We asked the most random questions about places to go and when the reception didn’t know the answer they gladly looked it up to help us. Even in the middle of the night. Thank u!

Reviewed By SmertiosLots of stairs. No elevator. For me it was part of a two-week Scandinavia tour and climbing four flights of stairs with mid-size luggage was painful. Rooms are uncomfortably small, but good mattress and good shower. Breakfast is delicious. Without luggage or with very light travel might be OK (I will still ask for a lower floor), otherwise I won't recommend.

Reviewed By travelrabThis is a marvelous hotel - comfortable rooms, great service and a terrific location for proximity to the T-Bana (a 1-min. walk), the waterfront (2 min. walk), the Opera (3-4 min. walk), and other prime sightseeing locations. The staff are extraordinarily pleasant and helpful. Rooms are typical size for European hotels, but nicely decorated. Public space is beautiful and plentiful. Buffet breakfast in the restaurant is nothing short of amazing (although skip other meals there). Several speedy elevators mean short or no waits. We were here a week and would happily come back. A place in which to make memories.

A disappointment
Reviewed By ankixThe location is excellent and the breakfast is good but it was suprisingly dirty. We hade to change rooms once and the second room was only marginally cleaner. Sticky floors and dirty surfaces. Also dust bunnies under the bed and sofa. The hallways on both floors hadn’t been vacuumed. You can ”personalize” your stay by adding dinner and a spa visit but both reservations were not communicated properly. We did manage to get it sorted and both the spa and the dinner at Noot was great.

Reviewed By lenap55NOFO is located in “Söder” a very nice part of Stockholm. It is close to local transport and it is just a matter of minutes to get downtown. The rooms are small but charming and the breakfast is fantastic with all you can wish for.

Cozy hotel but disturbed by a loud noise
Reviewed By Anna SWe were a group of three staying for two nights in two adjoined rooms at the top floor of Freys. The rooms were on the small side but cozy, nothing fancy but clean and pleasant with a bit of personality. The bathrooms are quite small and there was a slight stuffy smell. The staff was pleasant enough and breakfast buffet was ok, though a bit crowded even though we went early. Our stay would have been quite nice and worth four stars if it wasn’t for what happened on both mornings at 6.00 sharp. We were wakened by a very loud, rhythmic, pumping noise that seemed to come from above and probably had something to do with the water pipes or plumbing, because it was loudest in the bathrooms and could also be felt as a reverbation on the bathroom tap. The noise went on for five minutes and made it impossible for us to sleep - or in fact to continue sleeping afterwards. The first time it happened, we didn’t mention it at the reception, because it just seemed so random and we thought it was a one-off. But the next morning the exact same thing happened, at exactly the same time and lasting five minutes like the first time. We were of course quite annoyed and mentioned this as we were checking out, but naturally there was nothing to be done at that point as we were leaving. The staff member who listened to our complaint was sympathetic, she said she has no idea what it could be but there had been some other complaint about a noise too. So she took some notes and said they will look into it. Naturally we left and I don’t know if they did in fact look into it or find out the cause or fix the situation. The noise was so disturbing but so specific that we wondered whether it might be something that can only be heard in that specific part of the hotel, if it was maybe due to an automated mechanical process going off at a precise time. Whatever it was, it woke us up at six am on both mornings of our stay, in the rooms at the end of the corridor on the seventh floor. But as I said, otherwise our stay was nice, and hopefully the hotel has identified and fixed this problem.

Poor service and long ques to everything from check-in, elevators (we waited 15 mins to get an elevator to our room from breakvast). Rooms, lobby, hallways dirty and smelly. Overall hotel extremely torn, probably an effect of covid where hotel has obviously not been able to invest in its maintenance. Breakfast a disgrace with below budget standard options. Standard is on par with a 2-star hotel. Two plus sides: Restaurant excellent, beds comfy.

Nice but noisy
Reviewed By skagisHotel is nice with modern design, good location and welcoming staff. Stayed for a couple of nights during the week for a business trip. Going to bed early, I noticed quite loud music. Around midnight I called the front desk to inform as I assumed it could be someone having a party close to my room. Front desk informs that the music is from a bar/nightclub on the top floor and that the music will continue until 1am. Although staff apologizes it is quite surprising for a 5 star hotel that it is difficult to get some sleep until 1 am before another work day. I assume some rooms are more affected but the noise than others, so information regarding noise would have been useful at least at check-in. I stayed at 10th floor, 4 floors below the party.
