Noisy Hotel

Reviewed By Kevin W

I booked a King Bed, with a Courtyard View but I was given a Twin Room overlooking the street! When I asked the owner about this, he basically fobbed me off. He assured me that the area was quiet and that I would not be disturbed by noise. He also stated that the Restaurant/Bar, which was directly below my balcony would close at 11.00pm but 2-days later he hosted a large dinner party, until 12.30am? The advertising for this property, states that it has soundproofing but I’m not sure what they mean by this because this is by far the noisiest hotel that I’ve stayed in and I’ve stayed in hundreds of hotels over the years. The noise transmission from the adjoining rooms was so bad that you could hear them switch the lights on and off and one night I could even hear someone snoring, after I was woken by street noise. You can hear people walking around upstairs and dragging furniture across the tiled floors. Noise resonates up the stairwell and along the corridors. The French Door to the balcony was double glazed but it was either poor quality, or badly fitted because that also let noise in, to the extent that it seemed like it was actually open. To make matters worse, they have eternal Metal Shutters, instead of curtains, or blinds, which are another unnecessary noise source – You basically have to wait for your neighbours to close their shutters before trying to get to sleep.

Precious Place in Peguera

and linen - Great breakfast - Walking distance to the attractions & beach - and fabulous hosts! We did a last minute booking for 3 friends from London to get away from the miserable weather. We were skeptical at first as we read hostal as in English hostal.Howeevr it was definitely a hotel with lots of great touches. From our "late check-in" to our "late check-out" Patrik & Gunnar were incredibly accommodating - pardon the pun. Our beds were turned down daily by lovely Coco The housekeeper. Breakfast was included a continental style buffet with eggs made to order , coffee water and juice endless supply each morning. The Location is set back from the main roads so it was as quiet as we would like it with “gratis” parking in front of the hotel . A few minutes away and there’s a very tidy but bustling “high street” with all the cuisines and drinks your heart could desire and tourist shops , the beach was a bit beyond this making it perfect for visitors of all pallets x great place and will definitely come again. The hosts and location really make this a gem! thank you guys

Stayed a few times here me and my husband. Really good location. Friendly cleaner. Regular fresh towels. coffee making facilities and a drinks vendor in reception. Room is clean, bright and beds are comfy. comes with a mini fridge and hairdryer. Tv is good. I would say its a top quality room. Excellent shower. We had a lovely balcony terrace with a table, chairs and sun longer. Perfect. You can sometimes here and see younger ones staying at the lively magaluf hotel but its fine not noisy for long quite quiet to say near the end off strip. Lovely food in restaurant next door and also supermarket staff underneath friendly and convenient with good prices. We will definitely be back again. Nothing like a hostal. Can use lively magaluf pool when its not closed.

Great service but know little about activities

Reviewed By eleanorteig

I arrived here with a group of about 20 18-ish year olds, and we were greeted well, with free access to WiFi and a complementary welcome drink by the pool. The bartenders and waiters were awesome - we made friends with some of them, and they made our stay very enjoyable! The food is very good, with friendly cooks and an excellent buffet - both for breakfast and dinner. I liked how there were themes for dinner at different days (eg. Wednesday was sushi night!). The only problem I really had with this hotel was that they aren’t very helpful in finding activities. We asked for guidance to find a place to do cliff jumping and parasailing, and the reception sent us to Palma center, only to discover that the place we were recommended was on the other side of the island. So if you want to do activities outside of the hotel, research them yourself instead of getting the reception to help. (There is a table for “guest activities” or something, but I never saw anyone sit there :/ ) Overall, very good place to stay with friends!! Of course, you have to deal with the overwhelming amount of Germans around the hotel, but that’s just part of the experience :D. Best part: staff Worst(-ish) part: knowledge about activities
