Reviewed By jhende743252Reasonable value for money. Very good soundproofing against external traffic noise but arguments in the corridor could be clearly heard through the bedroom door. Staff were friendly and efficient and the hotel was very clean. The room and bathroom seemed very small but the bed was warm and comfortable - but only 1 spare pillow and no extra blankets available. The evening meal was adequate but only a fixed 3 course menu with 3 choices per course. The self-service breakfast however was SUPERB with a fantastic, varied and tasty choice. I would go back for the breakfast alone!

Love the location, the view from the window, esp when you wake up at sunrise and there's mist on the river... bed comfortable, room spacious including bathroom.... But a bolster and a solid foam pillow (the sort you can't plump into shape, it just springs back) make for a really bad night's sleep, frankly, I considered moving to Ibis Budget... :(

Reviewed By PMVHSA beautiful hotel located near the chateau. The staff were welcoming and helpful .The room was quiet and clean. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom large.The diner and breakfast in the restaurant were excellent. Other good points : a fridge in the room and a free private carpark. The price was very reasonable.

Good overnight stop with restaurant
Reviewed By Helen AVery peaceful location next to woodland walks and 10 minutes walk to the village. Simple rooms but with everything you need for a one night stay and a pleasant breakfast. We enjoyed a meal in the attached restaurant where the staff were very friendly.

Great chateau stop over near Orléans
Reviewed By GuyGeerts'In the family' since the 1600s Chateau La Touanne is a well kept place with respect for history. I would call it a 'boutique chateau'. Nice service by the owners, very nice rooms, good breakfast, ideally located to visit Orléans.

Disappointing, and not typical of Logis hotels
Reviewed By Maggiemay07We have great regard for the Logis hotel logo, having discovered many delightful small hotels through its listings, and very rarely having been disappointed. However, it is very difficult to see how this hotel merits its three 'chimneys'. When we visited, it was woefully understaffed (owners had apparently gone on holiday; leaving one brave lady to run the coffee shop and hotel). Reception was closed, and we had to trek round to the far side of the hotel to check in. Our room was boxy, characterless and claustrophobic. The bed was uncomfortable and my partner slept on the floor. The headboard had an unpleasant greasy-looking stain. Moreover, we were told on arrival that the (3 pots) restaurant was closed, although the online Logis site for this hotel indicates that the restaurant is open all year. The abbey of Fleury has a fascinating history, and is well worth a visit, but as far as the hotel goes, we regretting our booking and could not wait to leave.

Reviewed By Novamama13Our favorite part of our stay here was dinner in the little dining room. The food was very good and reasonably priced, and the couple who run the place are friendly and helpful. It’s the kind of place where the guests talk to each other. It’s a bit of a time warp — if you require the latest hotel amenities then this isn’t the place for you — but it can be very enjoyable to take a little trip to the past. The rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable, the food and service are great, and the price is modest. We would stay again.

Overnight stop following the loire
Reviewed By B6576NOdavidnThis hotel was surprisingly good value. Staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean, tidy and comfortable. Breakfast was the usual French continental. The hotel is 2 minutes walk from the river where there are lovely views particularly in the morning and evening.
