Wonderful cozy space with amazing views
Reviewed By elizabethhY6298QFA friend and I stayed there for 2 nights to explore the area and loved this hotel. The staff was friendly and courteous and helpful. It is a bit of a walk and it's pretty much all uphill from the train station so if you have a lot of luggage I recommend a bus or arranging a ride but once you are up there the view is wonderful. I would stay again if I was back in the area

The decoratio is fantastic.. a mix of old and modern Everything is clean ..and neat.. the kitchen ..the rooms ..the overall of the place was very good. Located in a nice neighborhood. You can use the terrace ...the lounge ....I love the coffee machine I recommend this place.. In case I am back in Bern .. I will definitely stay here .

Such a warm person who shows sincere interest, we literally cried when we left. We traveled to Interlaken for the first time and found this hotel through Booking.com. We stayed here for 5 nights and it was surely not enough to see all the beautiful places around Interlaken. The hotel is located on the corner of the main road towards the city centre and about 7 mins walking distance to Interlaken West train station. We stayed in a double room which was not so big, but this was exactly what we expected and what you pay for. If you desire a super big room and ac you should book a 5 star hotel for double the price. We went to Interlaken for traveling so the only thing we did in the hotel was sleep, shower and breakfast.. for these things this hotel is perfectly suitable. The rooms are clean, shower gives high pressure water and the breakfast.. amazing! Our host Christine was so nice and shows true hospitality. She prepares the breakfast, which included fresh fruits, different kinds of cheese, breads, coffee, tea, juice, yoghurts.. The breakfast was really above our expectations. Christine greets us every morning and was sincerely interested in what we were planning to do that day.. She gave recommendations and because of her help we had an amazing experience in Interlaken. We will definitely come back to Interlaken and to hotel Alphorn!!

Reviewed By richardfO4972CGI chose this place because it was handy for the Young Boys stadium and for town. It is a 15 minute walk from the station and a bus ride to the ground. The City Tax covers your use of public transport so remember to ask the staff for a pass. The hotel itself reminded my of the Rhineland hotels I used to stay in as a kid and has lovely old fashioned rooms. The staff are also very helpful. My only slight complaint is that breakfast items are not replenished. I arrived about half way through the sitting and had less choice of items than if I'd got there at the start. Apart from that a brilliant stay.

Reviewed By jomartin3Our room had a fantastic view of the Eiger, wonderful to wake up to each morning. The room was comfortable and exceptionally clean. Breakfast was plentiful. Staff were all very helpful especially when my fiancé broke his arm in a skiing accident.

Ego (capsule room) - clean, well designed, great bathroom but needs more ventilation.
Reviewed By maddyb123I stayed two nights in an Ego room (a capsule). The room was well designed, spotlessly clean, very comfortable bed. However it didn't have any ventilation except a vent above the door and was quite stuffy, even in early May. I mentioned this at check out and they said they were doing something about this. Honestly I wouldn't stay in a capsule room here in summer unless there was more air! Bathroom was excellent!! One bathroom shared for three people. Great shower! Lovely shower gel and shampoo. Location very close to stunning lake. Free buses including into town - but you need to ask at reception for bus pass. Great space and WiFi if you want to do some remote work. Lack of cafes/restaurants close by (except for what is available at the hotel) . Breakfast seemed very expensive do I are elsewhere. I feel this hotel kind of lacks identity. It felt more like a college with all of the students about than a hotel. I also found reception staff, while kind, could have been more helpful. E. G. I had to really ask about bus pass - they should mention it. Then had to probe further about where to get bus from. They also didn't mention the free Hub drink I should have got from booking directly on the website. So I would recommend focusing more on hospitality as if I had paid for a proper room, not a great value capsule, I think I would have been a bit disappointed. I would give 3.5 stars if I could.

When I check in the hotel, Mr George tells us the room is not allowed to eat hot food in the room, but while the Swiss government has close all the restaurant. The hotel should state this information in the online travel agent. The host is so rude that he yells at us not once but twice by saying some very bad words, there is no reason for a so called 'hotel' staff to yell at their customers, we did wrong and we would accept any punishment but we could not accept a hotel staff to yell at us and saying bad words. In my point of view, the host makes us feel that we are not welcome to the hotel from the beginning, we were being discriminated because of our nationality. Moreover, the hotel wifi connection is very poor and slow.

Reviewed By Caddilac89Few minutes walk away from Interlaken West, 2 bus stops close to the hotel and buses are free to use with guest card. My twin room on the highest floor is very clean and spacious with comfortable bedding, strong WiFi and there is a small fan in my room. Shared toilets are kept clean. Breakfast is simple but adequate, the lady is very friendly and always check if we need another coffee. Just be prepared to climb the stairs if you get the room on fifth floor, as well as some noise from the restaurants downstairs at night until around 10pm if you room is facing the street.

Wonderful find in Thun! Better than expected stay
Reviewed By SapphireRose88Hotel Spedition was easy to find, just around 15mins from Thun mian Station, or even faster around 5 mins walk via bus number 1 from directly outside the main station. The hotel is in a standalone building beside Coop grocery store a garden center and a cinema complex. The entrance of the hotel is via the reataurant. With regards to the room, it was new and very very clean. It also had fantastic air conditioning which was such a welcome treat as it was boiling outside. Showers and bed were fantastic. I actually stayed in 2 other 5 star hotels before I arrived in hotel Spedition and I can confidently say that the beds at hotel spedition was by far the best. I had the best night's sleep at this hotel. Breakfast was OK but perhaps just a minor feedback that it would have completed the great stay experience if the hotel kitchen offered a service where we could choose our eggs and how it was cooked. They only had hard boiled eggs. I would definitely recommend Hotel Spedition. It is one of the better Boutique hotels in Thun for sure.

Reviewed By katiet2906We had a lovely stay, staff were very accommodating and friendly. We arrived early for check in but they sorted our room out and were very helpful. The breakfast is included with the room and is delicious, especially the homemade museli! I asked for Ingrediants in English and she came back with a list for us - very sweet! Great location and would recommend to others. It can be noisy with others arriving but this wasn't for long and didn't bother us.
