Rooms are huge
Reviewed By jennyp574We checked in quite late, so the surrounding areas outside the room are dark. Room is very spacious. First room given, toilet choke, so we were upgraded to 4 pax room since there is no more rooms available. But we need to climb up to the 2nd storey with our heavy luggage. This room is also very spacious, with big bath tub. But too bad, the toilet bidget is not working, at least its not choke. Since we only stayed one night there, we didnt bother to inform and live with it. Overall, this place will be good for families with kids. They have DIY to dye shirt, cloth etc with a fee. But we need to rush off the next morning, so we didnt get to see it.

Well designed, superb views of the mountains
Reviewed By DenniseanTravelling all the way from Taichung passing through rivers, farms and finally we arrived at this beautiful place. This hotel/homestay is very well designed and the artifacts at the lobby reflect the owner's liking for arts. There are many wooden sculptures, paintings on the wall at the lobby create a soothing atmosphere. The staff were very friendly and do not hesitate to recommend places around Sanyi and the next destination of our trip to visit. There are not many rooms like hotels but very personal touch to every room. This place gave us a serenity feel, a place to relax, a place to admire the beauty of the nature. The room is spacious and the bathroom is separated from the room, there are 2 wash basins, a stone private bathtub where you can soaked yourself in hot and warm water. You can overlook the mountains in the room and a large lawn right in front of you. You can see some guests enjoying the greenery, playing with kids and listen to the nature during night at the balcony. The breakfast and dinner at another building are just superb, breads are specially prepared day before and baked on that day. All ingredients are fresh and we really enjoyed all the foods being served to us. If we had not booked our next destination, we would like to stay for a longer period as this is a place to relax and to enjoy the beauty of the nature around you. I strongly recommend this place to stay if you are in Miaoli or on the way to Sun Moon Lake or Alishan. You will not regret.

Especially while sunshine spreading upon the trees and rooms, the lights and greenery activate and enlight everything around. The visitors will have an exotic feeling as the butlers so caring, the meals so delicious and the interior designs so delicate. Another must-go place in Taiwan!

We are Sanyi Happiness B&B, we can offer double room, quadruple room, family room. Beside this, we also have private guided tours service. If you are planning to go to Taiwan, please DO NOT miss Sanyi township, the beautiful sightseeings here will make your travel unforgettable. All rooms include a TV with satellite channels. A terrace or balcony are featured in certain rooms. The rooms come with a private bathroom. For your comfort, you will find slippers and a hair dryer. Very Spacious
Reviewed By hinauSanyi is an interesting place, as is the location of this accommodation. It was clean, though not overly equipped. I guess we were a bit elderly for the steep staircase and water all over the floor shower/bathroom, but apart from that we were very comfortable and enjoyed the balcony. The manager was just lovely and took us down to town for dinner one night. There are very few dining options. He translated our needs to the taxi driver we engaged to get around and had better english that most staff in much bigger hotels. Bed was very comfortable.

A Tranquil and Comfortable Stay
Reviewed By happy02SingaporeFuten (Futian) Washe House Villa 福田瓦舍民宿 at Miaoli County, Sanyi Township When we arrived, we were first greeted by a “fierce” barking dog, which we later learned that it was harmless – a dog with bark but no bite. It was named “小多- Xiao Duo”. We actually grew to love it as it would always nestle itself below the table by our legs when we had breakfast. The owner Mr Chen (陈大哥) welcomed us warmly and led us into the minsu for registration. He then requested our driver to drive us to Sheng Xing Train Station (勝兴车站) for dinner. Mr Chen also volunteered to fetch us back after dinner, just asked the restaurant to give him a call when we were finished. We had a Hakka dinner at a popular restaurant called 勝兴客栈, with a history of 10 years. After returning to the minsu after dinner, we consulted Mr Chen for advice on sight-seeing plans for next day. He recommended for us to book a driver to bring us to LongTeng Broken Bridge (龍騰斷橋) first before proceeding to our next minsu near Flying Cow Ranch. However, the driver he recommended quoted us a price that was out of our budget, so we asked Mr Chen whether he could let us hitch a ride (搭便车) to LongTeng Broken Bridge, then the driver would meet us there, saving some travelling costs. Mr Chen agreed after some thought, and we were glad that he was willing to help us. The next day, after he fetched us to LongTeng Broken Bridge, he even alighted from his car and volunteered to help us take a group photo with the bridge. We really appreciated the kind gesture. The room we booked was a simple double room called 居家單床二人房 which costed NT$1600. We paid a deposit and processing fee via paypal to secure the room. We like its website as it has very thorough information, if you are able to read Chinese. The whole minsu was three storeys high, and the accommodation area was on the 2nd and 3rd floor, so we had to carry our luggage up a flight of stairs. Luckily, our room was located on the 2nd floor, so no need to climb further. Our room was surprisingly spacious, comfortable and clean. The overall feeling was like we were staying in one of the rooms in a bungalow house, with a common living area right outside our room. Slippers were provided. Bath liquid, shampoo and hand towels were also provided, but you have to bring your own towels, toothbrushes and toothpaste. If you need hot water, it’s on the 3rd floor. There’s hairdryer, but I always make it a habit to bring my own for hygiene purposes. Bed was comfortable, not hard. What we loved most was the surroundings. It’s very peaceful and quiet, and the tranquility made us feel relaxed and safe. Mr Chen led us on a short tour of the surroundings, and there were two ponds, one with ducks and another with fishes which we could feed. The location of the minsu was between Sheng Xing Train Station (勝兴车站) and LongTeng Broken Bridge (龍騰斷橋), but nearer LongTeng. So it’s very convenient to visit these two attractions. The estimated taxi fare from Sanyi TRA Station to Futen Minsu was NT$250. The interior design of the reception and breakfast area was cozy and homely, with the aroma of breakfast drifting to us when we entered in the morning. Breakfast was hearty. We had sandwich, bun, fruits, coffee/tea, hot milk, fruit juice, and even desserts. Portion was just nice for us. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely return again if we need accommodation around Sanyi, Miaoli.

Sanyi is not on the normal tourist route, the most stopping just for a short moment on their way, but Sanyi is a perfect place to spend a while...explore the city, the sights in the closer area (Shengxing station, Yutengping Broken Bridge, Chateau in the air....just to name a few) or by bicycle / motorbike or train. I love to stay there and Eric's palce makes it my perfect base to go around. It's close to the train station, a few supermarkets close by and some great Hakka restaurants. The rooms are equipped with all you need. I love the view on the river just right behind the house, alot of fishes in there and you can even spot kingfishers hunting. Eric is super friendly and helps you to make your stay really great! Cannot wait to come back again!

Fridge and hot water are avaliable downstairs. The track of tourist train is not far away downhill and you can see little trains passing by. The breakfast is really great and tasty, very refreshing for the start of a holiday morning. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Thanks so much！Just a little note that you have to drive there, parking is available.

Reviewed By panda_xiongmao五月雪という愛称を持つ油桐花を見るために三義に行き、こちらに泊まりました。農家民宿でいろいろな体験もできます。 夜は近くの蛍がよく見える場所まで連れて行ってくれました。コーヒーの栽培もしているのでオプションでコーヒー焙煎の体験もできます。私たちは葡萄樹（木の幹に直接葡萄のような実がなる）の実をとって砂糖漬けにする体験をしました。 夕食は凝った料理ではなく鍋でしたが、朝食は日本の旅館のような和定食で美味しかったです。ご主人が日本の方奥さんも日本語が話せます。 新しく建った宿なので部屋は真新しく清潔で快適です。 ※選択肢がなかったので選べませんでしたが訪問したのは2019年の５月です。
