Our Lofts around the castle are ideal vacation rentals. It is the right choice to visit the Loire Valley, and the Loire Valley Castles. Our concept is half way between bed and breakfast, gîte or hotel. By renting our Lofts you will have a comfortable luxury accommodation for 2 or more persons : we have Lofts with one bed room, Lofts with 2 bedrooms and even a Loft with 3 bedrooms, that can accommodate a family or a party of 11 persons. All our Lofts have independent fully equipped kitchen, a dining room and a lounge corner, some have a terrasse. Ideally situated in the heart of the medieval village of Candes Saint Martin, they have private access to the swimming pool of the castle.

Reviewed By Fran SWe spent a wonderful week playing chamber music, and our accommodations at the Suites du Chateau were lovely. The big kitchen and dining area, comfortable beds, and beautifully renovated spaces within the thick castle walls impressed us. We were there during a record heat wave, and it never quite cooled off—so the pool and cooler plunge pool were much appreciated. Performing in the castle’s troglodyte cave was a treat (and it was cool)! Monique and Didier as well as Francis all made us feel welcome.

History in a beautiful setting
Reviewed By cat0007Stephane has captured the perfect balance of mixing the Past so you can bring yourself back in time ..example the absolutely beautiful bedrooms to the new ..the bathrooms where in both you will lack for nothing ..Everything is there that you could possibly need ..even a mini fridge..bathrobes and slippers ..the rooms are meticulous and clean ..the maids did a great job and are quite nice ..I love to swim and the indoor pool is beautiful ..where it is located is a surprise ..steeped in a time of wine .. The Château is magnificent . I Love to study History ..I was very Excited and Happy to be going to such a Historical place ..never have I related so much to Julie Andrews from the movie the sound of music ..just amusing things on about 7 different occasions..one while walking alone at fountain. anyways when I walked the grounds ,gardens , and stopped to look at the Wonderful Trees and architecture I would remember the history I had read about and in that moment was able to go back in time to that time and place and imagine the way it was back then and the people that once lived here and life as they knew it Stephane is undoubtedly the nicest kindest and most thoughtful host you could wish for …you don’t have to be into history as I am to enjoy it here ..this is an outstanding place on every level and the hospitality here makes you feel so good and welcome…especially if you’re from another country …you really are made to feel at home here ..comfortable secure ..and you’re made to feel all are very happy to have you as a guest ..I could not have been made to feel more welcome or better ..thank -you so much and Stephane is a superb host that will make everyone who visits happy I highly recommend this Castle/Chateau to visit …5 stars on every level. Thank-you Stephane for everything.

Great Stay at Manoir du Parc!
Reviewed By aprillove1625This place was great! The location was awesome and it really only does take 5 mins to walk to the main area of town where the Chateau and restaurants and bars are located. We checked in around 430 with no issues. I didn’t get the woman’s name that checked us in but she was very friendly and helpful. She did speak English so that was a relief! There were 3 of us so we had an apartment that isn’t attached to the main house. The beds were comfortable and the kitchenette was equipped with dishes, microwave, sink and fridge. Very clean. There is free off street parking also a big bonus, in my opinion. Also a pool that looked nice but we just didn’t have time to enjoy it. We ordered breakfast the first morning and it was a basket of baguette, chocolate and plain croissants, OJ, coffee, butter and assorted jams. It was really good. You just have to let her know the day before if you want to order that. It is not included in the room price. The WiFi worked well the first night but wasn’t great the other two nights but we’ve come to expect that when staying in hotels in the US and abroad so nothing to complain about. I would recommend and will definitely stay here again if I get to visit Amboise in the future.

Reviewed By AheardThis is a beautiful hotel in Loches. Great location with everything in walking distance. Bar is lovely with fantastic cocktails. Thanks Kenny. He was so helpful and accommodating. Loved our stay. Restaurant has a limited menu which was a shame or we would have eaten in there more often. The girls in the restaurant and reception were friendly. Loches is such a pretty medieval town. The weekly market was nice and the chateau fab.

Reviewed By 80pippahWe stayed for 2 nights and had a fantastic time. Steve and Celine were so kind and helpful. The cave was beautifully presented and very comfortable. Breakfast in their house was special with home made yogurt, jams etc. All in all a wonderful stay highly recommended.

The refurbished villa is beautiful with characterful rooms and the hosts are so accommodating (I stupidly forgot my tie, but they found spares). Breakfast is great with delicious homemade ingredients. We’ll be back at some point!

The hosts are absolutely charming and the whole ambiance from the beginning till the end is absolutely amazing. The room, the quality of the food and the homely feeling is simply not describable in words. I highly recommend them, and you should have no hesitation in choosing them.

Reviewed By Tony MWe had an excellent time at the Manoir de Chaix. The room, amenities, food and service were all first rate and it was a very relaxing atmosphere. The optional €30 dinner was perfect in quality and portion size, the bed was first rate, and a very good nights sleep was had. For me the highlight was their aperos, which introduced us to the Montlouis wines which was the best white I have ever tasted, so much so that we sought out the Cave the bottle came from the next day, and bought a supply for return to the UK. All in all a great time was had, and I would not hesitate to stay there again.

The house with true charater and history is situated in a calm surrounding with a beautiful view on the country side. Nice and comfortabele rooms with a good breakfast. The hosts are so friendly and gave great tips for the surrounding and restaurants. The place to be!

Home Base That Feels Like Home
Reviewed By Jonathan MWe thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay beside the Vienne River. Jeanne welcomed us warmly and we truly felt at home throughout our stay. Our room was spotless, spacious, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. We loved the wooden shutters that were very effective at minimizing the very vocal frogs in the river each evening! Breakfast was plentiful and customized for each member of our party. The crepes were delicious and the addition of meats, cheeses, yogurt, eggs, and fruit got our days off to an excellent start. The home and grounds are immaculately kept and it was a pleasure to relax in the evening. The Wi-Fi service was steady and reliable. We didn't miss having a television as the tranquil surroundings were plenty entertaining. The private gated parking and very reasonably priced laundry service was much appreciated. Chinon is a quick 10 minute drive away and we found the Domaine du Heron to be the perfect home base to explore the Loire Valley. We would love to return and stay longer!
