Great place to stop! Highly recommended.

We stayed overnight in one of the cabins, small but all you need and spotless; with heating, undercover parking, quiet with being back from the highway, a nice outlook. Owners are friendly and very helpful. We enjoyed the thermal pool and a great meal at the local pub; steaks were cooked to perfection with fresh veg. Will definitely stay again.

Very clean and well maintained. Bed was comfortable, fresh sheets and towels. Was asked if we needed a room service while we were there and said, no, we are ok..The room we had was down the back of the property so was very quiet. The Country Motor Inn is very close to the center of town, on the main road, so walking distance to the center of town. Many places to see and do in Cunnamulla.

Don’t waste your time or money!!

We had booked the Family room and upon arrival at 4.30pm, the Manager had given our room away. We were offered two twin rooms, one the window was smashed in, the other housekeeping hadnt been too. The Manager was always on the phone and wouldn’t deal with us personally. We were kept waiting at bar, while everyone was served instead of trying to fix the problem. Don’t waste your time or money on this poorly run establishment

Perfect overnight in Cloncurry

Reviewed By Patricia A

The drive from Mackay to Cloncurry was quite a journey, so we were very eager to check in and have some dinner and a well deserved shower. We were so pleasantly surprised that Reception waited for us to check in as it was past 8pm. The staff were so friendly and upon entering our room, we knew we had chosen well. We could park our car right out the front of our room, the air conditioning was on and perfect, the TV easy to navigate and most importantly, the ensuite was large and the shower hot. Breakfast the next morning in the attached restaurant was delicious, with my sourdough, eggs and mushrooms being of great quality and reasonably priced. We will definitely stay here again.

I stayed there last night with my wife and two children (6 y.o.,4 y.o.). A little dated motel astehtically but very clean with excellent, helpful & friendly staff. Everything you want from a little country motel. Great little bistro/bar attached also with decent priced food and drink. Definite recommend. Couldn't complain at all. You will be happy with a stay and dinner. Would be happy to stay longer. Would be excellent if travelling for work also.

Not what we ordered!

Reviewed By Dobbo4

Been here several times for a drink. Ordered entree and did not get what we ordered. Ordered "trio of dips and chargrilled flatbread" as per the menu. We recieved 2 dips and a plate of wraps cut into wedges, not chargrilled flatbreads!! Went to kitchen to enquire about 3rd dip, which should have been guacamole. Informed by junior staff that they were "out of guacamole". The young staff member then proceeded to say " What do you want me to do about it?" I suggested maybe giving me another dip that was available and was given hummus. Not sure if junior staff get training but would recommend some basic customer service skills are required when dealing with the public. Also customers should be informed when ordering if something is not available as per the menu.

You won’t get what you booked.

Reviewed By Rob E

Stayed here overnight on a trip from Sydney to Darwin, travelling with 2 mates. Booked a room with 3 single beds some 6 weeks before travelling. Explained the situation to Melissa, who confirmed our requirement in writing. Upon arrival, was told we had a room with 1 Queen & 1 Single. On advising that is not what we booked / had confirmed with Melissa, was told …. “ she’s new”. Advised best they could do was give us another single room for an extra $140.00 pn. No other options available. After driving for 8 hrs, not what you want to experience, especially when I took extra effort to ensure we had pre booked for 3 singles in a share room. Room was OK ….. but our stay & experience was ruined by the booking let down and their reluctance to apologise or provide a suitable solution. At minimum, the additional single room should have been offered at no cost, given it was their error. We won’t be back, don’t recommend and spent nothing there.

Would definitely return to the Van Park

Reviewed By Brissy2

The Caravan Park is centrally located and right opposite the Tattersalls Hotel where we were checked-in by a friendly server at the bar. Our van site was right next door to one of the clean Amenity blocks which was so handy for the FREE washing machines! Yes, the park was dusty with limited shade, it doesn’t have a dump point and Winton’s water does smell of rotten eggs but this is part of being in the outback. The van park was so handy to shops and dining outlets that we walked everywhere. Had a number of meals at the Tatts Hotel which was very busy and extremely popular.

we stayed at the Western Star Hotel and Motel for one night and was going to Birdsville the next day. The weather set in and everything got closed so Ian the manager had to work very hard to fit everyone in for an extra night. He did a fantastic job and we moved from the cabin to a hotel room. The cabins are beautiful with cooking facilitees and a balcony they are 10 out of 10 the bed was so comfortable and loved it. The hotel room was also so clean and lovely and the toilet and shower were basically outside our room which was a bonus. we would stay here again for sure. All the staff are friendly and welcome you. Kelly she was just so lovely and helpful and really is an asset. We loved her alot.
