We consider our apartments to be comfortable and modern, ideal for an enjoyable stay. Situated in a residential area of Puerto de la Cruz, with wonderful views of Teide and the Orotava Valley, just 800m walk from the centre and the seawater pools Lagos Martianez. Nearby you can find supermarkets, shops and restaurants. Our studios with sleeping area and 1 or 2 bedroom apartments have fully equipped kitchenettes and private bathroom with bath and shower and are equipped with a hairdryer. The kitchen area includes a full cooker with oven, refrigerator, coffee maker, juicer, toaster and microwave. The apartments also boast satellite TV, direct dial telephone, a safe and personal Wi-Fi. Cleaning is carried out 5 times per week, with the change of bed linen twice a week and towels every other day. Baby cots and highchair are available on request free of charge. Our cafe bar offers continental breakfast with thermal carafes service and a wide and varied menu of combined dishes. We also have 24h reception service, gym with special prices for our clients, games room, pool table, table tennis, Internet access, coin laundry and an outdoor swimming pool with access for disabled guests and a separate pool for children. Entertainment program is provided throughout the year and an additional program for children during the summer. Great apartments and location
Reviewed By A4213XRandWe loved the apartments, well furnished and maintained and the location, it's a short walk to the beach and shops. Although the nearby beach had quite a lot of stones, so we usually went to a better one around 30 minutes walk from the hotel. I can't give it 5* as some days had loud live music up to 11pm which is isn't nice if you need to wake up early to go on day trips. It wasn't some kind of wild drinking and partying, it was actually decent entertainment and quite nice except for being scheduled too late in the evening.

Catalonia Las Vegas could not be better situated: directly at the sea, in front of the Martinez Lakes and with views of Teide mountain. Furthermore, it is located in the very centre of the city of Puerto de la Cruz. The hotel was recently renovated in 2004 and has 261 rooms on its 13 floors. The hotel has a heated swimming pool, children's swimming pool, miniature golf, table tennis, pool, petanque, sauna, beauty salon, coffee bar and much more.

Reviewed By LizzyDublinWe stayed here as part of Group with the Travel Department and really enjoyed our stay. The hotel was very good. Our package was all inclusive, which was a first for us. The food was very good, buffet style, with a great selection every day and our package included water and wine with our meals. The hotel could probably do with an update but it is very good value. Cleanliness was excellent and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a basic room without a balcony but we were facing the front of the hotel (427) and so had a view of the sea and harbour area. The pool area was also lovely and well kept with beautiful trees and plants. The only thing I would comment on was the lack of a fridge in the rooms, but I think they were removed because of Covid? A pity 'cos we could have done with one for holding water.

Reviewed By clairemH903QLJust wrapping up a 5 night stay here and I have to say the staff are some of the best, most charming and most helpful, we’ve ever met. This place deserves more recognition. Spotlessly clean rooms, happy staff and a great place to relax. Food at the buffet is plentiful and minibar and main bar prices are reasonable. Here with my two children (17 & 9). For the older one the shuttle to the shops is great. For the younger one, he loves the pool and the people! There aren’t other children here but to be fair it’s fine and as long as he can swim about or play pool, he’s happy!

Reviewed By Explorer14483904111On arrival we were met by two Spanish men.. gave our names and room keys were handed to us.. no greeting, no information given about hotel. We were half board but nothing was said to us.. here’s your keys now bye bye.. very disappointing. We had to figure things out for ourselves. Food is not great tbh we ate once for dinner and that was enough. Ate out since some lovely local restaurants. The pool area also very disappointing very small and Spanish ppl keep sun-beds for others not even at the pool.. again visited once in our whole stay. A lot of Spanish in hotel very loud at times. Room says air conditioning but it’s rubbish and noisy we had to leave the balcony doors open which was cooler. On a positive note the hotel had a magnificent view of the area and only a short walk to all local facilities. Unfortunately we would not stop here again. Love Lago Martianez

