week. When we arrived I also noticed that bedsheets was dirty and the next cleaning day was in two days. It is nice for staying but not give any «hotel» feeling. Long (but nice walk) to puerto rico city which is approx. 20-25 min to walk.
