We come from Europe so are used to quirky small cinemas but this one is sooo nice, and such good value. You can have a beer in the courtyard waiting for your movie too. Definitely recommend.

The Oude Libertas winery is one of the oldest wineries in South Africa and houses the oldest and most established and picturesque amphitheatre in Stellenbosch. The open-air amphitheatre was opened in 1977 by the world renowned Russian pianist and conductor Vladimir Ashkenazy. The mostly Spanish architecture of the theatre, inspired by the Tarragon Amphitheatre in Spain and the Veakion Amphitheatre in Piraeus, Greece, adds to the splendorous setting. 10 friends shared a picnic on the lawns before a magic Christmas concert conducted by Richard Cock. Wine was on sale and each person received a candle to light at the appropriate time.

The 320-seater Fugard Theatre is located within the historic Sacks Futeran building in Cape Town’s District Six, with the renovated Congregational Church Hall in Caledon Street as its entrance. Construction of The Fugard Theatre was underwritten by its founding producer Eric Abraham, and is named in honour of Athol Fugard, South Africa’s greatest playwright.
I experienced the charm of the Fugard Theater when watching Kinky Boots in January. The Fugard makes it easy to book your tickets on their website with the ability to view the stage from every seat before committing to them which is perfect if you haven't been to the theater before. Parking was easy enough to find but Ubering would be ideal to enjoy a drink or two before and during the show, as they have two bars and the option to pre-order drinks and food when booking your tickets. Row C to F are ideal. The Kinky Boots production was nothing short of brilliant. The passion and talent experienced here will leave your cheeks hurting from the exuberance and awe transferred from the stage into the audience. I'd recommend this to anyone to anyone visiting or staying in Cape Town and if you are going to wear boots, make them red!

Always great experience to go to a show at the Atterbury Theatre. Visibility and sound is good everywhere and they seem to only put together quality shows! There are numerous restaurants in the complex to eat before or after a show. All in all a very pleasant outing!
