Convenient location

Reviewed By William O

This stay was very convenient to local restaurants. The room itself was nice and well furnished. Not sure if all the units are this way but the bathroom was very small with a tiny sink. Maybe we were just unlucky the nights we stayed but the noises from the streets below were very loud while we were trying to sleep. There is a large flight of stairs with no elevator. Overall we were good with our stay but felt like these negatives needed to be pointed out. Can't beat the location to the downtown restaurants.

Toddler Birthday vacation

Reviewed By TheMrWin

We came here to celebrate my daughters second birthday. We stayed for two nights in the captains quarters cottage. Upon arrival our first impression was positive. A friendly woman from cleaning services directed us to the lobby. We were in the parking lot which was beachside and the main lobby was street side. Once in the lobby, I observed that it was clean and the interior was nicely decorated. The check in desktops were clean. Dana was our check in attendant. She was kind and welcoming. My daughter just turned two and she offered her a toy from the kids basket, that was sweet. A kid friendly is a must. We received a parking pass and parking spots were conveniently right next to our cottage. There was no charge for that. STAFF: 5 stars A welcoming staff is the face of a stay. Professionalism and friendliness is what we experienced the whole stay. The cottage interior design was super cute. The owner really went all out on every detail. The floors were clean, counter tops sanitized and kitchen appliances were washed appropriately/organized. Both bedrooms were up to standard. Matresses/pillows were comfortable and the linen was with quality. The heaters worked well and there was a portable one which was great to have for my little one. The patio for upstairs bedroom had a great view and was maintenance well. The only improvement I would reccomend is in regards to the sofa couch in the cottage. I noticed there were a number of dried spills of probably a beaverage that should have been cleaned before our entry. Since it is a highly used part of a beach home, attention to that detail is important. The cottage was peaceful. There were no noise disturbances and surprisingly since it's on a busy street we could not hear any cars drive by. CLEANLINESS: 4.5 stars Free Wifi was available. We used it and the connection was fast and reliable. Remotes were easy to find. Tv worked as expected. There were extra movies under the tv which was a nice addition. ELECTRONICS: 5 stars The community hot tub was a great addittion. I definitely would reccomend it because not only is it huge but you can't beat hot tub relaxation with excellent views. Towels were restocked and the whole area was clean. The fire pit area was also tidy. We also utilized the beach access staircase. I definitely recommend that too. Its a beautiful Lil walk down to the beach. It's steep so if you have little kids be careful. There is a code for the gate going down so you will need to ask the front desk for it.The grounds in general were very well maintained. I did not see any litter the entire stay, impressive. AMENITIES: 5 stars Thank you guys for the wonderful stay and keep up the great work. We will definitely book again in the future. This will now be one of our favorite family vacation spots. ? Not all rooms look like the pictures.

Reviewed By Z1994NVtjr

We booked an ocean view room and what we got was a room that you had to go out on a shared balcony and look over a couple of buildings to get a glimpse of the ocean. The unit in general was dingy. The carpets were stained, bathroom was tiny and out dated, the appliances and decor are from the 60's and did not function properly, the walls are paper thin as you can hear normal conversation in the room next door. When there was someone at the front desk they were not helpful in any way. I wish I could say something positive but all in all this was the worst hotel/condo that we have ever stayed in.

Sand and Sea Condominiums

Experience the best of Seaside, OR. while staying at Sand and Sea. Getting to the beach and Seaside attractions is easy when here. After relaxing on the balcony, head out to the Promenade, a pedestrian-friendly paved path right in front of the building. Stroll north two blocks to Broadway Street where you'll find taffy shops, restaurants, and antique stores. Bring your quarters to the arcade and your appetite for pub fare at Seaside Brewing Company, then top off the day with a campfire on the beach. Within the condo complex, you will also have access to convenient elevators, an indoor heated swimming pool, and even a relaxing sauna. Dogs are welcome in most of the Condos. Perfect Oregon trip at a wonderful condo!

Reviewed By jstory3958

We stayed at Sand & Sea #412 for 2 nights in late September. The condo was amazing. It was just recently sold and the new owners have repainted, replaced all the furniture and added lots of local art. I went with a friend and we had a great time. The large dining table was perfect for after-dinner games. The living room was very comfortable for watching TV or hanging out. We loved the large windows and the partial view of the ocean from certain parts of the dining table. There was also a nice balcony with a great view of the ocean. Both bedrooms were nicely furnished with new bed linens, and the bathrooms even had heated floors! The bathrooms felt like you were at a spa. The location was perfect, you could go right out of the building and be on the Promenade to walk, or get right onto the beach. Everything was high quality and very clean.

Be advised

Reviewed By Steve T

I was absolutely shocked at the condition of this property. Inside it was clean and well prepared but the property has endured some SERIOUS settling, like feet not inches. This has resulted in the building where the pool, sauna hot tubs etc being closed. Additionally one entire building has been razed (so far). The landscape is barely maintained, roofing is in extreme disrepair, nearly every window and sliding door in our unit is cloudy. IMHO Worldmark should shut this property down for renovation or get rid of it. I toured this property when it was first offered as a timeshare ~40 years ago and I don't believe there’s been any serious updates done since.

Budget family friendly accommodation great value and friendly service

Reviewed By VCRtraveler

We have stayed here 3 times over the past two years. Our kids love it because it is relaxed, it is right on the ocean, and they are so friendly. We love the units each have their own kitchen - so you can save money and settle in. This is also a quiet town, with stunning beach. We love the friendly feel. Be aware though, some of the units are older, and not fancy. The very reasonable price reflects. The views from the units on the top floor are beautiful. They offer crab pots, sticks for weiner roasts, an extensive DVD collection. Everything you family could want for fun.

Clean, spacious rooms with no views

Reviewed By LMN66

We stayed for two nights in summer, when it was fully booked. The room was a clean, spacious suite with a Jacuzzi tub. The motel was quiet and had good beds. We received daily room service despite COVID. There was a small balcony with a table and two chairs, which would be nice if it were warm enough. (This is the Oregon coast, it's often cool.) The staff were friendly and helpful. We arrived close to when the front office closed and they had called us earlier to make sure we would get there before they were gone. The office staff had helpful dining recommendations. The hotel isn't really "port side" - they're two blocks away and the view you have is of industrial lots. The port is a working port, which is interesting. There is a small beach about a half mile (10-15 minute walk) away. The better beaches along the coast are further north and south. It's conveniently located for trips to the redwoods.
