Welcome to a trip with the steam train from Jädraås! Start the trip from Jädraås and travel with the train to Svartbäcken Nedre. On return travel the train makes a longer stop at Tallås. Here you can disembark for a pause at the old station environment from 1880s. Café Mallet is serving coffee, soft drinks, buns and more. You are also welcome to bring your own packed lunch. In addiction, Sundays July 1 - August 12 train dept Jädraås at 11.55 and 13.45. - Great Train Weekend July 22-23 with a numerous trains of different kinds during two days. - Evening traffic on Saturday August 19. Please note: Due to the situation concerning covid-19, we only have our large experiment park and the new, temporary exhibition Dinosauria open at the moment. Our house is temporarily closed. We allow a limited number of visitors per day. Please note that you need to to pre-purchase you tickets before you arrive. Starting 17/8, our opening hours are Friday-Sunday 10:00-17:00. We have four floors and a park (open May-September) with experiments that children, teenagers and adults can enjoy. The experiments tempt us into learning a little bit more about technology, physics, maths, geography, biology, how people work, illusions, and much, much more.

Welcome to naturum Tåkern, a modern visitors center located at the shore of lake Tåkern, one of northern Europe’s most pristine and well renowned bird reserves! We offer guided tours of different themes, an exhibition about lake Tåkern and we welcome you to look at animals and plants in our laboratory. Watch the 14-minute-long movie about Tåkern (in English) or just have a coffee by the panorama window in front of the vast reed beds and breeding colonies of black-headed gull and common tern. Take a stroll on the nearby wetland pasture accompanied by lapwings and marsh harriers. We have a three story high bird tower and walking trails around the area. Welcome!
