Reviewed By Morgane LDuring 5 days we had no WiFi {as several other clients}. The hotel needs to renew their OS certificate. We ve tried to explain that but they did not wanted to listen nor did anything to try to help. Additionally they do not speak English.being 1/2 French, 1/2 Brit I ve tried to help some guest that were trying to check in : they would not take care of them during their lunch break. Finally we did book and pay a room with balcony and did not had one. We were told this is due to booking.com. The hotel is clean, but for the reasons mentioned earlier I recommend and to search for alternative hotel.

The 514 Appart Hotel is a brand new hotel located in the lovely city of Carcassonne, near to the historic fortified city (UNESCO world heritage). The 514 Appart Hotel offers fully furnished bedrooms for rent daily or more. The complex has 6 independent units of 20m2 (215ft2) each with furnished kitchen, modern bathroom, trendy furniture & appliance (safe box, HD TV, ceramic hob...). The units have a small private terrace shaded by a pergola, with a garden table, chairs and parasol to enjoy an aperitif or a dinner during the sunset. The 514 Appart Hotel has its own private parking, closed at night, where customers can park for free. A Wi-Fi connexion is also available for free in each room. Reviewed By Heather TIt's not an apparthotel, it is 6 studios with a reception that is never manned. We didn't see any staff it was check in by text. The studio was dirty, the quilt needed ironing, the grass needed cutting. It was very rough around the edges. I definitely wouldn't stay there again.

Reviewed By Carmel DGreat place, clean, spacious villa, very comfortable. Great spa, beautiful swimming pool and great activities on offer. Very friendly staff. Great restaurant. We really enjoyed this location as it is central to many of the attractions we came to visit. 10/10

Reviewed By KeggfishWe have just left the Pech Mary Apartments in the Cite De Carcassonne after a wonderful stay in the citadel. When we contacted the apartment to establish the best way to get to the venue, i.e. taxi, we were informed that it would be difficult to get a taxi and were met at the train station in Carcassonne by the wonderful Isabelle who manages the property. She picked us up and drove us to the citadel and then helped us with the luggage as she had to park the car outside the city walls (and repeated this when we left). It wasn’t a long walk to the apartment, however, be aware of luggage over cobbled streets and if you are like us and at the end of a long stay in Europe with some large suitcases, the stairs to the three apartments are narrow, steep and there is no lift. We had an apartment on the second floor overlooking the square and old well which is wonderful. There are two windows overlooking the square and we slept with them open listening to the vibrancy of life in the surrounding restaurants. Mind you it can be noisy early in the morning. The apartment has a modern bathroom, air-conditioning and a well-stocked and functioning kitchenette with fridge, microwave, hotplates, drip coffee percolator, wine glasses etc and we were greeted with a chilled bottle of the local sparkling wine and fresh milk. The apartment is a good size, quaint and quirky with wonderful views and an incredible location. In the morning you can wander down to the owner’s shop/café where you are provided with two daily baked baguettes included in your stay. The café staff are amazingly friendly and do great coffee and cakes. A wonderful spot which will bring us many happy memories for years to come.

Reviewed By yshargalI did not meet the owner. She just sent a code to enter the property and the key was in the lock of the door's room. The room is part of a building with several rooms to rent and a shared kitchen. The room was big and confortable, with good lighting. WiFi worked well. The kitchen was well prepared, with 2 small refrigerators, cutlery, etc... The owner left milk, sugar, coffee and tea for our use. It is located next door to a grocery. Parking is in the street, but there was no problem to park. Not fancy but excellent value.

Quite nice and not far from the beach
Reviewed By BugaguliI rented a one-bedroom apartment for four nights here. The apartment turned out to be a small two-storey cottage with a tiny yard. The bedroom is on the first floor, and on the ground floor there is a dining room/kitchen, shower and WC. In total, six people could sleep there, but most comfortable the place would be for 2-3 people. I don't recommend signing up for the cleaning service (30-40 euros for the stay), as I signed up for it, but the cleaners never came. On the other hand, I refused from a TV-set (40 euros), but it was in the apartment for free. Bring your own bed linen, if you can. If you cannot, you can rent regular bed linen for some 40 euros. Or disposable bed sheets (2 euros or free, but they didn't look nice to me). Bring your own towels (or buy them at a local supermarket). There is a bakery opposite the reception, where you can have breakfast or snacks or buy bread and cakes. A supermarket is at a 2-minutes walk distance. The beach is some 300 meters. You can select a paid area with sunbeds (half a day - 7 euros, 2 hours - 5 euros) or free area. The hotel provides free wi-fi, but only at the reception. There is a laundry, that is, you can use a washing machine for some 5 euros. The reception were on and off at random, so you better get their telephone number.

Small but enough for a couple
Reviewed By Just_the_WandererI went there with my girlfriend, the entrance was a little chaotic since no one is aware of that portal, but once inside, we were kindly attended by the administrator. The cabin is small, but enough for 2 or even for 3 or 4 people. It is a self service hotel, so you have a kitchen, fridge, and everything needed to cook your own food, all was in a good condition. You also have a common area with a park for kids and a nice garden. I think this is one of the best places to stay if you are thinking about exploring the zone or going to the African reserve nearby.
