Reviewed By mrmikedrhodesVery clean and comfortable room, Friendly staff, Pet friendly and without extra charges for our 4 legged family member. Restaurant, economical with a good choice, they really overfilled us. Continental buffet breakfast was probably the best we have ever had. We will definitely stop there on our next trip to Italy. Super value for money. 5 mins to the motorway.

An excellent stay at villes escoles
Reviewed By shareenl0pezOur group of 10 stayed here for 2 nights. Excellent hospitality and Catalan home cooking by Cory and her team. They took care of all our needs - there were 7 cyclists in the group and there was a convenient space to build and store bicycles. Beautiful rooms and communal areas to hang out and do daily debriefs.

Great place to stay
Reviewed By AnnieL808This was a great find and excellent value for a one star hotel. It is a family run business who are extremely helpful and friendly. The rooms are comfortable with air conditioning. There is a shaded courtyard for breakfast which is a lovely place to sit and eat the included breakfast which is plentiful, tasty and with unlimited good coffee. It is a 10 minute walk to the beach but this makes it a very quiet hotel for sleeping I would definitely stay here again when I’m next in Cambrils

Lovely surprise
Reviewed By thecorpoCambrils is a lovely town but most of the seafront restaurants are either very expensive or serve substandard food. Fonda Montersat isn't conveniently located for most tourists but is absolutely worth the 20 minute walk away from the seafront. Beautiful Spanish food and with 3 courses plus wine and water for 11 Euro, an absolute bargain. Will be back!

This location, high quality rooms and absolute tranquility deserve the highest praise and we completely enjoyed our time here. The decor, room size, facilities and the terrace (on our room “Monastrell”) were top quality and as good or better than anywhere we have stayed. Our only criticism was that we were not prepared for the very basic food on offer for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Nor were we expecting such slow service at times. Our photos show the very limited menu usually available, on one evening the hotel prepared a special menu with the main course being Churrasco. Sounded delicious but was a complete disaster and frankly inedible, in fact we couldn’t eat it! One morning breakfast took 45 minutes to arrive, our order consisted of one round of toast each, two juices, two coffees and a plate of fruit. Most important, especially if staying for multiple days (we stayed for 4) take plenty of cash as the drinks and food bills must be settled in cash. However, and to end on a positive the two employees seemed to have to do everything apart from cleaning the rooms. They could not have been more helpful but they appeared to be overwhelmed by the catering side particularly. Would better quality catering have improved our enjoyment, yes! Would we recommend the hotel, definitely yes. Finally, there are ample facilities available at the hotel for a typical breakfast buffet to be served which could have reduced waiting time to virtually zero, why this is not re-introduced, escapes me! We would strongly suggest taking your own breakfast provisions, cereals, juices etc. There are good facilities to support this, also take Nespresso capsules as there are two machines to dispense much better quality coffee than served by the hotel.

Hostal Platja enjoys a prime ideal location next to the port of Cambrils, only 150 meters from the beach Regueral. The simple, comfortable rooms have private bathrooms, air conditioning, minibar, TV and free Wi-Fi. Hostal Platja offers good value for money, according stay and time of year; a restaurant serving typical local cuisine. There are also many popular restaurants and cafes along the harbor. Hostal Platja is just 6 km from the famous resort of Salou on the Costa Dorada. The Port Aventura theme park is 8 km. The Roman city of Tarragona is a 20 minute drive or a short train ride. The Cambrils train station is 15 minutes walk from the Hostal Platja.

Reviewed By Fergal RWe had a very pleasant few days here. Room was comfortable, if a little small. Spotlessly clean throughout. The rooftop terrace is a really nice place to relax in the evening. The bathroom is very compact! The location is great, as the Hostal is very close to the marina and all the lovely restaurants in the area.

The worst hotel with thief
Reviewed By Maryam Mohammed MAfter a worst and cold night and a pessime bathroom with a strange noise and no hot water, the cleaning woman has stolen me all the money when I was showering. The hungry chief has declared to the police there was no cleaning woman, so the justice will never be done. Stay away from this place!!!!!

Very well situated, friendly hotel
Reviewed By mobielWe stayed in this hotel for 5 nights to discover the priorat and montsant region nearby, but also for the coast (although apart from cambrills that's nothing exciting unless you go for sunbathing on the beach) it is very well situated. The rooms are comfortable and spacious, (if you don't want a wake up call from the church clocks at 8 am ask maybe for a room in the back). Breakfast was great, with fresh juice, fruit and tortilla every day, served in a small dining room. We didn't use the Spa (50€), but other readers seem to like it... The owners are very friendly and always ready to give you advise, take the maps about priorat on the reception desk, so you don't have to pass via the tourism office at Falset any more. We didn't particulary like the restaurant but that's because we ordered seafood that seemed not to be fresh..(we might have been just unlucky), anyway we didn't go back after this event so can't say anything about the rest of the food.. Without any doubt we liked the hotel and would stay again!
