The evening meal was very very poor and the service not good , food more or less thrown at you !! The staff were not happy !! When I got the bill it included a charge for breakfast, when I showed them my booking confirmation which included breakfast they still argued that it did not include breakfast, eventually they gave in !! Will not be returning.

Great Hostal and a superb Host
Reviewed By Chilliboy16Stayed here over 4 nights and were welcomed by the owner Juan. A very knowledgable person and a superb host. The hostal is very clean, in fact SPOTLESS. Serves a lovely Spanish breakfast and the bar was just perfect for a few late night drinks. The "Luganas De Ruidera" are only a short walk away however the lakes do go further a field.

Reviewed By curiousEdmontonStayed here for a quick stop while driving to Granada. The room was fairly basic as expected for the price, but clean. Plenty of space. In the morning, we came down for breakfast and while it looked like the breakfast had been already been put away, the lady brought it all out again with a smile. Much appreciated. While we didn't stay long, the town seemed to be a nice place.

Reviewed By Barry HWe liked this place although on arrival were a little unsure. The hotel itself looks to be in need of some renovation both externally and cosmetically inside too. There is a large vending machine just outside which looks like it needs a good clean (or removal). The room was small and twin bedded with a tired but clean and fully functioning bathroom. On the positive side the staff were friendly and attentive. There is ample free parking on site, some of it covered. The hotel restaurant was very good (try the roasted shoulder of kid or the grilled pork chops) and had some good wine at reasonable prices. We chose to eat here both nights and enjoyed the food. Breakfast is quite simple (coffee, juice, toast, butter jam, fruit), but really nice – the fresh cherries were delicious. Both mornings they laid us a table on the terrace by request rather than eat inside. The area is beautiful and worthy of extended exploration by foot, cycle or car.

Reviewed By John_RocketScientistWe booked this place for a family wedding and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. The rooms are all clean and well appointed. We found an excellent choice of food, especially when you discuss in advance. Unusually, the weather forecast meant we could not hold an outdoor ceremony as planned so the evening before was a flurry of activity as the hotel interior was re-configured for an indoor event, again the staff were very supportive and were happy to provide food as late as midnight for people late arriving. We stayed on a few days after the event and it was most relaxing, the hotel is set right in the middle of the countryside with hardly another place in sight. Note the hotel is a former hunting lodge and this is apparent when you know what to look for but it is never over the top or "in your face"..

People kept telling us it was fully booked but in reality many places were closed. Guadiana was picked out of 'need'. The facilities are pretty good. Spacious rooms, very clean, very (!) good service. The second night we were offered their detached apartment right in the center of town. Very nice little place with a kitchen and small patio. Would definitely go back to either one.

Pleasant hotel
Reviewed By JWMW101Clean and functional rooms, quite basic but everything you need is there, including good WiFi. Friendly and helpful staff, well situated for cafés, bars and restaurants. Breakfast was good and if you’ve got a sweet tooth you’ll not be disappointed plenty of cake and even flan is available as well as breads, cereal, fruit, cheese etc.
