Unexpectedly Amazing

My friends and I visited Anaconda for a girls weekend, not expecting much. We were pleasantly surprised by the gorgeous, clean hotel rooms with the world's most comfortable beds. For dinner we wandered to the Barclay II where we had the best dinner experience. Everything was delicious and the service was spectacular. The next morning after a boozy night on the town, we were so grateful to have a huge, hot breakfast ready for our hangovers. The manager of the facility, Tammy, made our stay even more special by making us feel like special guests.

Gem status in my book!

Reviewed By MyPrairieGirl

We stayed here the end of January. What a gem of a place. The owner is so friendly and we had quite a nice chat with him when we checked in and during breakfast, which he made for us, pancakes and omelets! This is a small, quaint motel family owned, with plenty of parking. (These kind of properties are hard to find anymore, so we try hard to seek them out.) Our room had a full/twin bunk and another full bed. There was room for a refrigerator and a small desk too. Plenty of nice towels and the normal shampoo and soap. It was clean and comfortable for an overnight stay. I'd definitely suggest staying here if traveling through the area, especially with kids. The lobby will keep them busy with books, games, and lots of taxidermy animals to talk about and learn about. Truly a gem!

I want to say that our check in lady Jamie went above and beyond. There is no hot chocolate offered for members who don't drink coffee or tea but when I got back to my room, she had found two packs of hot chocolate left on my door. It meant a lot and was appreciated. Hotel may have been nice but not worth the price. I don't plan to go back.

Remote location with amazing views

Reviewed By j75707p

When we started planning our trip to Yellowstone, we wanted to stay in locations that provided an authentic and rustic atmosphere. McAllister Inn provided just that. We had one hiccup, The front desk closes at 6, but they have a lockbox to pick up your keys. Unfortunately, they had mistakenly give us and another guests keys for the same room. This was quickly rectified when we called the after hours number. It was very fixable and they were extremely apologetic. This would not factor into our booking this place again. Our room was well appointed and included not only the front entrance, but a private patio on the book with gorgeous mountain views. The mini refrigerator was a nice feature. We choose them again if we were back in the area. We had hoped to eat at the steakhouse, but the dishwasher was broken and they had to close.