Reviewed By Shaun65SHotel looks aging and needs a good refub. But it is clean, maintained and friendly staff. The entertainment was geared for the over 60. so was not my cup of tea. Pool area was lovely, clean and I never had a problem getting a sunbed. though a few was broken. Dinning area was always busy but you could always get a table but I was SOLO. Great range of different foods to try, lots of fish foods, so I tried 3 different fish I'd never tried before. I will look at for in restaurant's back home. Bar was ok, userly only one staff on, sometimes you had to wait a while. I'd sit back down and wait. I have to saytghis is a hotel geared for the GERMAN, French and Spanish market not UK. There was only a handful English speaking. Again for me I didn't care. 3 1/2 to 4 is a fair score.

Reviewed By Nelly59CRI stayed at the Hotel Las Aguilas for a week in May 2022 as part of a walking holiday. For driving purposes, the hotel is handily located on the top of a small hill (so geat views), close to the TF-5 motorway, which makes it very easy to head out on trips to the north, south or middle of the island. There is plenty of free parking. It's a bit of a distance from the beaches in Puerto de la Cruz (about a mile and a half), but it's walkable in about half an hour or so. It's quite downhill on the way to the beach and therefore quite uphill on the way back, but the hotel does have a complimentary shuttle bus (although I never actually used it myself). The hotel is nicely presented and my room was spacious and comfortable, with a big balcony and a great view (photos attached). There are two lovely swimming pools, both of which were pretty quite the whole time I was there. I was on an all inclusive package, so I ate in the hotel's buffet restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There was a good selection of good food all the time and the restaurant never got particularly busy. If you weren't on an all inclusive package then there didn't appear to be many alternative places to eat nearby, although there were a couple of large supermarkets, easily walkable, but along the side of a footpath-less road). The staff were all very friendly and helpful and overall I had a really good time and would not hesitate to stay there again.

Reception staff poor communication ( I just arrived around 23.00 at the hotel on our first night and there was a guy at the reception called David, I asked him for parking at the hotel as there was no parking around. His answer was please park outside ?. All this after explaining that there is no space outside. He also hold our passports till morning as he said is part of hotel procedure. I was so surprised...it never happened this to me. I couldn't ask him anything ( I had ready a set of questions regarding the hotel but because the only language that he coud talk was Spanish...I couldn't ask him anything. -I was expecting to find details about the opening and closing times for restaurant, pool, bar into my room but there was no leaflets or staff like that. I had to go to reception next day and ask for this details..They said to me please scan that bar code located on the desk next to the TV in the room. Went back and scanned the thing, sended me on a website and guess what there was limited information and again no information about opening and closing time of the restaurant and other facilities. I had to go down to the reception again and finaly ask them to print me some details. Shame on them as they couldn't find this quick and have to wait about 10 min. After this I just simple asked what benefits we have by having this reservation ( "My Favourite Club Double Ocean View ( 2 adults + 1 child)€ 812.19 TOtal price"). Now the story start when they had to check multiple documents, making few call and asking their manager..Ridiculous. Another problem was the famous " face mask ", when we landed into the airport I have personally asked the police and covid staff if mask is still mandatory on the public , open space and inside. They said clearly NO , its just up to me if I wanted to wear it.(recommended). Again when I first came to hotel at reception no one wear mask inside, and no one asked me to wear one. -First breakfast we had I just had to fight with that lady at the restaurant check in , as she said to me if you want to come inside you have to wear a mask ??. I had to tell her the story and she said is internal rules. I couldn't believe all this to me from beginning. ( Then for every breakfast and dinner we had , we always had to fight with the staff there) They were so rude. Another minus is the AC which is an simple switch with 3 stages for the fan ( Nothing digitally, remember is 2022). - Everytime we do shower the bath get flooded because of bad shower cabin. That lead to water goes under the laminated floor and we couldn't close the door between the bedroom and hallway. - Only one socket for one plug next to the bed (unbelievable). - The TV has only few channels to watch and I was a visitor to the country I was expecting to connect my phone to the TV and watch probably Netflix. But guess what we live in 2022 and that wasn't a Smart TV. (I can mention that was a huge 55 inch LG.) Now restaurant again, I don't want to be a bad guy but We never eat tasteless food in any other hotels we went, comparing with this one. There was a lot of selection of foods but just few of them that can be eaten. I was staving some times and after eating at the hotel I had to find an external restaurant to go and eat. - For dinner you need to pay for your drinks that's not included on the price. Big minus I personally apologise if I will made anyone upset but this is the TRUTH about Alua Tenerife. Thank you and I hope this was seen by a manager. Good staff about Alua First thing first 5 starts for the cleaning staff, always clean and tidy, new towels etc. -Comfortable bed with plenty pillows. -Huge balcony with nice view. -The hotel was renovated recently, furniture, electronics, everything brand new also you can notice that all investment was on low budget as all these brand new staff look cheap. -Large pool with plenty sunbeds -Cool reception when you get into the hotel looks like a 5 star Hotel.

