You are well looked after and the breakfast was delicious, the afternoon tea as well as the fire pit and bright shiny stars.. location is great so much on the same road. Jo and team know the area well and recommended a few winery's and reataurants . We loved Amandas and Baume

Only if there is nowhere else to stay

I would only stay here again if there was no alternative the room was clean but the bathroom needed a handyman to clean fix up some fittings and fixtures the bed was comfortable but quite small for two people the tv was probably 10 years old and the remote needed a good clean

Great location, regrettable experience …

Reviewed By SharkyQ

The accommodations are on expanded acreage which is inviting. The administration staff was very friendly and the price was quite attractive. The premises caters for pets. Regrettably it stopped there for me. The room is very tiny, the shower room has insufficient space to place personal items and is ‘70s style. The room has just 1 side cabinet though I don’t believe a 2nd would fit. The walls are paper thin and we had our own next-doors -yes two - “entertainment”. Then the disconcerting sound of showers and toilets flushing. Ordinarily I don’t comment on accommodation shortcomings but this I had to tell. The place has a lot of potential but needs to correct these shortfalls.

Such a special place!

This is a beautiful and unique property that made a special family occasion extra special. We rambled through the amazing gardens, enjoyed tea and cake at the garden gazebo, nibbles in the gorgeous front room overlooking the gardens, played the historical piano and chatted in the formal lounge and played cards at the big dining table. Such a delight to enjoy such a historic mansion right in Maitland! Sarina was a lovely, helpful and non-imposing host. Good idea to bring some earplugs for the bats which were enjoying the garden too but a tad noisy at night from some of the bedrooms.

Potential...

Reviewed By Papalite

We stayed for a couple of nights over Christmas and our first thought was disappointment, having booked a groupon package, the king deluxe room with sofa, didn’t exist. Breakfast was little packets of cereal, glass of juice (?) and a couple of slices of break given the day prior. The pool is really small and as the motel was at, or near capacity we opted to avoid it and the numerous kids crowding it. The room was ok. Parking is an issue ( very tight for our allocated room) and as we had a lot of our personal recreation equipment in the back of our colarado (covered by the tonnue and sealed, we were very concerned where the allocated parking was. The greatest attribute of the hotel is the hosts, who had only owned the hotel for a month or so. They were keen to help where the could and we enjoyed their hospitality.
