We had a very nice stay at River Mountain Lodge, May6-11, 2022. There were three of us, myself, spouse and younger son. The property is very clean and comfortable with a super location. The amenities in the unit were very good. The staff was great and we had no major issues. All the lights, appliances, etc. were working fine. There are both indoor and outdoor hot tubes and an outdoor pool. The underground parking is very convenient.

Great Western Lodging mislead us about the condition of this unit. We were told that it was in great shape, everything updated. Found it to be totally worn out, old worn out furniture, moldy, bedrooms out dated, kitchen and bathrooms very outdated. Went to Great Western's office the next morning and was told that they had recently taken over unit and she had not seen it. Three days later complained again was offered another unit, we just left and went back to Denver. Ask for partial refund and never heard from them again. We were on 49th anniversary trip, very disappointed. Never Again, Doug Nichols

The location next to a mountain stream is the best part of this condo. Enjoyed the view of the mountains as well. Fairly short walk to downtown Breckenridge. Otherwise, the beds are old and uncomfortable. Time for an update in this condo interior!

From studios to two-bedroom units with lofts, Der Steiermark has a long tradition of providing great value and an excellent location. Peak 9 chairlifts, including the new Quicksilver Super6 chairlift, are directly across the street, providing easy access to the slopes. Main Street Breckenridge is half a block away, and close to Riverwalk Center with tons of shops and restaurants. Enjoy the hot tub after a day on the slopes. Each unit has a balcony, fully equipped kitchens and are non-smoking.
The condo was a short walk to the Quicksilver Super Chair. The condo was quite dated but comfortable and the kitchen was well-stocked with all of the items to prepare meals. I would suggest bringing blinders to use at bedtime to shield your tired eyes from the well-lit hallway projecting light into the bedroom unless the owners invest in black out shades or curtains. The condo is located in the same building as a popular Mexican restaurant, Mi Casa, which was convenient for a take-out dinner. The chili rellenos were superb! Main Street was just around the corner and had numerous restaurants and a small grocery store was just a few blocks away.

We rented in the L building through a timeshare exchange. Exactly what you would expect from a ski condo. Lots of seating in the main living space. Well stocked kitchen. Plenty of closet space and hooks for ski gear, coats, etc. On the mountain which you can't beat. The free ride bus is just across the street and can take you anywhere in town at least once an hour so you can avoid driving if you'd like to have a night out. No frills, just a decent place to stay with all of the basic amenities of a condo.
