You will be charmed by this 18th century house built around a peaceful courtyard in the center of the old town. Isabelle, architect, will be pleased to advise you and to welcome you in her house that she embelished with artworks she encountered during her trips around the world.The breakfast is included. It's served in the inner garden or in the courtyard.You will find five rooms that are comfortable and original since their decoration is anchored in the Asian culture.Each of them has access to wifi..The house, hidden from the street, is situated in a traditionnal neighborhood animated with various restaurants and shops. 2 Minutes away by foot from the well-known " Place de Jaude", the historic district, restaurants and public transport ( tramway/streetcar and bus) and 15 minutes away by car from the natural Volcano Park and the thermal station, you can both take advantage of urban tourism and beautiful treks.

Reviewed By Far_East_TravellerUkDon't be deceived by the outside appearance of this bed and breakfast. It is located down an unamed small alleyway off rue des Vieillards. Even my taxi driver did not know where it was, although there is a small sign. Once you get inside the beautiful interior takes you straight to Thailand. Isabelle has created a stunning set of rooms and a courtyard garden second to none. My bedroom was furnished with antique furniture and wall hangings and was a work of art. I also had a small balcony overlooking the courtyard and she kindly put me a chair there so I could sit there at the end of the day in the greenery. Wifi in the room worked well too so I could keep in touch with home. There was a full set of information about the town laid out in the room, even to the extent of listings of which restaurants were open on Sunday and Monday.The room was extremely quiet and I slept really well. Unusually for France there were coffee and tea making facilities and a fridge and microwave available in the kitchen across the first floor landing. My private bathroom was also just across the landing from my room. The shower was French style, that is hand held, rather than fixed to the wall. Breakfast was excellent with hot waffles, croissant, fresh bread, home-made preserves, fresh fruit salad, yoghurt and superb coffee. The coffee was also drunk French style, that is in a bowl rather than in a cup, so you can dip your bread into it if you like. I had a lovely week there and wanted for nothing. Isabelle even served me breakfast early on the last day so I could catch the first train back to Paris. The location is perfect with several good restaurants very close and you can easily explore the town on foot from there. The shuttle bus to Puy-de-Dome is also only a short walk away.This place is an absolute gem, it's very reasonably priced and I have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone.

Little heaven in the city
Reviewed By StephA09We stayed at the property for 2 weeks in their suite as there was 3 of us, and a 4th person join us on the last few days of our stay. 2 rooms, both which can be either with a king size bed or twin beds. Both rooms were facing the indoor swimming pool. I loved the shutters which kept the day light out and of course the swimming pool!! It was all on one floor which made it very easy to move our little boy in his wheelchair. The property is literally 10 minutes to town centre, 5 minutes to Jardin Lecoq (a walking park with play area for children), 10 minutes to the train station. The highlights must be the owners Nicolas & Sylvain which made our stay very easy and relaxed. They are very friendly and professional. We are already planning to go back for a stay in April 2019.

Lovely quadruple room (small and with low ceiling, but EXACTLY as advertised and foretold when I booked by phone), awesome location by the slopes. No skiing this time, but some great sledging as a family, and a nice after-sledge drink on the pallet furniture. Food pick up well-organised, felt safe throughout the stay. Merci, et à très bientôt!!

Its restaurant is open ONLY RESERVATION for groups of 8 people minimum every lunchtime from Monday to Friday, from 12:00 to 14:00. His boss offers traditional cuisine prepared with fresh products. No catering is provided on weekends. Only breakfast is offered. We offer comfortable and equipped rooms (television, free wifi connection and a telephone, shower and toilet). If you come with family or group, you can take an extra bed or cot (10 euros). The hotel does not have a room accessible to people with reduced mobility.
Good for a stopover on the way to Spain
Reviewed By 45eminence45This did exactly what we wanted and provided a sleep and a shower in the middle of a long drive. The manager was very flexible and was happy to wait up to let us in as we arrived late. Slightly old-fashioned inside but clean and the family room was excellent value at €65. Happy with everything.

Value for money
Reviewed By NathalieLaselWe arrived too early as had not read could not book in until 5pm but sat in the shade and the children played on the swings. The room was adequate for our needs, the children loved the mezzanine level for them. We had some beers, local artisan and then went to freshen up before our evening meal. Well I don't know how long we waited to be served, aperitif was offered and brought eventually! Then an eternity later the chef came and told us what she could offer us, no menu, no prices. We opted for a selection of meats and cheeses which was served with potatoes and salad, still not knowing at this point how much it would cost. We were pleasantly surprised the next morning that it was 10E a head, very good value for money. Our evening entertainment was provided by a French couple leaving due to having to wait too long and the chef and the female having a full on argument. Breakfast was another debacle, they had run out of croissants but the Pain au Chocolate were pleasant enough. The jam was again locally produced and very tasty. The waiter/owner, not sure was very pleasant but organisation needs to be improved. The location was ideal for our over night stop off but we won't be returning.

Well equipped rooms
Reviewed By manofekentRight in the middle of Clermont-Ferrand this small chambres d’hote has six (yes, I know it only says five) well equipped and nicely furnished rooms, so there are enough power sockets, plenty of lights including bedside lights on both sides of the bed, decent bedding and seating, everything you need for a short stay. Reasonable continental breakfast is provided along with a capsule coffee machine you can use ate your leisure. It is in the middle of town so parking must be paid for but there is a large car park a short walk away. The owners have a small garage available on request. There are several reasonable restaurants within easy walking distance.

Reviewed By OnokayWe stop by in Clermont-Ferrant on our car trip to Bretagne. This apartment was a very good start for our first night stop on the trip . We got perfect position which allowed us not to move the car from the parking (payment) few meters from the location and visit the center and the Cathedral. The owner and his daughter has provide a fantastic assistance. Discrete but efficient! Fresh orange juice, delicious marmalades and instant coffe did make the morning breakfast even better!

Reviewed By Richard HMy wife and I stayed for one night at this hotel but didn't use the restaurant. It is a Motel and we were able to park our car right outside our room which was plain but very clean and tranquil. It offered all we needed at a very competitive price. We took a good breakfast and found the welcome and help we received first class.
