The private accommodation Grand Lakes Rooms is located in the place only 3,5 kilometers from the entrance number 2 into the National Park Plitvice Lakes. The object is at the big distance from the main roads and it's surrounded with green surfaces and National Park which turns it into an small oasis of peace. The Exterior of the Grand Lakes Rooms is built in traditional style, while the interior is built in modern style. The rooms are furnished with high quality materials and are exceptionally comfortable. Due to the lack of comfortable rooms in the area around the National Park we strived to meet the desires of with the kind of object. Also, the staff of the private accommodation "Grand Lakes Rooms" with their work and dedication wants to make the staying of our guests as pleasant as possible. The bus stop "Mukinje" is only 1,5 kilometers away from our object, the sky resort 1,7 kilometers, and the store at about 2 kilometers and it's located in the place called Mukinje.
Lovely - but needs some improvements
Reviewed By AdventurecurlsWe got there quite early, our room wasn’t finished yet. We were given the option to stay at the Grand Lakes Rooms instead which we did. Our room looked pretty new and spacious. Contained an air con too which was great to cool our room down. Our room faced in the direction of the country road but it was still alright at night. Breakfast took place at our hotel so it was easy to get up and dine there. Fast variety of food to choose from, which was great. The toaster is working too slow when plenty of people want to use it. There was an option to have dinner at this hotel too. We dined in twice. Dinner comes in a three course meal with soup, main course and dessert. The soup needs more spices I personally found. The meat of the main dish (čevapčiči) wasn’t cooked well done, it was still pretty pink. I’m not sure if that’s the fault but my tummy isn’t well off after I’ve eaten it. Anyway the deer dish was great. Some recommendations to improve the service at the hotel: - holders for hand towels - shower rug - a menu (for dinner to hand out) - different coffee machine (the coffee was not enjoyable) - payment by card - lights outside in the garden too bright at night We really enjoyed our stay. The staff is friendly and always caring, just talk to them if you need something. Enjoy your stay.

Reviewed By Teagan TRun by a family who's super friendly and hospitable. We had an amazing dinner the night we got there- huge portions! They gave us great pointers on the best route to see the national park, which was great. Very close proximity to Plitvice too. I highly recommend staying here!

Reviewed By JakeStefan21Stayed here for one night purely to put us close to the Plitvice lakes. The place is very clean, conformable and only a short drive away from the lakes entrance 2. Breakfast was great, European style with hams, cheeses and bread with eggs if we desired - exactly what is needed before walking in the national park. One of the hosts (younger girl) spoke good English and showed us maps of the different park trails and helped with dinner suggestions. Others didn't appear to speak English. No faults and would recommend if planning on visiting the lakes and have own transport.

Reviewed By I1072LAlaurasHouse Pox is an excellent choice. Rosa welcomed us in the doorstep and was super friendly. She was very nice and helpful throughout our whole stay. The house is situated in a pretty valley. The rooms are spacious with cute balconies and also very clean, the entire place is very cosy. Breakfast is included and filling with cereals, sandwitches, cheese, yoghurts, egg, jams and beverages. Plitvice National Park entrance2 is just 4 minutes drive and Slunj is also just 30 mins. We loved every minute here.

Reviewed By Luckyboy329The Hotel offers pick up from Jezera which is very comfortable and easy. the costs are 2€ - 3,50€ per person which is super cheap. It is a Family business and super comfy to talk to the people. the guest house has more then one room and all of them their own bathroom. Trashbins are for the whole floor which is weird but absolutely okay. rooms were clean, beds were comfy but pillows were a bit too hard for my taste. the area was very nice and calm. the family takes good care for you, even the dog lily which wants to play the whole day. there are a lot of little things which make the stay nice: little cookies in the floors, coffee and cups for free, access to water cooker and so on.

La salle de bain est très belle, avec une mention spéciale pour la douche vraiment très pratique avec une porte qui se replie. Aussi, un porte-savons sur le tuyau de douche : génial et pratique car la plupart du temps il n’y en a pas et tous les produits sont par terre et c’est embêtant. Les toilettes avaient été désinfectées. Il y avait également le nécessaire de douche présent. De petits détails très plaisants. Petits bémols : nous entendions vraiment beaucoup les voisins ainsi que les bruits dans le couloir… mais le coin était calme en soirée donc nous avons plutôt bien dormi. Par contre le lit est assez dur tout de même, il faut pouvoir le supporter, même si ça n’a pas été un problème pour nous. Les hôtes sont d’une gentillesse incroyable. Aux petits soins, même si nous ne sommes restés qu’une seule nuit! Le petit déjeuner sur la terrasse : vraiment super! Ils préparent des sandwichs ? bien fournis et vraiment délicieux ! Nous avons également une petite boîte de biscuits avec 2 bananes à emporter ou à l’âgée tout de suite. Ils servent les sandwichs dans un sac en papier, c’est vraiment chouette. Sur la terrasse, ils nous ont également apporté du pain avec de la confiture et du choco, du jus d’orange etc… un déjeuner bien rempli. Nous étions vraiment rassasiés ! Les petits détails sont vraiment soignés, Monsieur replace correctement le gravier dans le parking, bref un très bel endroit à découvrir si vous passez dans le coin où si vous comptez visiter les lacs ! Reviewed By Default_8948491Das Essen war lecker und es gab eine gute Auswahl, u.a. Vegetarisch und lokal (z.B. Forelle von Plitvic). Der kroatische Hauswein (weiß) war lecker. Die Bedienung war nicht die schnellste, aber ok. Auffällig war die gute Kommunikation in Englisch. Der Fisch wurde mir sogar am Tisch filletiert. Der Espresso und Cappuciono waren außergewöhnlich gut. Die Preise waren nicht billig, aber in Anbetracht der Nationalparknähe in Ordnung. Die Lage ist ansonsten recht abgelegen. Auf dem Weg bietet sich ein Halt am oberen Rand des großen Wasserfalls an. Einen sichereren Aussichtspunkt erreichst Du nach ca 150 m dem Weg folgend ab dem Häuschen am Rand des Wasserfalls.

Reviewed By Brandon42262I bought this room through booking.com. That was the biggest travel mistake I have ever made. On the booking.com website it clearly states that a continental breakfast is available. The hotel then told me that they quit doing breakfast months ago and never bothered to update it on booking.com and that I was out of luck. I tried to go through booking.com to get a different hotel and they refused to help me. Besides that, the room was tiny, the bed was uncomfortable and there are much better locations to stay here which are walking distance from the Plitvice entrance.