The hotel has been recently refurbished and is surrounded by a splendid subtropical garden with a large variety of regional plants.It is situated 10 minutes from the city centre and from the Martiánez swimming pool and artifitial lake complex, creation of the lanzaroteño artist César Manrique.The capital Santa Cruz is 35 km away and the airports Reina Sofía (south) and Los Rodeos (north) are 96 km and 25 km away respectively.
OK-ish.. Wouldn't bother with "all-inclusive" drinks
Reviewed By 2ChristineBBooked all inclusive for a weekend get away over Easter with a friend. Facilities were OK. Rooms and bathrooms are a bit dated but overall not too bad. Very disappointed with the all inclusive. The food wasn't too bad, a fair amount of options (although if you are vegetarian or vegan I would probably avoid and there were a few dishes labelled as "meat" which I didn't sample as I prefer to know what I am eating). The "all-inclusive" is very misleading.. I wasn't surprised at only having house spirits available but there were restrictions on what alcohol was included. Only 3 of the cocktail menu were free, all the others you had to pay extra for and the bar menu for snacks was also limited to only a couple of options. We made sure we drank any cocktails at other bars as we refused to pay for any extras at the hotel. Service was ok. The staff in the restaurant were pleasant and helpful but those on reception and at the bar were pretty frosty. As others have mentioned, it is up a hill so if you walk down to the beach you do need a minimum level of fitness to get back up. Having said that it is quite a short walk and wasn't really a problem for us. All in all, it was fine for a long weekend, probably wouldn't stay any longer and won't be rushing back.

Fantastic hotel

Restaurant is brilliant, huge choice of food, beautifully prepared and presented also great theme nights. Longest queue at the bar was around 2 minutes, huge range of soft and alcoholic drinks available including cocktails. Pool area was always immaculate, always sun beds available even when arriving at the pool mid morning or afternoon! Agree with a previous post, it would have been great to be permitted to use floats in the pool. Rooms are huge with a huge balcony. We overlooked the sea for no extra cost! Maid service was daily and room was always immaculate. The hotel has a fantastic location, right on the beachfront and about 1 minute away from all the shops and bars. We have never been to Tenerife before but have already decided to return. Will definitely come back to this hotel 10/10!

Reviewed By chr15-rI don't like leaving bad reviews but here go's. Had to move hotels half way through my holiday as the pool needed to be drained because of a leak and all sunbeds were removed. I had to find out this by asking staff as I wasn't told in advance just seen it all developing throughout the morning. Management attitude was the worst I've ever seen even rude at times to me and other quests I'd met at this hotel. I won't be returning to this hotel because not only is it badly managed it's not the standard it advertised either. I along with other guest was moved to Alua Tenerife Hotel which is part of the same group as this hotel and what a difference. Staff at Alua Tenerife couldn't do enough for us. Avoid at all costs would be my advice!!!!
