Took care of moving us to another hotel
Reviewed By Anna SWe never actually got to stay at Le Konine because the day before our stay they called and told us that the hotel is closed (didn’t tell us the reason) but they had booked us a room in the nearby Ibis. We had already paid for the room at Le Konine but they took care of the payments at Ibis (which apparently is slightly more expensive than Le Konine) so we didn’t really mind although Le Konine seemed to be a bit nicer based on the pictures (we had booked the nicer prestige room).

Reviewed By r0nald66Great place to enjoy French life when you are travelling from the Netherlands to the Provence. The old Abbey of Cluny was on 2 minutes walking distance. Hotel has different types of rooms, we selected the medieval style, which was great.

Reviewed By HelenstansfeldWe spent a night here whilst cycling along the Loire. We received a wonderful welcome. Our room was clean and comfortable, though a larger bed would have been perfect. We emailed ahead to book dinner and we were served a delicious home cooked meal with salad and fruit from the garden. Breakfast was delicious with homemade brioche, jams and biscuits. The owner very kindly provided us with a picnic for our onward journey.

A Lovely Stay
Reviewed By Chris and Steve OWe reserved a room at La Graineterie based on Tripadvisor ratings and were intrigued by the brocante/guesthouse description. We arrived in Buxy on a rainy and chilly day in April, but when we entered La Graineterie, our fatigue and chills melted away in front of the crackling fireplace in Christine's warm and cozy dining room. The Chambre Rouge as well as the entire guest house was adorned with charming antiques and personal touches. We enjoyed a lovely breakfast complete with home-made jams. The large communal dining table and the previously mentioned cozy dining room provided a friendly atmosphere for conversations with other guests. Christine gladly offered dinner recommendations. She was generous with her time giving us a tour of La Graineterie, as well as a personal tour of a nearby church. Christine is a gracious and generous host who loves what she does and staying at La Graineterie is an excellent choice for those looking for a memorable B&B and a memorable host.
